"Clean & Friendly"
Room was clean. Full size refrigerator with kitchen setting for 2 provided. Great if your looking to save money eating in. 2 burner stove, microwave with pots/pans provided. Located right off the hwy, easy access. No complimentary breakfast provided so make sure you bring something if you like to eat right away. Located 1/2 block from 2nd largest "bat […] bridge" in the area. Definitely recommend this hotel. We will stay here again when in town. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worst suite ever"
What can I say but the truth. There were dead bugs outside room doorway, live ants on bedside table, mattress old and springy, carpets heavily stained, outside of refrigerator dirty, the walls/ceilings were so thin could hear footsteps all night long and surrounding televisions. Ending on a positive note, the front desk hospitality was very nice, professional, […] and friendly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfy hotel in the middle of Roundrock"
We had a great stay! It was a comfy room, queen bed; a/c unit kept the temp just right, and wasn't too noisy. The windows also open for greater ventilation. The three or four trains in the night bothered my husband but earplugs solved that the second night. They were a comforting familiar sound to me. We loved the teapot for hot tea since we don't usually […] drink coffee, and the mini-fridge kept our supper leftovers safely. We had plenty of room for our luggage and daypacks, both on the table, and chairs, and closet. Thanks for a great experience! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Friendly staff and clean rooms"
We enjoyed our stay especially the free DVDs that were available to borrow in the lobby. Hotel staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Overall I would stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review
We were in the area to check out the Round Rock/Austin area. I would say it is convenient to get here if you know the highway system. We were not familiar with this and it was a little bit of a challenge to get there the first time. Our room had a very distinct food smell. This is somewhat to be expected since you have a kitchen. I did buy a room freshener […] spray at the CVS to help. Overall, great stay. Very close to the interstate but got very little road noise. There is a train track very close but we didn't notice the noise at night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"I would go back."
I found the Candlewood in Round Rock, TX to be just right for what they are there to be. The staff at the front desk were great, responsive, alert, friendly, and very helpful. I added an additional night, and instead of telling me to do it through hotel.com, they just fixed it for me. I am sure another person would have been less customer service oriented. […] Some of the other guest were a little less caring of other guest. I have no idea why people think it is okay to scream down halls, or to let their children play in the hall ways. The only thing that was odd for me to get accustomed to, was their once a week room cleaning. The room was clean and comfortable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I loved the hotel. The only reason why they didn't get a 5 from me is because once u got off the elevator on the 3rd floor it smelled like smoke big time. Once u got in the room it was fine. The sofa wasn't that comfortable either. The TV's picture wasn't very clear.Genuine Expedia guest review
Right Next to I-35, you can hear the traffic passing all night. Overall our stay was very pleasant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were here for a family gathering at my brother's home. We didn't want to be crowded with a lot of people so we opted to stay at a hotel. The best decision ever! The place was clean, right off the highway, and quiet. We were right outside the basketball court, but couldn't hear anything. I do have to say that it was a little smokey in the hallways, […] but not so much that it was irritating. We were well rested when we left. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pungent cleaning agents"
Nice hotel, clean and comfortable but, the cleaning agents they used were detracted from the comfort of the room. Took days for the smell of what ever cleaning agents they used to get out of my sinuses.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Not a bad place to stay. Staff was friendly and it was quiet. The neighborhood had a bit to be desired of and there seemed to be quite a few sketchy folks around. Overall, great place to crash for a night or 2 in North Austin.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great family place and/or long term stay place."
Overall the experience was great. The staff was friendly and professional, rooms clean and well stocked with amenities, towels, kitchen stocked with basic essentials, just a nice place, especially if staying for several days.Genuine Expedia guest review
My stay at CandleWood was horrible I checked in around 11:00 pm I had a long drive and was needing some good rest. Around 3am the smoke detector in our room went off for about 1 minute. Waking out my sleep with an alarm that loud reminded me of my time in Iraq and Afghanistan, which wasn’t good. I called the front desk to ask for assistance and got […] none. The gentleman hung up in the middle of the conversation after I explained what happened, so I called back and ask to speak to management. He advise me management was out until Monday and there was nothing he could do. About 6:00 am the smoke detector when off again so I called the front desk and asked what could he do to make this right, once again I received no assistance. The smoke detector went off again at 8:00 am and 10:00 am this time when I called the front desk I received Mandy who was helpful and apologetic. I even explained that I took the battery out of the smoke detector and it still went off that many times. I’ve stayed at your property several times and always had a wonderful experience however based on my current experience I doubt ill be staying there ever again. I’m very disappointed in how all this was handled and expected way more. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Great place, just i didn't realize it was built for someone staying on a longer trip. Great place, though, comfy bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Candlewood Suites, Round Rock, TX"
Brought granddaughter to meet great grandmother for the first time and thought spending the night would make for an easier trip. Found Candlewood Suites online. The small kitchenette was a big plus. The rate was very reasonable too, I thought. Slept great--very comfortable queen size bed. Cooking in the room saved us time and money. The location was […] prime for us. Very easy access on and off of I-35. The staff member that checked us in was very helpful. I will definitely stay here again. And I've already told some of my friends about it. Noticed several amenities that would be a definite plus with a longer stay as well. A small gym with exercise equipment and a guest laundry. All in all a very satisfactory experience. "CANDELWOOD SUITES-ROUND ROCK"
We have used this hotel before and have nothing but good things to say about. Close to restuarants and shopping. Only complaint I have was that this time our room was across from the elevator, and we heard everyone as they exited to go to their rooms. If you stay here, make sure to get a room away from the elevator. I will stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Enjoyed our stay."
Everything was perfect. If i was to complain, I dont have anything to complain about. The only items I would suggest - at times the garbage containers at the end of the hall were very full. An added perk would be to replenish the coffee maker with more coffee, other hotels we stayed at, when the cleaned the rooms, the coffee maker was replenished with […] more coffee, and more soap in the bathroom. But these are really minor, just a suggestion to make it even better. Staff were great, always welcomed us when we returned every day. One day I did ask for a softer pillow and more towels - the staff were really nice and helpful. Lots of tv chanels. Even a lazy boy chair. Had a full fridge was convenient to store our leftovers. We noticed the breakfast you had downstairs, we planned on trying it, but we didnt get a chance to try it, but it did look appealing. I would definately stay here again! I have family here, and this would be my first choice when i return. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good for my business stay"
Close to my business location -good. The location between I35 and a heavily used very loud rail cargo (5 am to midnight) made it difficult to sleep for more than a few hours at a strech - very bad. A mini shop in the hotel (24 x 7) helped with the absolut basics- good. I.e. the night shift had no clue of anything besides the basic hotel affairs - bad. […] But, next morning everything was sorted out even before I contacted the manager - good! Bath room was very clean, towels were great - very good. Room was large, clean and the kitchenette allowed to store a lot of things - good. Window could be opened a few inches allowing for fresh air to come in - very good! Queen bed was confortable and pillow could be selected - good. Lots of parking lots, even when the hotel was booked out no problem in finding space even when I returned late (around midnight) - good. All in all a comfortable stay, but don't expect any extras. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"I am fond of it though not fully satisfied"
10/15/14 Sodaorchid Starkville, Mississippi, United States
1. The location is just beside I-35, which means it's convenient to drive to other parts of the city. But it also brings the problem of noise: half of their rooms are facing the highway, which is not a good news for someone sensitive to noise like me. I asked for a shift of the room but they refused me and said they do not have any room left though it was only 5:00 pm, 2 hours after the check-in time. 2. The room is clean, so are the appliances and cookwares. Though as a studio, it is not very spacious. 3. Staff is good. Because they do not offer daily cleaning, you may ask whatever you are short of on the front desk. But I called three times before they sent me the rolling bed I asked as early as I checked in. 4. They do not offer breakfast.

