Nice lobby and connected to Brennans Bourbon House restaurant and bar, which is convenient. Our AC was not working properly the first night, but maintenance was there immediately to fix it. Nice location, McD's is a couple of doors down, and plenty of eating spots nearby. And, not 1, but 2 Walgreens and a CVS right across the street. Canal Street can […] be a little sketchy with vagrants, but for the most part non-threatening. Valet parking can take 20-45 minutes to get a car out. And longer if everyone is trying to leave at once. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"close to french quarter"
great, enjoyed touring new Orleans and the surrounding areaGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel met all our needs. Being on the corner of Canal and Bourbon Street it was convenient for visiting the French Quarter and the restaurants we liked. The trolly station was across from the hotel which we frequently used to go to any place we wanted to go. The room was spotless and the personnel in the entire hotel was both friendly and efficient. We […] will certainly use this hotel if we visit New Orleans again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Location, location, location!!!"
From the bellman, maid to the front desk and concierge, outstanding, special thanks to Damalia at the reception welcoming with a great genuine smile, and Federico woth such a great patience to attend last minute changes in plans, thank you thank you, will not stay anywhere else. Great view of Borboun street balcony.Genuine Expedia guest review

Nice employees. Can't beat the price combined with a great location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel right on the French Quarter"
In each room there is a gift. Ear plugs. I understand why. I was on the 3rd floor facing the quarter and it was a little noisy but overall a very pleasant stay. I did not use the ear plugs - didn't really need them.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location but has some issues"
This is the second time I have stayed at this location, and this time was less than impressive. I had remembered a much nicer hotel. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, but the curtain liner had many holes allowing spots of light to enter the room almost like a disco ball. The bathroom was rather dark and the cover behind the shower head was […] not secured. My experience with the majority of the staff was that they were more interested in speaking to themselves than helping guests. There is an equally priced, much nicer alternative just down the street where I will be staying in the future. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice hotel in the center of everything"
great stay...clean...comfortable...& close to everything you'll want to see during your stay in New OrleansGenuine Expedia guest review
Overall satisfied with hotel. the room and bathroom could have been cleaner. The bathroom tub need replacement a bit dated. If I ever comeback to New Orleans I would not mind staying in this hotel again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location right off Bourbon Street"
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The hotel restaurant serves excellent food in the Brennan family tradition. Step out the front door, take a right, and you're on Bourbon Street. What's not to love?Genuine Expedia guest review
"Won't be back"
This was my second trip in two months. The first trip was amazing room was nice away from elevator and quiet. This trip took 40 minutes to check in, no one seemed to know what they were doing besides on lady. Then when I did get my room it was near elevators so I heard every drunk all night I slept horribleGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Every thing was great. It would have been even better had there been mini refrigerators in the room. It took 45 minutes to get car from Valet parking on day of departure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Bourban St"
The toilet clogged twice. The shower head was busted and spayed everywhere. We could hear mice in the wall, squeking and moving around. The thermostat was motion controlled so once you went to bed it would get hot. We had to keep getting up and waving our arms just to make it kick on. Not impressed at all. Would suggest trying another hotel!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable, great staff, and great rooms"
I am definitely coming back to stay. I was greeted by a pleasant front desk, the valet was helpful and informative, the bellman was very helpful, pleasant, and informative. Everyone was pleasant made me feel comfortable. I couldn't ask for a better stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very Nice Hotel in great location"
We always stay at the Crowne Plaza when we stay in New Orleans. The location is close to everything we want to do, like the Superdome, the New Orleans Arena, the French Quarters, the River Walk, shopping on Canal Street, partying on Bourbon Street. Most of these places are in walking distance from the hotel, but you can always get a cab here, too.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Place to Stay"
My friends and I were in town for a bachelor party. The hotel itself, the rooms, and the location were excellent! Literally at the end of Bourbon St. and in walking distance from the river, Casino, and other local attritions, including great food joints. The staff was courteous and friendly and the room was clean.... what else could you ask for!?! I […] would definitely recommend this hotel! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great service and great hot breakfast...with eggs and bacon to boot!Genuine Expedia guest review
Each time I visit the French Quarter, I stay in this hotel. It is perfectly located - walking distance to everything. The staff were very helpful and prompt at taking care of any requests we had.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice location close to everything, but the room could have had a facelift. There were holes in the walls, and the sink was broken. Staff was nice and pleasant, and it was easy to get around from the hotel, with the cable cars being so close by.Genuine Expedia guest review
"You can put lipstick on a pig, and its still a pig"
This was the second time we stayed at the Crown. We mainly stayed due to the location. The last time the room was not too bad. This time it was terrible. They use a motion senson to keep the A/C on so when you leave and come back the room is hot. Couldnt figure out how to keep the A/C on at night when you sleep. Complained to the front desk and they […] had the maintainence guy deactivate it. The room smelled bad and had to get the linens changed because they looked like they hadnt been changed. The hair dryer was broken had to get it fixed. The iron didnt work, water leaked out all over the clothes. Ants in the room, not sure where they came from and finally apparently they do not vacuum the floor everyday because I found pieces of glass around the beds. I will not give them a third chance at staying there. Plus as much as we were paying for the room you would think you would receive free parking but parking cost me $32 a day, and thats outrageous. Its like the old saying, "you can put lipstick on a pig, and its still a pig". Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"close to bourbon street"
We could only use half the hotel due to the fact that it had been rented out to a swingers convention. We felt very uncomfortable any time we entered the lobby. We were not told of the hotel having limited access until we checked in.Genuine Expedia guest review
When we arrived, we were told we could not use the gym, bar, or pool areas because a large Social Group had reserved the majority of the hotel. The "Social" group turned out to be a swingers club, so my husband and I had to deal with constantly being hit on in the very few areas of the hotel we were allowed in. I like the hotel and staff, I just wish […] I would have been told before arrival date. We were told we could go next door to use another hotels pool. This was a huge inconvenience, especially during July! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect hotel for a fun vacation to Bourbon street"
Everything was perfect except our first room smelled like someone had just finished a cigar inside. The front desk was very apologetic and not only switched our room, but included free breakfast for both of us. The staff made this one of my better trips to New Orleans.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a nightmare loading and unloading our luggage from our van. There really should be a seperate lane under a big canopy/port for cars staying at the hotel, rather than just sharing the street with other cars just driving by.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Swingers Convention Alert!"
