Very nice room for the price we paid. Room was spacious and kitchennette is a plus! Close to all major places that we wanted to go: 5th avenue, Juarez avenue, Walmart, ADO station, colectivo station, good restaurants. Had a great time!

We spent 6 nights in this hotel in their royal club section. Overall it was a positive experience. The hotel personel was friendly and helpful. On the other hand, the management of the hotel should pay more attention for small details. For example, addition of Wi-Fi serveice would be a nice touch.

Gran Bahia Principe Tulum All Inclusive sits on a private beach in Akumal, within easy reach of Xcacel Beach, Akumal Beach, and Xcacel-Xcacelito Sanctuary. Other attractions in the area include Xel-Ha Water Park and Half Moon Bay.

La Isla - Located in the main pool, this bar is both poolside and swim-up; open from mid-morning until the dinner period.
Lobby Bar Akumal - Open from mid-morning until late night, this bar features live music nightly, all-day coffee service, and self-serve flavored tequila.
Amphiteatro Broadway - Inside the amphitheater, this bar is open during the evening entertainment shows.
Las Caracolas - This small beach bar is near the smaller pool.

The sea is popular for on-site sports including windsurfing and sailing, offered as part of the activity schedule. But because the sea in front of this resort has a coral and rock bottom, guests swim in the water off the sister resort, Gran Bahía Príncipe Akumal, or in the two pools. The larger pool area is the site of games and contests during the day. Other popular activities are tennis, volleyball, and bicycling. Bicycles incur a charge only if used off the resort grounds, for example, on the three-km (two-mile) track that winds through the surrounding jungle. Guests can also relax and sunbathe in the private white-sand beach, directly accessible from the property.
The Riviera Maya Golf Club has been designed by Robert Trend Jones II. It is divided in two golf courses: the first has 18 executive holes with par 72, and the second has 9 executive holes with par 27. Use of golf courses is surcharged.

Snorkeling and diving are popular in the small resort town of Akumal, and at Kantenah beach to the north, where the coastline runs parallel to a protected coral reef. In the summer months, sea turtles crawl onto the white-sand beaches by moonlight to lay their eggs. Yal-Ku Lagoon, once a trading route for the ancient Maya, is a bird watcher’s paradise, and can be explored by foot or kayak.

"Beautiful Scenery of the Gran Bahia Principe"
During our stay in this hotel , we recieved wonderful services from very polite and well educated staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel itself had extremely beautiful scenery and a family-oriented atmosphere. There was quick and convienent access not only to many great restaurants, but also to the beach, and to many amusement parks […] and historical sites nearby, so the transportation to each was quick. Muy muy recomendable el hotel, la atencion del personal es insuperable, la belleza de la playa natural, en general todas las atenciones. El delfinario adentro del hotel es genial. Y sobre todo la honestidad del personal es muy sobresaliente. Los felicito ampliamente.
"Hotel Gran Bahia Principe Tulum"
L'hotel est très bien situé juste à coté des ruines de Tulum. L'hotel est très grand car il comprend trois hotels Tulum, Coba et Akumal. Nous étions à Tulum et pour nous il s'agissait du meilleur des trois. C'est le plus grand donc pas d'attente pour aller manger au buffet et il est au bord des plages. Les chambres sont grandes, les lits sont confortables […] et le personnel est vraiment sympa. Nous avons passé un séjour super et formidable dans cet hotel. En ce qui concerne le temps au mois de juillet, la météo annoncait de la pluie tous les jours mais il y avait de petites averses et c'était très rares 3jours avec des averses sur 20jours. Read more
