This hotel was absolutely disgusting. They are "renovating" but everything was old, dingy, and just disgusting. After using Expedia to book my hotel, I couldn't back out. The negative reviews are very true. There is no Wifi, there is no breakfast, and the microwave and fridge in the room were absolutely disgusting...rusted and worn. The room was crammed, […] no space and a table and chairs shoved into a corner. The towels and sheets were dirty, in a non-smoking room there was a comforter with cigarette burns in it. The sheets were washed but stained. The shower had no happy medium, it was either freezing or scolding. I wore flip flops to take my shower. I am so glad I bought my own blanket and pillows. The room was filthy. it was in utter disrepair. wallpaper hanging off the wall. dirty pillow cases, filthy matrsses. ill fitting sheets. mildew in the shower, shower curtain was disgusting. all in all, i will never step foot into another knights inn, i dont care where it is. i was nothing short of appalled.

The clerk was not fluent in English. She tried to charge my credit card again, even though I booked through Hotels.com and had already been charged. It took about 30 minutes to check in. The walls of the bathroom were only half repaired with sheetrock exposed and trim missing. The fire alarm was not present, though you could see where it belonged. This hotel was by far, one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. The room itself was dirty, housekeeping did *not* do a good job. It was run-down & hardly anything worked. We had to switch rooms because the 1st one had scalding hot water (no cold) in the tub so my son couldn't shower. There was no mircrowave, iron, ironing board, or WIFI as promised. […] They told us to go to the front desk to use WIFI. 1 of 3 lights were burned out, the a/c barely worked, & the breakfast was stale doughnuts & burned coffee. Hotel ad mentioned pool and laundry which were both out of order. Hotel trying to update with new mattresses and ugly orange & rust paint. Buffet consisted of stale doughnuts & bad coffee, arrive 2 minutes late and SOL. Soap only, don't expect much else. Quiet and cheap, that I will admit.

this was the dirtiest, worst maintained motel i've ever been. I ordered three rooms all of them were not clean, dirty towels, bed sets, one of the 2 out of 6 beds were broken, 1 out of 3 refridggerators was not working.

Extremely run-down hotel in a sketchy area. I have travelled in the third world, and by third world standards, this hotel would be fine. But by the standards of most Americans, this hotel is a trainwreck. To enter this hotel means driving through a carport that looks as though it is ready to collapse on you. It seems there are people who live in this hotel long-term, and they were watching me pull up to my room and unload my vehicle from their open doors. Sketchy atmosphere, to say the least. The hotel is a Knights Inn brand, but my room key card said "quality inn" on it. My room had received a halfhearted renovation, with new toilet and tub that still had the stickers on them. Bathroom layout was strange, with a long reach for the toilet paper. Towels were mismatched. Room smelled bad. A/C Unit, Bedding, phone, and Mini-fridge were all very old. (A/C reeked when I turned it on) As I was going to sleep, I looked at my pillow, and through the pillow slip I saw mildew spots. I pulled the slip off the pillow and it was way gross. I finally found the least worst pillow and used it for the night. Take another look at hotels in the Roanoke area; for a few dollars more, you'll be able to have a quantum leap in quality. Older motel that needs more work. Advertised continental breakfast was non-existent. Sunday morning at 8:30 and nothing but a few donuts, likely from the day before, coffee and juice.

Although the room looked clean, the bathroom door would not close all the way. There was no shampoo provided. There were 2 rolls of toilet paper, both of which were almost empty. The bath towel was extremely small and very scratchy. The lighting was so dim I could not even read my book. It reminded me of a sleazy hotel.

We didn't pay much for our night at this inn so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that we didn't get much for our money. The pool was closed even though it was mid July. I don't think we would have swum in it anyway since it was pretty unattractive. The worst thing was that breakfast was just inedible donuts - even the kids complained - although […] the coffee was good. The best thing was the Papa Johns pizza we ordered - it arrived very hot and on time. When we arrived it was over 100 deg outside and the room was sweltering.
