This was supposed to be a one night quick Key West get-away! The Inn was so nice and clean, and 2 blocks off Duval St., we HAD to stay another night! The staff was great!!!(they even matched Hotels.com's price for the 2nd night! The place was immaculate! The only thing I didn't like was that the pool was saltwater. I will stay he again!! I may even make more trips to Key West!!!

I hesitated in spending the extra money for this hotel but it was worth it from every angle. It was unbelievably close to Duval Street and Mallory Square...essentially everything you need. The hotel was beautiful, pool was immaculate, and the view of the harbor was stunning from our room. We ended up in a 2 bedroom and 3 bathroom townhouse model which would be perfect for a family or 2 couples on more of an extended stay. Everything was so comfortable and nice..wish we were there longer to have had the chance to use the full kitchen and grills by the pool!!

The biggest thing about Lighthouse Court is the location. You're across the street from Ernest Hemingway's house, literally. You're one block from Duval St. and it's easy to crawl back to your room on your hands and knees after a long night of drankin'. Secondly, the room was very well kept and clean. The pool area was nice and there is a convenient grill/bar poolside that will keep you quite full and imbibed. Other reviews complain about the noise and the fact that the rooms included earplugs on the nightstand. Don't be alarmed... the only noisy time is during the day because planes are taking off directly overhead. When we returned to our room at 3 am, it was quiet as a mouse in church. Lastly, the service was great. We arrived early and were soaking wet from wandering around in a four-day thunderstorm. The staff shuffled some things around and got us into the room immediately. The only negative I would mention is that since it is downtown, there is VERY limited parking. I would suggest getting there early and circling the block 150 times in order to find a street spot near the hotel. Well, one other potential negative... when we awoke in the morning we found a few small bugs crawling around in our bed. THEY WERE NOT BED BUGS. Maybe gnats. The only reason this is a "potential" negative is that I'm not entirely sure I didn't acquire them during my drunken debauchery the night before.

This Key West property is conveniently close to the airport, near Key West Art and Historical Society and East Martello Museum and Gallery. Also nearby are Smathers Beach and Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum.

"Bad room?"
I was a little leary to book here after reading some of the other reviews, however, they were all older and the newer reviews were quite positive. Maybe I just had a bad room, but I wont stay here again. I had a two bedroom, two bath condo. Wasnt top of the line, but suited what I needed for the weekend. However, starting on day one, started finding […] roaches...Some of the paint on the walls was rubbed off, where it looked as if furniture had once rubbed against it, and they reorganized without repainting. There was mold in the bathrooms. Very little dishes, and the kitchen was not very well equipped. It didnt even have a cookie sheet. If you're looking for a "cheap" place to stay with a kitchen, this does it. Maybe I just got a bad condo, but like I said, Im not going back there again. "SUNRISE SUITES"
6 miles away from the main street, close to the airport (some noise associated with this fact but nothing that could really keep you awake at night). Feels more like a condo than a hotel which gives you lots of privacy. Nearest restaurant is in the Double Tree hotel which is a walking distance; there is a little grocery store in the area but it is crazy […] overpriced and poorly stocked. "sunrise suites key west florida"
Dishwasher didn't work didn't need key to access room just push on door it opened. Too far from attractions. Paid as much in taxicabs and parking fees as I did in gas to get to keywest by car. Had nasty note put on door about laughter on our deck by a neighboring resident. Wouldn't recommend this location for money that was paid per night stay.

"Two couples - two nights - worked for us!"
I had read some iffy reviews on this property, but we were very happy with our condo. It was clean, roomy, had flatscreen TV's and attractive furnishings. It wasn't brand-new looking but it was clean and cheerful. Our unit backed up to the airport area (cannot see it due to folliage) but it was not even an issue really,,,occasional flight noise. Have made several trips to Key West and the Sunrise Suite was a very pleasant surprise. Very roomy, great space for the price and quiet. It is a few miles from Old Town, but we parked the car and stayed all day. Will definitely stay here when we return.

