This was an excellent stay. I go to the Decatur area about three or four times a year for business and this was my first time using these facilities...great choice. It is a good location, the staff was helpful, and the hotel clean.

Location.
Situated in Huntsville, Huntsville Knights Inn is close to University of Alabama-Huntsville, Huntsville Botanical Garden, and Madison Square Mall. Also nearby are Oakwood University and Sci-Quest North Alabama Science Center.

Good for a quick cheap stay. Serves its purpose but no frills

"Huntsville Knights Inn"
The only positive thing was the room ws clean. They charged extra for non smoking after I arrived then all they did was unscrew a smoking room sign and screw in a nonsmoking sign. Saw them do it. While there, I was asked to stay in the room or leave the hotel while a situation was going on. It was exciting but not the kind I would recommend.

Night check in was terribly rude. Room smelled like it had been cleaned in months. Bed linens smelt bad and the a/c didnt cool the room off. Ill pass next time. Thanks though.

Knights Inn on University Ave. in Huntsville, AL is a very economical place to spend a pleasant night. Rooms are clean, staff are always pleasant, the location is convenient, and the price is very affordable. On the other hand, the toilet leaked after flushing due to a faulty plug (which results in running water, but it could be stopped by hand; brought […] to the attention of management), and the AC was a bit loud. Sometimes you say you get what you pay for but this was not even the case. The hotel front office was closed at 9 pm when we arrived so you had to do your transaction through a window. Which was understandable because of the surrounding area. The room was in decent shape but the bathroom was nasty. The toilet leaked so the floor stayed wet. I thought […] the paint was coming off the door but it was actually the door splintering apart. We wnt less than a mile down the street and stayed at the LaQuinta for the same price and it was much better. I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel to a friend. Read more

This is an older motel but reasonably well maintained. The rooms are very large and ours included a fridge and microwave. Unfortunately one of the beds was very squeaky and lumpy. The neighborhood is a little iffy so I definitely wouldn't recommend this motel for families. Also they have no pool. Not a bad stay for the price.
