I'm usually reluctant to stay directly in the Main Train Station are of Munich when I visit, just because it is a bit noisier and less pleasant than a number of other areas in the city, but I must say that I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff at the reception was friendly and helpful, and the room was quite comfortable. I appreciated the complimentary […] bottled water in the room and the comfortable bed. The pool and spa areas were very nice and I was able to get in a few decent swims. It seemed to me the hallways smelled a bit of smoke or some such, but not too bad and the room itself was fine. I did, however, miss complimentary WiFi in the room, but it was at least freely available for guests in the lobby. The breakfast was not included and seemed rather expensive, but nonetheless was very nice. I would certainly be happy to return here again. Read more

the hotel is located close to the center, but the surrounding area, is packed with cheap restaurants, drunks, smokers, thieves and it is not a place for families. Not 5 star hotel.

We booked 2 adjoining rooms, and both had hairs in the tub, they charged me 60 euros for an additional bed and extremely high internet connection fees. The hotel was Ok and the staff semi friendly, the price was right.

We met our adult children and their husbands for Christmas in Munich. The hotel was the perfect location. The small suite gave us a small living room area for our family gatherings, and opening presents on Christmas morning. The other rooms were comfortable with lots of light. Located across from the Haptbahnhof gave us easy access to transportation […] around the city as well as to/from the airport. And unexpectedly, access to a variety of food and other services, since most were closed on Christmas eve through the 26th. Finally, the hotel is located only a few blocks from the large Christmas Market - a must see during the holidays. Hotel staff were very helpful in making brunch and dinner reservations, finding a couple restaurants that we would not have found on our own. All in all, the hotel was a great match to our particular family vacation. Read more

Wonderful hotel. It is across the street from the train station and very convenient both to downtown and to the Oktoberfest grounds. The staff were universally helpful and extremely attentive. Clean and modern room with nice view of courtyard. Ethernet port in room never worked and wifi barely worked in room during my week stay. Hotel was full and breakfast wait was excessive with the same problem at night in the small bar. Had breakfast Buffett voucher and hotel refused to honor it. We loved Munich a lively fun city with friendly people and lots to see and do. The Meridian has the same feel. There are better choices in Munich. The lobby is cold and uninviting, the bar is a hideous color, and was also not inviting. The rooms are fine and most of the staff seems to try very hard. Great location, across from the train station so it saves time to get on the train. It is very close to the Gray Line tour bus pick up point. Room is larger than most European hotels. Good for family or business travel. The only drawback is the location. The street is not nice part of the city. But it is safe to walk even at night.

The hotel is very sleek and modern. Rooms large. Bathrooms superb. The location to the Munich main bahnhof is great - as it is just across the street. For the main tourist areas of Munich, however, it is a long walk, short taxi, or short metro ride.

The location of the hotel is excellent as the train station is across the street for access to the train subway to allow for easy access anywhere. The concierge at the hotel was a great help with tons of suggestions and tips. The only disappointments were the late night room service options and the lack of free internet at the hotel. The concierge was able to offer the tickets for the tour groups so your place was reserved and able to be paid for in advance so you did not have to worry about a spot on the tour or the extra cash to pay upon entry. Located right in front of Munich Central Train Station, this convenience proves invaluable to business and tourist travelers. Marienplatz and other Munich landmarks are just a 5 minutes walk away. This hotel was lovely. The rooms were huge, fantastic furnishings, big bathrooms with all the comforts you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. The lobby, bar, breakfast restaurant - all very nice. While the neighborhood doesn't look like much, don't be so quick to discount it - it is right across the street from the main entrance of Munich's central train […] station. And a major subway station. And about a 10 minute walk straight up to Marianplatz which is where all the touristy stuff happens. Sure, you have to get away from the train station neighborhood to find fabulous restaurants and shopping, but if you want to get all over Munich and stay someplace both centrally located and fantastically comfortable - this is a great hotel to choose. It was a great experience staying in Le Meridien Munich last Christmas. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are lovely and the location is just at 2 steps of the U-bahn (Train and metro station) where you can connect to any place you want. It's also at a walking distance to the main two touristic places: Marienplatz and Karlplatz.

Nice, modern hotel with plenty of amenities. Wish there was free WiFi in the rooms, in stead of having to pay to use the internet in the lobby. It's a bit of a walk to Marienplatz, but nice and close to the train station, which was handy. I'd definitely stay here again.

Hotel was great. We booked a non-smoking room, and the registration staff placed us in a smoking room, after telling us that it was a non-smoking room. They promptly corrected their mistake in a very professional manner. The hotel is very close to the train station (and all that comes with being close to a European train station), which may turn some […] people off, however the great pedestrian areas are only a few blocks away, and we never felt un-safe. Did not go to the in-hotel restaurant. We stayed over Christmas, and they were running a special menu, and it was rather expensive (EUR 60(+) per person). However, there were many people there, so it could be very good... I just can't comment on it. Only gave a 4 overall, because our first room (the smoking room) seemed a little worn in.. but just a little, and likely is in great shape for a smoking room. However, the non-smoking room was very very nice. Just something to keep in mind when booking this hotel, I suppose. Read more

Go out right side of the train station and you will see the hotel on your right side of street. Staff is helpful and courteous all except the IT Computer tech who would not come to the room to make my computer work. Since we were […] there on weekend, only electrician was available and he could not connect my computer. we waited till the day tech worked but he refused to come up and fix and told me to call the help service number which nobody pick up. I would never go back to this hotel but if you don't need to work on the computer it is good hotel to stay. Bus tours are great, do not take private tours they are very pricy. Romantic Road to Rottenbur is great day trip and take bus tour to the castles in Bavaria. Buses are very comfortable and tour guide gives great info. Tour buses are one block away from hotel. I stayed here for three days and really enjoyed mysef. I used the beautiful spa and the internal garden. The only complaint I had, was the room did not feel quite a 5 star and there was not free interet. They did offer purchase internet but it was very expensive.
