Mercure Kuta Bali - Bali

The only gripe I have with this hotel is that the staff is not very friendly. When I went to check-in, I had already booked 2 rooms. They said that they could not get the rooms next to each other. They led us to the first room that was near the lobby in the corner and then to the other room which was down the hall. We asked to switch the room near the […] lobby because it was a heavy traffic area that would be noisy. After asking did they give us a room right next to the other one we already booked. This tells me that they were too lazy, didn't care or wanted to give the room near the lobby to any schmuck who would take it. Either way that left a bitter taste in my mouth. However, this hotel literally across from the beach. From the 4th floor pool area, there is a beautiful view of the beach and sunset you can enjoy in their infinity pool. The best part of the hotel was the pool and rooftop area. This hotel is next to the Hard Rock Hotel and a 5 minute walk from the mall. The location is a heavily crowded tourist area but if you're a tourist why not? There are plenty of taxis and vans you can charter anywhere. Read more

I like this hotel. Its the 2nd time that I've stayed there. Staff are very nice and helpful. Only negative is that the staff were not helpful in getting a taxi at a fair price. Western tourists tend to be charged double and triple rates; you have to negotiate on your own but staff should assist you.

Although the Kuta Beach area is not the most pleasant to be in, but if you have to or want to experience it anyway then this hotel is a great stay for a mid budget. We enjoyed our stay here. The infinity pool is gorgeous and overlooks the beach. The beach is directly across the street (no hotels are directly on the beach in this area). Close to bars, shops, restaurants, etc. The bathroom felt a bit small but was manageable.

We arrived in the hotel at 2am on the Christmas morning. With three young kids, my wife and I were exhausted. The hotel manager is a nice guy. He greeted us and upgraded us to the upper level rooms since all standard rooms have been used. This gentleman really made difference for our vacation.

I booked a Superior Room which took me off ground level to the quieter 3rd floor. The rooms were slightly smaller than the Bali average, but were very clean and well decorated.Modern flat screen TV with easy AV access if you want to hook up a mini DVD player or the like. Rooms cleaned daily and to a high standard The location was very convienient, close to Poppies lane and a 5 min walk to Matahari. The only downside was that the pool side bar service was a bit lack lustre and i had to constantly hunt down bar staff when wanting a drink. Quite annoying when you want to relax and read a book with a cold one in hand. Great hotel without a very peaceful setting. A great place if you want a good price, great location hotel. During my time there were no drunk 20 somethings to be seen. Recommended for families or couples. Definitely would stay here again. Read more

We are regular visitors to Bali, and specifically Kuta. Our stay at Mercure was very comfortable. We upgraded ($40US/night) for a seaview balcony room and it was worth it. We love being right in the middle of Kuta, in walking distance from shops, resturants and across the road from the beach. So Mercure was perfect. Thanks Mercure!

Would not stay at the Mercure every again - the rooms were way too small and way too dark with no windows. The bathroom was also tiny, only one person could fit in there at any one time and you couldn't sit on the toilet as there wasn't enough leg room between the toilet and the vanity top. Cost of rooms too expensive, a small pile of laundry cost […] us $40 AUD, two cocktails and a coffee was $30 AUD - you live and learn. In addition, my ring was taken from my room - not impressed at all and nobody seemed to care that it had gone missing. Mercure is not as lush as it seems to be. The room is small and pricey. No doubt the location is spot on but the service is not up to par. Check in takes ages and the swimming pool closes at 7pm. I will not come back again to this hotel.

This was a overall nice hotel. The decor and rooms were all quite nice taken into consideration that it is not super expensive. A very nice rooftop pool with great views. It is however a bit on the noisy side. You can hear noise from the street in the rooms. And overall Kuta is not the best place to stay when in Bali.

フロントが混雑していてチェックイン・チェックアウトともに時間がかかります。フロントのスタッフも忙しそうにしていて、手元にかかってくる電話に出ながら仕事をしたり、舌打ちしたりしていて、がっかりしました。スタッフのホスピタリティはあまり期待できないです。部屋はオーシャンビューの2階の部屋に泊まりました。目の前の視界には電線があり、手入れがされていない建物の屋上？もあったり、とても楽しめるようなものではなかったです。コストパフォーマンスが良くないのであまりお勧めできません。

チェックインして、室内に入るとすぐに目に付いたのが、床にゴキブリの死骸がありました。　インドネシアのホテルですからある程度は仕方ないと思いますが、本当のちゃんとしたホテルならそんなことはありえません。　フロントに注意すると、清掃係りを呼んで掃除をしてくれて、殺虫スプレーを置いていってくれました。　お詫びにWIFIを2日分無料にしてくれました。

Hotellet ligger centralt i Kuta och endast några meter från stranden. Det finns gott om shoppingmöjligheter, restauranger och tillgång till vattensporter precis i närheten. Hotellet är välskött med vänlig och hjälpsam personal. Frukostbuffén är stor och varierar från dag till dag. Poolområdet är trevligt med fantastiskt utsikt över havet. Vi fick en […] timmes gratis kroppsmassage vilket var väldigt trevligt. Det enda som finns att anmärka på är själva hotellrummet. Det var svängdörrar in till toaletten med en stor glipa mellan. Det gör att det blir väldigt lyhört och det är inte direkt en känsla av att få en stund för sig själv. Även dörren ut till balkongen glipade. Detta var ett problem framförallt då hotellets parkering låg nedanför vår balkong och man tidigt på morgonen hörde när trafiken kom igång. Lufkonditioneringen var också väldigt högljudd i jämförelse med andra hotell vi bott på. Read more
