in general was a good stay. Not as good as I expected. The receptionist was terrible BAD! You can not ask for information to her, it seems is an insult for she as her everyday responses were unacceptable, voice raised, and disgusting. She may need vacations I guess!! Beds were not good, looks more like sleeping over some balls or sand packages. Food Selfservice is good and location is good, not the best of course...

First night front desk give us smoking room without asking. The entire 2nd floor smell and we could not sleep all night, we change the room next morning on 5th floor, tub and sink was clogged that should be checked before renting it to the guest. Front desk clerk were not friendly. Will never go to that place again.

awful. the hotel is 1 mile away from the subway station. don't even attempt to walk from the hotel to the subway station because their is no residents in the neighborhood and if you get mugged, nobody will help you. the hotel is old and your next door neighbors live 10 feet below the ground. really across the street from the hotel is a cemetery. and the place is scary because the cemetery is not well maintained as well..

the room size is huge but the bathroom is ridiculously small. The hall ways smelled very bad. The rugs where very dirty and so old that the were worn out. Not the level of hotel associated with the Best Western brand. The city view was the immediate view of a local cemetery. Very displeased on the hotel for the price paid. Should be half the cost.

Its a reasonable price for a ok hotel room. Nothing fancy. The Long island city location is alittle inconvenient if you like to be close to Manhattan. It takes about 35 minutes by subway with a few connections. Everything went well and we got the accommodations that we requested. This isn't always the case.

This hotel is ok for one night stay. It looks and feels worn out.The bed was so soft that it was like sleeping on a trampolin. It's quite a walk to the station, but ok. We chose this hotel because it was very affordable - and we knew that it was only a place to sleep for one night. Would not recommend it for a longer stay.

Quiet, clean. Staff friendly and polite. Breakfast above average. Stayed on a Saturday night. Only awoken once by people entering their rooms on our floor, but they were inaudible once in their rooms. We did not use the free transport to train station. Cannot report if it leaves every thirty minutes, as promised.

Staff was nice enough but inadvertently misleading about frequency of shuttle service. Internet was slow. Lobby and elevator reeked of tobacco. Location on wrong side of LIE - about 3/4-mile from nearest subway so one is dependent upon shuttle. Cemetery across street is highlight of neighborhood. Room itself was very comfortable and view was nice. Clean at check-in but maid ignored my request to clean at 11, then wanted to clean after I returned at 3. Again, not on purpose, her English just wasn't very good.

Located at queens, near train station. But don´t worry, you don´t need to drive or walk to get there. The hotel will provide a free shuttle to and from the station from 6am to 10pm.. Even if you need the service after 10pm it will be just 10 dollars. Don´t expend money in a fancy hotel if you want to visit NY... You will expend only 6 or 7 hours sleeping in your room...

Nice and quiet stay. 10-15 minute walk from nearest train station, however there was a nearby bus stop and a free shuttle bus (last bus at 10:00pm). Didn't get to try the breakfast so cannot review the food. Lots of good eats that will deliver which was nice. I give it 3 stars only because ad said whirlpool and there was non in my room. :)

I was able to book a room online with a king sized bed. When I get to the front desk, the rude personnel could not find my reservation. When they finally found it, I was informed that they only had a room with a full sized bed. I was further informed that it was a "take it or leave it" deal. In addition, I had to pay the rate of a room with a king sized bed! Never again!!!

Wasn't in the room much, but it was bigger than expected and looked nice. It was clean and roomy. One thing though, the air conditioner didn't get cold and it was really hot at night ): It was also a long walk from the subway station. They offer a shuttle to/from the station, but it only runs until 10 pm.

I've stayed here once before a year ago and I liked the price, the cleanliness of the rooms and how close it is to the subway going to Manhattan. The hallways tend to have a hint of cigarette smoke, but the non-smoking rooms don't. The free car ride to and from the subway is a nice perk and the continental breakfast isn't too bad. The car service that the hotel uses has nothing but very friendly and courteous drivers. It has a bus route that runs right in front of it as well that you can easily take (in addition to a short walk) to get to the subway. Free WI-FI also.

I am in my early twenties, two years removed from college, and visited here with a buddy for the weekend to spend time in Manhattan. This hotel is a bit off the beaten track and is a 20-25 minute walk from the Purple Subway line that is only a 10-15 minute ride to get into Manhattan. The hotel advertised a shuttle to and from the line, but had strange restrictions - won't pick you up before you check in, won't drop you off after you check out, and limits you to one ride per day. I was at first worried about the safety of the location, but after talking with locals I felt better about the area. The rooms and bathroom were fairly clean, but not spotless or new by any means. All in all, for the price I saved money by not staying in Manhattan, but spent a lot of time traveling to and from the hotel. It was an okay stay, and I'd do it again with a buddy, but I'd probably spend the extra $50+ per night to stay closer to or in the city if I went with my girlfriend or someone like that. The neighborhood is a little bit scary and the hotel is across cemetery, you can also smell the cigarettes all over but the room is clean, the bed is very comfortable, there is breakfast in the morning with coffee and waffles. Overall- OK. It was our second time staying there because of the convenient location to Manhattan Ave in Brooklyn.

