A short guide to Le Cannet
Le Cannet is a picturesque and much-visited suburb on the northern outskirts of Cannes. Once a separate community, the families who lived here originally were brought from Liguria in the 15th century to tend citrus plantations after an outbreak of plague. Orange trees and a mural commemorate these workers on Place Bellevue. The little 15th-century chapel of St Sauveur has lavish decorations by the modern artist Tobiasse.

"Great hotel for the money we paid"

The hotel staff was very friendly and also very, very helpful. If you want a hotel on the beach, this is not it. However, for the price, it was worth it. The local bus stops right outside and the walk to the Croisette was do-able even for two old folks like us.

The staff was very polite, friendly and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The bathroom showers are ok and the soaps are verrrrry small, but the rest of the room was very nice, modernly attractive, comfortable and clean.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Cannes, mais cet hotel se trouve loin des plages et de la vie nocturne à Cannes. Un peu cher pour la qualité du confort des chambres (literie, disposition des meubles, nuisance sonore et vue)....Point positif: grande baignoire, cuisine même si toute petite)