We were disappointed in the condition of the condo. All amenities were in poor condition. AC was not working when we arrived, but we worked it out. Sliding door to deck, very difficult to open. No dish soap, window cleaner, etc, available. Entire condo needs to be updated. A rather depressing place to stay.
Quiet neighborhood, nice pool. Inside the flats, the beds were OK, but the sofa was horrible, impossible to sleep. The flat was rented for 6 but it only had 4 chairs. To summerize, nice place to visit if you are 4, but definitly not recommended if you are 6. Far from downtown with limited bus service when you are not visiting during high season.

This was our first time staying in Key West and the Sunrise Suites Resorts was exactly what we THOUGHT we wanted. The complex is located in New Town by the airport on the far side of Key West. For the price we paid it was acceptable accommodations but not the greatest. We flew into Miami and drove down the Keys thinking the drive would be exceptionally […] beautiful. The drive was ok at best and sort of disappointing. The complex is ok considering we really didn't spend much time there but the biggest flaw in our plan was getting a rental car. There is really not much parking in Old Town so the car actually became a liability. We ended up renting bicycles which turned out to be a very efficient way to move around. BUT.... we were at least 2-3 miles from the Duval and Front street area. Not a horrible bike ride considering there are excellent bike paths all around town. Bicycles or scooters are the way the locals get around. So, we got what we paid for and have no complaints about Sunrise Suites. The staff was very friendly and the facilities were reasonable for the price. Maintenance wasn't perfect but overall it was acceptable. Next time we will fly directly into Key West, spend a little more on rooms closer to Old Town and not bother with a car at all. Bicycles, scooters, taxis, or pedicabs and even good old-fashioned walking will get you around with ease. It depends on what you want. Two bedrooms with two baths and a kitchen at a reasonable rate in a fairly quiet area near the airport(the commercial aircraft were not a noise problem but the small private planes were terribly loud) then by all means I would recommend the Sunrise Suites Resort. If you want to be closer to the activities on Duval Street and Mallory Square area then spend a little more on rooms in Old Town. Read more

My wife and I just returned from our 5th stay at the Sunrise. The staff are friendly and professional. The resorts grounds are well kept. The location is close to the airport but not a problem with noise. We love everything about the resort and look forward to coming back soon.

If you want to be away from EVERYTHING!! Than this is the place for you and be prepared to DRIVE EVERYWHERE! Nothing close but the airport!
"On a budget"
This is a GREAT place for the money !! Not the RITZ but not the RITZ price either. The lady at the check in desk was VERY VERY helpful, VERY pretty and suggested good places to eat & go. I would stay there again. These suites are located next to the DoubleTree Resort and so you can use their shuttle to get downtown.

"CAN USE SOME TENDER LOVING CARE."
The rooms were Ok. However the kitchen, the utensils, pots and pans were dirty and with clear grease stain on them. The bathroom had dirty bowl rings on them and a roach paid us a visit.

rates were reasonable,room very clean,staff very helpful , one small problem with shower head but maintence was there within minutes to fix it would have no issues of staying again and again
The Sunrise Suites Resort is good if you are looking for a cheap family vacation. It has the convenience of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, but the cleanliness leaves something to be desired of. Watched many planes take off from airport, kids loved it. Place was a little dated, but very spacious for the money. Pool was nice, having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was perfect. Only a couple miles from Duval street, but far enough away for peace and quiet. Would stay there again.

Large condo, but does not provide maid service during your stay. We were given just a few towels, had to beg for more. Very limited, not fancy soaps/shampoo. It was great! Two large bedrooms, with nice sized bathrooms,kitchen and living room inbetween. It was so nice. We liked the under our room parking, because it kept our car cool. We will dfinitely stay there again.

I would not really come back to this place you really don't see maintanance or housekeeping moving around and cleaning. There is no security or even anybody watching this place after hrs. People were jumping the fence to get into the pool after hrs and drinking and stuff. Very clean 2BR/2BA, nicely furnished. For being in the Keys and not having mold smells, we were delighted. Kitchen was well equipped and having a balcony was a plus. We were very happy with our hotel stay, the room was great. Location was fantastic, we were minutes from everything. Pool was a little too hot (temp wise) but we used it anyway. I would for sure stay at the hotel again.

The condo my family and I stayed in was gorgeous to look at and very cozy. That is until we found that they had a mild cockroach problem in the kitchen and bathroom. We had 6 people in our room and could barely get enough towels and never did get enough washcloths. The staff barely understood English so it was difficult to ask for anything.
