Dirty. stinky n rundown...unwashed linens..hair in sink...hair on pillow cases..blood on box springs..had to switch rooms three times due to room not being cleaned...mushrooms growing out of carpet and my boys refused to even sit on beds they wanted to leave..would never ever stay again!!! "Right Off Interstate With Big Choices Were To Eat"
You get what you pay for; cheap hotel at a cheap price. For us, we only needed a place to sleep and take a shower. It is located right off the interstate and there are all kinds of places to eat on both sides of the interstate; big choices. "Just what I needed!"
I was taking my elderly relatives to a family reunion and had been locked in the car with the 82 year old bickering for 3 hours. Originally I had booked a queen suite at another chain across the street but cancelled it when I read about the loud train. I opted for 3 separate rooms at the Travelodge for about the same price. That way, my dad and aunt […] could have their own rooms and I could have some peace and quiet. The young woman who checked us in could not have been more helpful. She made sure the two old ones were on ground floor connecting rooms so they would feel safe, and she got me as close to them as possible. "Tavelodge Cordele, GA: Not worth it"
The owner Mr. Patel first denied the non-smoking reservation saying he only had smoking rooms, even after I showed him printouts. After much talking and asking to call hotels.com, he finally provided two non-smoking rooms but they are upstairs. Since we didn't have a choice, we pulled all our luggage to the room upstairs. Once in, we found the pillows […] and sheets were smelling of perfume and stuff. When we called him and complained thoroughly, he said he will now provide non-smoking rooms at the ground level. We were surprised how he got those rooms all of a sudden and he said there was some 'cancellation just now'. I don't believe he was honest especially after the denial of reservation earlier. When asked for his name so I could complain to hotels.com, he refused to give it to me. This place is cheap but surely not worth the savings. This owner is poorly mannered and seems to have no sense of customer service. There were some college boys drinking and talking loudly till late at night. Stayed at Travelodge in Cordele over the weekend to take my son to see Thomas the Train at Veterans Memorial State Park. The room was very clean and well maintained. THIS HOTEL HAD TENT PEOPLE LIVING OUTSIDE IN THE PARKING LOT. THEY HAD MAKE SHIFT STOVES AND BEDS SET UP UNDER TENTS. ALSO THERE HAD BEEN A LOCAL GAME PLAYED THE NIGHT WE CHECK IN AND THE LOCAL TEENAGERS WERE THERE IN SEVERAL ROOMS. THEY SMOKED AND DRANKED AND RAN ROUDY ALL NIGHT LONG.
