I asked for a NON-SMOKING room, and I got the complete opposite. When I was checking in I explained to the cashier what I had specifically asked for when reserving the room and she told me "I have not other rooms, all of them are booked. i asked the clerk to fix the phone in the room twice. they never did. the hotel was very ghetto. we reserved two rooms. they were far from each other. one was decent, the other was with people living there as apartments. very shady people. will never stay here again!

The smell in the rooms where quite bad possibly to the carpets or the fact that they let people smoke in the rooms and them try and sell you the room as a non smoking room I know this because they tried to hide the smell with such a strong deodorant that it was palatable, all in all very poor!!!!

I have stayed at Emerald Suites before and I like what it offers, however they had ROACHES and I called for but spray and they never came - I just bought my own and killed about 15 roaches during my stay. They need a towel rack by the bathroom sink, spatula in kitchen and extra blanket. The people at the front desk were very helpful and maintenance was pretty quick when needing extra towels. Hotel was worth the price. Would definitely recommend to friends and already have.

Although they advertise kitchens, I had very few pots and dishes. The front desk, initially said that they don't supply them any longer, but they did find them for me and I commented to as manager that most people would expect a few dishes with a kitchenette. They helped me out anyway.

I liked having a kitchenette but the room had a couch that was dirty and was very uncomfortable. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and they tried to cover the smell of cigarettes with a cheap air freshener!

The hotel is not one of the luxary hotels but for the price yo can't beat it. The staff was very friendly. The pool is nice but the beds are pretty hard and the pillows are flat so remember to bring your own pillows it will help otherwise it's nice.

After reading the reviews on the Emerald Suites my wife and I decided to take a chance on staying here. We did how ever call ahead to tell them that we would like a updated room based on the reviews we read. The room we received was a below average room . We only had to stay in Vegas for a night so we thought we'd save a little. But it's true what they say, you get what you pay for. We checked in at midnight and the air was off when we entered the room. We naturally turned the AC to full and went to bed within an hour. The bedroom never got cool because the AC unit was in the main room. There was a […] fan in the wall to bring air into the bedroom but DID NOT WORK! We let the front desk know but there was nothing they could do. We tried to sleep in the bedroom but it was like an oven. We resorted to sleeping on the floor of the main room. Was the worst place my family ever stayed at. The airconditioner did not work or the in room safe. There was no shower curtain when phoned the front desk, she told us just put towels on the floor. The toilet seat was not secured, The room smelled very bad. at check out she just said oh thats too bad you did not like your stay.

I was quite surprised to get a suite with a separate kitchen/living room for less than I normally pay for a plain room. There were some issues with burned out light bulbs, and the bathroom door hit the toilet when I closed it, but really I have no complaints about the room or the hotel. It was quite comfortable and well maintained.

I am writing this review because the previous reviews were instrumental in picking this hotel. Since they were very mixed I decided to stay for only 1 day - just to test it out and see it for myself. (We stayed at Alexis Park for the first couple of days) Ok so first the basics. The Emerald we stayed at was on Las Vegas Blvd. You definitely can not […] walk to the strip - you will need to drive or take a cab. I drove to Vegas so this wasn't a problem for me. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. We called to see if we could get an early check in and they were able to let us check in a couple hours early which was great. I have no complaints about the front desk. The room was on the second floor which was fine with me. They have plenty of parking all around the building so unloading the car was no problem. The room was just ok. For those who are wondering... yes it is a 1 bedroom suite with a full size kitchen and a separate bedroom with a door. It has full size fridge w freezer, sink, stove top, cabinets and a small table with chairs. I know they had plates and utensils but I didn't check how many since we didn't use them. I believe they also have a coffee maker and toaster. The living area has a couch - but it was not a sofa bed. That wasn't a problem for us since we took an inflatable mattress for the kids. There is also a small desk and a flat screen tv in the living room. The room is separated by a door- so there is privacy HOWEVER please keep in mind that the bathroom is in the bedroom area. So one half of room has living room, couch, desk, kitchen. The the other half (separated by the door) has the bed, another tv, closet, vanity area and bathroom. So anyone who needs to go to bathroom must enter the bedroom. The shower/toilet do have a door (ofcourse) and the vanity area is just outside the bathroom door which was great. PROS- 5 miles from strip, not busy neighborhood/streets surrounding hotel, full kitchen, big closets, good price, free wired internet, this is not a cheap mote, there are no roaches and all that crap, no broken AC or appliances either, if you need something just all up front desk. CONS, there was a hair on my pillow, the beds aren't comfy *you can […] feel the springs up your back), no elevators, the front desk people are pretty rude (they often have packs of cigarettes at the front desk and will go our for a smoke, not enough towels, depending on time of day it might be hard to find parking (no covered parking either!) Overall- I've stayed here 4 times in the 1 & 2 bedroom suites. I didn't need to call for maintenance and as long as the neighbors are quiet i'm fine. It's a good place to crash and cook your own food if you don't wanna go out. I hate that there's only stairs, but this isn't a luxury hotel. At least there's separate bedrooms and doors. I got this room to be closer to an event in town at which I planned to have a few drinks. The staff were exceptionally nice, the room met all expectations, and we even had coffee in the room. The price is good, the pool is nice, and if I ever need to be in the area overnight again, I will definitely be calling them first.

The beds are the most uncomfortable things you will ever sleep on. You can feel the individual coils through the mattress. they go in your room when you have a do not disturb sign just be aware when complain they expect u to be happy about out you are the one acting out of place. they are not organized you ask for something like towels and you you have a few different people bringing you them at different time of the day for the same request.