Arriving at the hotel, the exterior reminded me somewhat of a lower budget hotel. When we walked inside, in the lobby area, there was a really unpleasant smell that continued throughout the hallways of the entire hotel. It smelled sour and musty - not clean or fresh. Nikki at the front desk was very friendly, however and welcomed us to the hotel. The room was pretty nice, although some of the countertops were missing the trim for some reason. Thankfully, the awful smell from the hallways was not in the room as well! Plenty of space for us to set up our pack n' play for the baby. The bed was small - a queen? Nice kitchen area with stove, microwave, fridge, coffeepot, and even some microwave popcorn that we discovered in the cupboard the next morning. Pretty clean and didn't notice the sounds of the train at night, that some reviewers mention. For an inexpensive stay, I'd maybe go here again, but I wish they'd do something about that smell! Yuck!
"Not like any other Candlewood Suites we've stayed at."
This hotel looks to be somewhat of a low budget Candlewood Suites version. There was this weird smell as soon as you walk into the lobby. Front desk clerk was nice but the room was not like any other Candlewood Suites we've stayed at. The bed and quilts had hairs. The carpet by the TV smelled like cat urine :( The TV did not work.
"Home Life & Bats"
09/04/14 Voltiguer1 Dallas, Texas
Hotel has a great number of amenities. Room was very quiet and restful. Room had full kitchen, including dishwasher, and frig with ice maker and microwave with a pantry area and full set of eating utensils. Room was large with a living room and separate bedroom. Large TV's in both rooms and a separate bathroom. At the edge of the property large numbers of people gather each night to watch the Mexican Free-Tailed Bats emerge from their roost underneath the bridge overpass of I-35. Great unexpected treat. Hotel is dog friendly and had a very large weight room with several treadmills, etc and even a small store with supplies and basic snack food items. Downtown Round Rock is just around the corner. All employees had a very big smile and were very welcoming and helpful. Large shopping area is less than 1 mile away, just across highway.
"Beyond my expectations"