The hotel's location is very inconvenient, out on LIC, but to the hotel's credit they offer a car service to drop their guests off and pick them up later from the nearest subway station (approx half hour walk if you want to hoof it). The #7 train takes about 15 mins to Grand Central, so easy access to Manhattan. We found the day-time receptionist to be surly and unhelpful, but thankfully the night-shift replacement was always helpful and courteous. The hotel offers a breakfast of scrambled eggs, bagels, donuts etc within a short time-frame in a small dining area so it's always crowded and somewhat desperate. Our standard twin room was big and comfortable, which suited us as we had a lot of luggage and needed the extra space.

The hotel appears to be a very old school building and it showed on the inside of the hotel from the lobby to the rooms. Every electrical outlet was lose, rugs were very old and the furniture loked like 2nd hand furniture. While watching television, I was forced to view Payment Advisory notices claiming that the Dish Network bill was overdue and when I spoke with the front desk they advised me that there was nothing that the could do about it. I don't know but What About Pay the Bill?!?!?!? Hot water pressure was week. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I got the impression that the owners also lived in the hotel because a couple of the housekeepers were always seen talking outside of one of the rooms on the first floor with the family inside of the room. I wish I would have realized that I would have had the opportunity to post pictures because I sure would have uploaded a bunch.

We were very pleased with the room . It was spacious and clean. The fridge was very cold which was great. The room felt like we were at a Band B somewhere in the country. I booked the room my fiances bday. The fee was great however I was told i'da have a jetted tub the bathtub stopper didnt even work so no romantic bubble bath. No cable channels on the ancient big back television. just to get away it wasnt bad i would suggest going over every detail before u book.

There were many negative aspects of the hotel. It was location in an old industrial park in Queens. It is a 10-minute walk to the subway station which in day time its okay but at night it’s a different story with safety. The hotel front desk staff did not know how to do their job and rude and not consumer friendly. When my friend and I were checking in the lady was still on her cell phone while she was checking us in. They have a shuttle service operated by limo service company and I was only there for one night and we missed the shuttle by a few minutes that took you to the subway stop. My friend and I ran to the subway station since needed to be in the city at a certain time. When we need a ride back to the hotel the front desk lady told us the company would be there in 10 minutes. It was a very cold and windy night and the shuttle never showed up and we called 15 minutes later and asked where it was the lady at the hotel was no help and actually started to argue. There were many calls placed every 5 minutes to see where the shuttle was and many times they never picked up. 30 minutes after were supposed to be picked up the front desk picked up and we were told "we have no control over the limo service its the holidays” We ended up taking an expensive cab ride back to the hotel. The next morning we were told we would not be eligible for a cab ride back to hotel since we were checking out later that day. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC.

Horrible location for subway station. They advertize that there is a free shuttle to and from Subway station. First of all, it is not available if you don't sit and wait for 30 mins at least and then they won't drop you off after checking out, forget about pick up before you check in because in both circumstances you are not staying at the Hotel.

Their 4-individual occupancy room has two double beds that were kind of smallish to fit two adults + two kids. Other than that the hotel is good for the price. It is 10 minute drive from Manhatan which is very convenient.

Very old no maintenance lobby?dirty,restaurant for beakfast? horrible. The only thing I love were the people in the reception.Very helpful

) They lost the password to their Business Center, 2) Bathtub drain was broken and they wouldn't fix it, 3) my hair dryer was broken, 4) they don't have full sized pillows and the ones they have offer about as much support as a T-shirt, 5) They don't have comforters on the bed, just a single, extremely lightweight blanket-like thing, with a shawl spread over it for good measure. 6) Their elevator was calibrated wrong so it takes FOREVER and of course I was on the top floor. 7) They have no central air (or didn't turn it on) so I would be sweating by the time I got out of the building even when it was 59 degrees F outside! 8) They only have one elevator which is constantly being used by the maids with their carts, 9) Their free toothbrush was so flimsy the handle would bend 180 degrees when it was in my mouth. 10) Their free combs are too big for your pocket . 11) The maid won't touch anything without your leaving a note reading FOR MAID - that includes puddles of water in the bathroom and pillow cases on the floor. I honestly wondered if they even came some days even if I tipped them. 11) The light switch only turns on one little light and you have to go around and turn on about 4 other lights for the place not be dark. 12) If you call for a cab they will call the most expensive cab in town who will try to rip you off first thing (wanting $35 to go where others charge $20).

Good deal for the money stayed in one of the end rooms it was very spacious. My sister in law stayed in a room in the middle of the hotel and it was small. I was very pleased with my room!