Was travelling to NO for vacation with my 3 kids--ages 21, 17, & 13. Knowing how hot NO is in the summer, a pool was a must. I tried to call the hotel the weekend before to make sure that the pool would be available. I was unable to make contact with anyone at the hotel. Upon arrival, we were told that they were very busy that weekend. We arrived late […] and was immediately given a letter saying that a very large Social Group had contracted the entire main tower of the hotel for the entire time that we were visiting NO. Only their attendees were allowed into this area which included the fitness area and the pool. We found out that the very large group was a swinger's club. Not exactly who I wanted my children to be around. The hotel said we could walk down Bourbon Street a block and turn right on Iberville Street to use another hotels pool. Not very convenient and certainly not what I wanted to walk through in bathing suits with my girls. The management offered to let us have snacks for breakfast and a drink and light hors d'oeuvres for the remaining 2 nights of our trip. We had swingers eating with us. I returned to complain that was not going to cut it and they did give us free parking as well. If you are looking to stay at this hotel, I would definitely call ahead of time to figure out if there is a convention, who are the conventioneers (if that would matter to you) as well as if you are able to use the pool and fitness areas. I will not be staying at this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"All the essentials for a comfortable stay."
Our room was quiet, cool, and had very comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom water pressure was good for washing and rinsing hair and the shower/tub and sink drained well. Our room was in the older part of the hotel, on the fourth floor, but was convenient to the elevator and front lobby. We never had to wait for an elevator. We could whisk in […] and out of our room to the street in 30 seconds. Our room was cleaned well before noon each day and the housekeepers did a good job. The staff was very polite and efficient. At first, we were a little dismayed that our room was in a part of the hotel that had not been updated very recently, although it was clean and attractive. The desk clerk told us that a convention had booked the entire tower with the more recently updated rooms. However, it was an ok tradeoff considering that our stay was otherwise very comfortable. We did receive a letter in our room from hotel management stating that we would have to use the pool and gym at a neighboring hotel due to the convention in our hotel, but we did not intend to use those facilities, anyway. The safe in our room did not appear to be in working order when we arrived. We called the front desk and they were to send someone to look at it. We ended up leaving the room after a few minutes. The safe was never fixed and there was never any further mention of the safe or the outcome of any inspection by the hotel staff. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Very friendly staff, great location. Breakfast at bourbon house was not that good. Rooms were clean. Very nice hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel itself was great however had to park 3 blocks away self park, pay more than the posted rate, catch a ride back to the area of the hotel, be dropped off and run back to my hotel. Not a great way to start off after a 8 hour drive in.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
As an avid traveler I have an expectation of updated rooms, excellent customer service and cleanliness at the minimum. I was disappointed with the CROWN PLAZA as supposed peers to the Ritz Carlton and Wardolf Astoria (which I have stayed frequently) this place was indeed subpar. From the artificial flowers in the lobby to the non-ipod compatible radio. […] During my stay the the water stopped working in the room and, we had to call two days in a row for cleaning services. I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel at the end of Bourbon Street"
In spite of being located on Bourbon Street, our tenth floor room was very quiet. It was easy walking distance of Jackson Square and only a few blocks from the Streetcar to the Garden District. Excellent place to stay, had to switch rooms because my original room because the air condition did not work. But I was moved right away and given 4th floor access to the executive club for the inconvenience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location. Thin walls."
The hotel is located just off Bourbon St where all the night time action is. It is also centrally located to other site seeing attractions such as the farmers market, Mississippi River cruises, and the WWII museum. Everything is a close to modest walking distance as well. The hotel was very clean and attached restaraunt was outstanding. Many famillies […] with small children were also there. My only complaint was the noise. I am unsure if this was because of my room's location to the elevators or the side of the hotel which my hotel was located, but you could hear machinery noise clearly all night. The hotel provided complimentary ear plugs on the nightstand which should have been a good indication that it was a regular issue. I would try it one more time to see if I could get a quiet room. Otherwise, stay somewhere else. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location... But..."
I definitely wished I would have read the fine print a lil more concerning the PARKING!! I just assumed there would be hotel parking, but there is not. We drove around a bit but ended up just using the $30+ a day valet that they offer. I was excited about the rooftop pool thinking it would offer a nice view of the city... It's on the 3rd floor, and […] while it is on the roof, there is definitely no view. Overall, the location was awesome... Which is important in New Orleans. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overlooked Bourbon St...great location!"
Extremely polite staff, very courteous. 24hr room service was a plus.Genuine Expedia guest review
It's a good hotel, in a good location. For the price and the area it's on average. Fairly crowded place, with tons of people in a lobby. Trinkets for sale in the lobby give it an even lower feel. Restaurant downstairs is below average for food quality, with a very nice interior.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel conveniently located within walking distance of many activities in the French Quarter.Genuine Expedia guest review

We had ask for a king size bed but was given 2 doubles with view of Canal street. The room was very small. No fridge or microwave. The complimentary late check out at 2 pm was great. Check out was a breeze.
