"Nice place, good deal for the money"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We stayed here for the good rates, and were within a 5 minute walk to Doubletree and the other premier hotels and also the awesome Ale House (try the chicken twisters - yummi). The staff at the front desk were awesome, though the sales desk BS'd us by telling us that their tickets were the same cost as at the gate of Universal. Universal gate was cheaper. They also pushed for us to get a 2 day pass saying it takes 28 hours to get thru the two parks. Well we bought the 1 day pass and we were on and off ALL the rides in both parks by 3PM and were heading back to Island of adventure to ride some again. But if we bought the two day pass we would've been bored out of our mind. Granted we did go to Universal on a Tuesday and there were few people there. Also the sales desk told us it was a 15 minute walk. Me and my friends are in marathon shape, it still took us 30 minutes to get there. Lastly they told us that since we are staying in a hotel close to Universal we'd get in at 8, another lie, we arrived at 8:15 and we weren't allowed in until 9, only guests staying in Universal itself at the expensive premier hotels were allowed early entry. So in summation; I would recommend La Quinta but don't go buy your tickets from the liars at the sales desk for any parks. PS - our room smelled like someone smoked in it, it was mild so we didn't complain and the windows opened, that was nice.
"nice comfotable room with updated decor"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
I enjoyed my stay but did not get to eat breakfast because they ran out of a lot of items an hour before they stopped serving it.
"Close to Universal/priced OK"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This Days Inn is very old and could use a major overhaul. We had booked 2 nights and the first room was uncomfortable and dirty. Plus bugs. In the morning we requested another room and were immediately upgraded to a larger, cleaner, more comfortable room. Front desk was eager to help and maintenance staff also helped to fix a missing chair leg in the new room. Overall we probably would not recommend this Days Inn except for its location and price (be aware of the 'resort' fee added at check-in per day). This is no resort.

International Drive's largest claim to fame is the Universal Orlando Resort, home to two theme parks — Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios; the water park, Wet 'n Wild; and the entertainment area, CityWalk. The I-Ride trolley (really a bus) stops frequently along the street. At the north end of International Drive are two shopping meccas: Prime Outlets-Orlando and The Mall at Millenia.

"Horrible Hotel...really needs to be renovated"
This place is a DUMP!!! It had dead bugs in the room, Hot water that went out in the middle of the shower...at 6:00pm....very uncomfortable beds..We stayed in the suite the seperate rooms and it was rather small... absolutely NO hotel commodities...smelled as if old water was running through the walls...The "living room" TV went out due to a poor outlet […] in the wall...I would never stay here AGAIN!!!! I definitely would not recommend it to others...P.S. I asked for an ironing board on our first night..AND NEVER RECEIVED IT!!!! Read more

"Nice sized Studio Suite Hotel near everything"
I stayed here for the first time and it was very impressive. The size of the studio suite was very roomy. I love the small bacony they had that over looked the lake and rest of resort/I-Drive area. Would def would stay here again.

"Enclave hits the skids"
We were very disappointed to say the least. When we got there at 3:20, we were told our room would not be ready for an hour to an hour and a half. We were not given options for what to do in the meantime. I asked if we could use the pool and was told yes, that would be fine. I gave her my cell to let me know when it was ready. We got a call a few minutes […] later to offer us a different room. I said ok and got the keys. We went to the building and the room was on the first floor, next to the elevator and the only available entrance/exit to the parking lot. We saw why it was available, since no one would want to try and sleep next to the inevitable noise all night long. We declined the room and went to the pool. The security guard told us that only one pool was heated and the pool was freezing cold. When we went to check on the room, the manager rudely asked me what was wrong with the other room they offered us. She then told me that we would not be able to have the room we had paid for that would sleep my family of 5, that those were all full. We got it straightened out, but I was made to feel like I was the problem, not the guest who had to wait an hour and a half for my room. When I told her that it was a long wait, she said that was my choice since I had rejected the room. Our room was very run down, with tarnished fixtures in the bathroom, a bedroom lamp that didn't work. There was a sticker in our bed, so it obviously hadn't been cleaned properly. There were ants in one bathroom. We had breakfast tickets for our complimentary breakfast. We went down and saw a lackluster buffet inside the Pizza Hut. We went to get our dishes and turn in our tickets and were handed plastic sacks with vending machine items inside. We were told we would have to pay a few dollars more each for the sad looking buffet. When I said "Really?" the server laughed and said yes. Honey Nut cheerio bars, Sara Lee poundcake, packaged yellow cheese danishes and apple juice with foil tops wasn't wh Read more

