Our room was like a cell, so small. The shower is tiny, no bath. We could hear every person come up the stairs and walking by the room. The concierge was clueless and lazy. $58 for parking for 2 nights, though this is not atypical of the area. Our room view was of concrete and other guest room windows. Not very private. The hotel is very close to union square, shopping, restaurants and the historic cable car route which was very nice. Also we had a lot of fun in the Fusion Lounge conveniently located downstairs from the hotel. Though pricey, as all clubs tend to be.

We ran to the pier, rode bikes around and was perfect location for all that. The room was very small, and even though we were a couple floors up from the night club downstairs you could still hear and feel it. SO I would ask for something on the top floor. Great location: only a block from Powell BART Station, and only a few blocks from Union Square (though just a few blocks west the neigbhorhood gets seedy.) Modest price compared to the mega-hotels nearby. The hotel feels safe, with door attendant at all hours. Room is small but well organized and very comfortable, with comfortable bed, plenty of storage space, and a clean new bathroom with lots of hot water. No noise penetration from adjacent rooms. Housekeeping is good and responsive to scheduling requests. No air-conditioning, if that matters to you, but ceiling fan is quiet and effective. Internet service is fast and reliable, though no wifi in rooms (front desk will lend a cable if needed.)

This hotel exceeded our expectations as far as the price, location and service go. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had found that the refrigerator and safe were missing from our room upon check-in, so i went down to see if they would be able to send them up to our room. They told me that I could switch rooms and gave me a room to check out to see if I liked the room. When I saw the room, it was larger than the original so we did the switch with help from the staff. They also were very nice when I found that I had locked my key cards in my room and gave me an additional key with no hassle at all. The valet was prompt and very friendly as well. The location of the hotel is very close to the Union Square shopping district and right across the street from a great record store, Rasputans, which I had wanted to go to while in SF. The club below the hotel, Infusion Lounge, was very nice as far as the layout, decor, and music go. We went down to it one of the nights we were there and had a good time. The front desk provided us with a card that allowed us to get in without waiting in line (which would have detoured us from going to the club due to a very long line/wait to get in otherwise) as well as a discounted cover charge. The only down sides to our visit to this hotel was the fact that there was not air conditioning in the rooms, which was ok for me but my wife likes it to be quite cool in the room. It was not hot in our room at all but she would have liked to have AC in the room. Also, the newly remodeled rooms, while nicely decorated, were on the small side. This was fine though because we did not spend that much time in our room anyways. All-in-all we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit San Francisco and wanting to be in a great location at a reasonable price.

Room was clean and comfortable, nice bathroom, and had a ceiling fan! Free internet is a must which they did have however there was no wifi. Got a free cable from the desk. Only complaint was that the jack was behind the bed and cable wasn't long enough to get to the desk so working a bit from the bed gets uncomfortable. Nice and quick little breakfast in the morning was available. Best thing was location. Super-close to the cable car and Powell St BART which makes is really easy to get to from the airport. Coffee and fridge in room, A/C worked well. Room clean, no view, but this made it quiet as SF is 24hrs noise. However, walls are thin and our head board was thru the wall from the WC next door, and what a noise! Hard wired internet and multi channel tv, with all day HBO. Complained about the safe and the shower head and they were fixed instantly. Breakfast is toast, bagels and muffins, with coffee, tea and juice. Quite good, but be early! I was really excited about the Fusion Hotel. It was a great price and in a great location. After checking-in and getting a bite to eat, I was surprised the flat screen TV in my room didn't work. Immediately I contacted the front desk and immediately someone came to look at the TV. I was very upset that I was told that I could switch rooms OR maintenance could fix the TV the following day. I went to sleep that night early and listening to the beat of the music from the Infusion Lounge that was underneath my room. They need to work on soundproofing the club a little better. As I was only staying 2 nights I didn't see the point of having the TV fixed or switching rooms as my first night was going to be my only night in the hotel. The following day I went to get the continental breakfast. It was the worse breakfast I ever had at a hotel. There was this small room with like 2 toasters, juice machine, coffee machine and plain bagels, bowl of oranges and mini muffins. There was no dining area, I was forced to take my plain bagel and orange juice back to my room and eat in silence as I had no TV. Some continental breakfast that was! I did love the Infusion Lounge that is located downstairs. My overall rating was a 2 because my TV didn't work, I didn't like the continental breakfast and I could hear the club at night when I went to sleep. I would only recommend this club for very short stays, I wouldn't want to stay more than 2 days there personally.

Simple breakfast (oranges, bagels w/cream cheese, toast, coffee, juices). Okay for a few days. Price can't be beat for the money. Breakfast & internet were included. Although the room was small (which is not a surprise for the price at the location), it had everything one would expect from a high-end hotel. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and all the amenities were in place (except for a pool). In addition, the hotel locates in the heart of downtown San Francisco with easy access to all sorts of public transportation available in the city (including the Bart and the trolley). Cons: 1. No wi-fi service in rooms and you have to use cable (I borrowed it from the front desk). 2. The hotel said they were working on the breakfast service, but the one they had was really inadequate (as of June 2009). They were using a tiny room to serve the most basic breakfast (no eggs or sausages though) without space for tables. The room, which is the size of a utility room, was packed in the morning and there was little you really want to have in the limited menu. Also, they didn't have half-and-half or milk and provided powder coffee creamer, forcing me to walk out to get coffee (plenty of starbucks and diners nearby). I stayed for three nights and, overall, I would say I was happy with the bargain and would stay there again.
