Hotel was not easy to find. Suit was nice had two good size bedrooms with own bathrooms. kitchen and Livingroom was nice too. Had a balcony with table and chairs. I was a little surprised that the hotel surroundings and inside our room was not nicer and more modern. I expected more for the money we paid. The fountain area needed to be cleaned, it is a very nice focal point, but couldn't enjoy it due to the dirtiness of it. It is nice to have a full kitchen with a full sized refrigerator. We loved the balcony. It was absolutely wonderful to have 2 full bathrooms! We enjoyed the local restaurants. A & B Lobster House is a divine dream to eat at, fantastic food. It's pricey and you probably want to dress a little nicer than casual but it's worth it! We will definitely recommend this hotel to others. We enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable. We had no security issues, no parking issues and the staff was helpful. Great place for my brother, his wife, myself and my wife. Nice well stocked full kitchen. The beds were good, pool was nice and the shop wasn't insanely over priced. Minimal amenities, doorknob hole in bedroom wall. Having to go to the office and sign for extra pool towels was a pain ( and you can't leave them in the room). This was my third trip to Key West and the first time we have stayed in something outside of a normal hotel. I have read several negative reviews of this hotel while booking and they almost turned me away to a different hotel. We had the view out the back facing the airport which was nice especially if you were to have little kids. At first we thought being so close to the airport was going to be a problem with noise but the hotel deadened the outside noise very well plus the plane jets always face the opposite direction. The only negative is its about 10 minutes from duval street but in my opinion its nice to be able to get away from all the craziness all the time. Although they said this was a non-smoking facility , guests smoking on the balcony in adjacent suites made the whole place smell like cigarette smoke. The place was not clean. There was a dried tortilla on our terrace. The stove top was broken. Location was fine and the size of the unit was good. It was just poorly maintained.

There was mold in the bathrooms. Very little dishes, and the kitchen was not very well equipped. It didnt even have a cookie sheet. We were 2 couples staying at this hotel. Our stay was very comfortable. Although the hotel rooms and furnishings looked outdated, the rooms were spotlessly clean, the beds were comfy, the showers were great, and the staff was extremely nice. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone interested in a super sleek and luxurious room because the furnishings look a little tired and outdated. 6 miles away from the main street, close to the airport (some noise associated with this fact but nothing that could really keep you awake at night). Feels more like a condo than a hotel which gives you lots of privacy. The TV's, Mattresses and linens were above average. Having an Ice Maker in te refer was a cut above. We had two couples and the Privacy your rooms offered with private baths for bothbedrooms was excellent. Dishwasher didn't work didn't need key to access room just push on door it opened. Too far from attractions. Paid as much in taxicabs and parking fees as I did in gas to get to keywest by car. I had read some iffy reviews on this property, but we were very happy with our condo. It was clean, roomy, had flatscreen TV's and attractive furnishings. It wasn't brand-new looking but it was clean and cheerful. Our unit backed up to the airport area (cannot see it due to folliage) but it was not even an issue really,,,occasional flight noise. We were disappointed in the condition of the condo. All amenities were in poor condition. AC was not working when we arrived, but we worked it out. Sliding door to deck, very difficult to open. No dish soap, window cleaner, etc, available. Entire condo needs to be updated. A rather depressing place to stay.

Quiet neighborhood, nice pool. Inside the flats, the beds were OK, but the sofa was horrible, impossible to sleep. The flat was rented for 6 but it only had 4 chairs. To summerize, nice place to visit if you are 4, but definitly not recommended if you are 6. Far from downtown with limited bus service when you are not visiting during high season.

This was our first time staying in Key West and the Sunrise Suites Resorts was exactly what we THOUGHT we wanted. The complex is located in New Town by the airport on the far side of Key West. For the price we paid it was acceptable accommodations but not the greatest. We flew into Miami and drove down the Keys thinking the drive would be exceptionally […] beautiful. The drive was ok at best and sort of disappointing. The complex is ok considering we really didn't spend much time there but the biggest flaw in our plan was getting a rental car. There is really not much parking in Old Town so the car actually became a liability. We ended up renting bicycles which turned out to be a very efficient way to move around. BUT.... we were at least 2-3 miles from the Duval and Front street area. Not a horrible bike ride considering there are excellent bike paths all around town. Bicycles or scooters are the way the locals get around. So, we got what we paid for and have no complaints about Sunrise Suites. The staff was very friendly and the facilities were reasonable for the price. Maintenance wasn't perfect but overall it was acceptable. Next time we will fly directly into Key West, spend a little more on rooms closer to Old Town and not bother with a car at all. Bicycles, scooters, taxis, or pedicabs and even good old-fashioned walking will get you around with ease. It depends on what you want. Two bedrooms with two baths and a kitchen at a reasonable rate in a fairly quiet area near the airport(the commercial aircraft were not a noise problem but the small private planes were terribly loud) then by all means I would recommend the Sunrise Suites Resort. If you want to be closer to the activities on Duval Street and Mallory Square area then spend a little more on rooms in Old Town. Read more

This was our first stay at Sunrise Suites. Our condo (406) had very good quality bedding in the king bedroom, and good bedding in the smaller queen bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped and trouble-free. Both bathrooms were basically fine; in the master bath, the towel bar had been damaged but worked fine, and the towel hook was very loose. Also, the […] bathtub stopper did not work, and the sink stopper had been removed and was under the sink. We had plenty of hot water and the towels were very thick and absorbent. Pool towels were available at the front desk. The pool was quite nice and the jacuzzi was great--both clean, at good temperatures, and we saw no one using them except us! The airport is literally a block away, but there was so little air traffic, and no big jets, so the sound was not bothersome at all. We also saw Navy air training early in the evening several nights, which was interesting. Parking was more than adequate, and coin laundry facilities were available on site. We would stay there again. My only "big" complaint was that the couch was cheaply made and provided NO support. It wasn't visibly worn/torn, but looked like cheap dorm furniture. The rest of the furnishings were dated, but in good condition. If I had two requests, it would be that the owners replace the sofa with something that will last, and also that they pay for HBO, at least on the flat screen TV in the living room (the bedrooms had smaller but adequate analog TVs).