Arriving at this hotel, I was extremely tired. I'm a person who is definitely overworked and under payed. :) All I could think about was a good night sleep before hitting the clock again. Check in was fast and easy. The young man at the front desk ( I believe his name is Steve) already had me pre-checked in. A few signatures and I was headed to my room. The hallways were peaceful and clean and the first impression when walking in the room was the fresh smell. Great job housekeepers. The room was great and the amenities were more than I expected. I definitely received a great nights sleep.I stayed at the hotel for about a week and everytime I passed an employee they were smiling. I had a running toilet and the maintence guys came immediately and fixed it the GM was very apologetic even though it was more my fault than the hotels. To the GM Nikki, the sales person Daniel, the Housekeeping Department, and the front desk: Thank you for a well rested and satisfying week!!!!
"Exceeded my expectations in every aspect"

My husband & I just relocated to the area from Dallas,Tx & had the pleasure of staying a few nights at this location. He had been traveling back-and-forth until I was able to move down.He had been using Hotwire to book hotels (using the "surprise" option...not knowing the hotel name until booked, just the star rating) while in Round Rock.I was so happy when we got to the location!Super-friendly staff, awesome suites w/everything from Palmolive dish soap to in-suite DVD player to dishwasher detergent. They had everything you could possibly need or want already there! And if you did need any other items(from A-1 steak sauce to Zantac)they had them in the 'Candlewood Cupboard',toiletries & refrigerated items. Not to mention their great complimentary coffee/creamer station to take advantage of if you need to use the computer or just too lazy to make a pot in your room(of course also provided, but that is in nearly every hotel room these days!)Don't forget FREE laundry room where you can feel totally safe not 'babysitting' your clothes btw! And,finally,as if they knew we were coming,a pair of comfy ear plugs! My husband snores&grinds his teeth so loud it wakes me!This place rules!Other reviews mention hearing a train(I assume that is what the earplugs are for)but I never heard a sound even w/o the plugs.I hate that I have to check out today :( !!But thank you to Crystal & everybody else for a great home away from home experience & the popcorn in the microwave...I am telling you, this company really has it's customers in mind!

Spent two nights here in late July on a business trip. While not as nice as the HIExpress hotels, it worked fine. The room was a bit tired, but the bed was good, TV was good, and internet was very good. With a good location, it worked for me.

The road noise from IH 35 was bad enough but then add in the late night trains with horns blowing! I would suggest ear plugs as I only got 3 hrs of sleep. Hotel key issued at check in didn't work and had to go back to desk to get it activated. Non smoking hotel but halls smell of smoke. Room however was clean and no smoke smell.ed comfortable.
"A pleasant housekeeper at a nice hotel"
05/22/14 L S Roseville, California
I was very pleased and surprised by how clean this hotel was. I am very picky about cleanliness when I'm away from home and this hotel was very pleasing. I was even more surprised by the hospitality of the staff, specifically, a housekeeper named Rachel. Rachel brought us extra towels, took our excess trash and constantly asked us if we needed anything. All of this with a great smile and no attitude, we have stayed at many hotels and I have never been as pleased as I was during my stay at this Round Rock hotel. We will be visiting soon and I plan on staying at this hotel again, I sure hope Rachel is there, I will ask for her assistance specifically.
"If you need to spend several nights..."
05/06/14 Dale S Grand Prairie, Texas
I was attending training near by and decided to stay at this Candlewood Suites. The room was clean and comfortable and the front desk staff was efficient. The only down side is the train horns at 0 dark thirty (multiple times a night). The tracks are only a thousand yards or so south of the hotel. Most times there only seemed to be a couple of horn blasts but I'm convinced some engineers took great pleasure in seeing how long they could blast that horn just to make sure everyone was awake. I know the hotel can't control the horns but I'd suggest that unless you're a really sound sleeper ask for a room on the north side of the hotel.