"Enclave Hotel in Orlando, FL"
Positives: great location, free shuttle to main area attractions, front desk staff was polite, nice pool area. Negatives: fire alarm malfunctioned at 4:30am and had to evacuate, ants in bathroom, pillows and bed very uncomfortable. Not sure I would stay here again. Would rather pay more and upgrade to a nicer hotel. Hotels.com was GREAT to deal with […] and I will be sure to use them again! Read more
"Enclave Hotel"
Better than expected!!!
"The Enclave in Orlando - location is great."
The Enclave presents itself in grounds and outside of the buildings as a great place to stay. The 2 pools are really nice as is the nice pathways to walk and enjoy the outdoors. Our suite left a lot to be desired. The carpeting was filthy. Window treatment was tattered. The couch was sagging and probably could not be opened for sleeping. Our refrigerator […] still was full of the last guests food. most of it unwrapped or opened. Filled up the waste basket right away. I find more places going to maid service only every 3 days. We were informed that we would get none because we were only staying the 3 days. You can request towels or for them to clean the room. The 2nd day we did this and had them empty the trash. I love the location, but will seriously think about going back there. The whole suite gave the feeling of being in a motel I would pay $40.00 a night for. Read more
"A mixed experience"
The desk personnel were very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The hotel itself would be well-served by a major upgrade and remodel. My wife and I stayed here 24 years ago, and it was a lot nicer then obviously. One example of needing a remodel is the 1980's microwave in the kitchen that had a twist timer and rheostat signal strength dial - I haven't […] seen one of those in decades. The ceilings are very low in the hallways, and barely more in the room, and everything has a well used, worn look. The typical items of note were peeling or patched wallpaper, cracked and flaking paint, missing tile, etc. The price was reasonable, all that taken into account, so it serves more as a reminder of "you get what you pay for" than any devastating criticism of the hotel itself. We will simply never use this hotel again. Read more
"Close to everything we wanted to do and more"
Hotel room was too small even for 2 people we thought we would have a separate room we did not for the money some modifications should be made not enough TP shampoo, etc. Location was wonderful not a very good grab and go breakfast again for the price good stand to be upgraded
"Nice Hotel. 24hr Pool"
This hotel was beautiful. I went with a group of friends (6 of us) and we stayed in a two bedroom room. It is close to Orlando Studios. There is a complimentary shuttle that takes you there, but the last shuttle is at 10:25am. We missed it, but it was okay. The rooms and beds are comfortable and the kitchen is nice. It looks like it could be a lovely […] student apartment (if they were to turn it into one). My only problem with them was the "complimentary continental breakfast". It wasn't continental AT ALL!! They gave 6 people: two packs of pop tarts, 3 oranges & apples, 1 danish, 1 sponge cake, 2 cereal bars, and some coffee & tea. We were very unhappy about that. They offer a hot breakfast for like $5. Talk about horrible advertising. Other than that. It's really nice. Three buildings with plenty of rooms. All have outdoor pools. The indoor pool and sauna is 24hours. I would recommend as well as stay again. Read more

"Enclave Hotel & Suites Orlando by Sky Hotels"
we stayed here around the first part of march. We were greeted friendly upon arrival and given all our needed information. The pools were wonderful to play in. My only complaint is that there was no daily maid service and our bed was very uncomfortable and squeeked anytime you moved. The first day we got there there was the coffee packet in the room […] and I asked for more cause we were staying there three nights and I was told the first coffee packet is free and there is convience store if we wanted to buy coffee. The free breakfast was a sack with apple orange apple juice and a bagged pastry. The hot breakfast was additional fee which I was not told about that at booking. All in all the area was nice and location was great for our adventure. Read more
"Convenient but not classy"
It was nice having two bedrooms but the place was very outdated. All the appliances were VERY old and everytime the fridge compressor stopped, it was acompanied with two startlingly loud bangs. The shower light was burnt out and there was a large hole (+12") in the king room carpeting. The pool and the hottub were quite nice. The Pizza Hut in the convience […] court actually ran out of pizza cheese! Read more

"Enclave Suites-very disappointing"
Very disappointed when we pulled out sofa bed to find many blood stains. Maintenance brought another mattress from storage to put on top of blood stained one causing uncomfortable sleeping since bedding couldn't stay on all mattresses. (horrible solution). The four of us were only allowed 2 CUPS of coffee for our full size coffee maker on our first […] night for our 5 day stay. They refused to give us more coffee stating that we had to purchase our own from a store down the street. Mold ring in tub. On a good note-Terrace was very large. Close to attractions. Walking distance to I-drive with plenty to do. Read more
"Horrible and Pathetic"
We had booked the suite with 2 bed rooms and a kitchen. The entrance of the rooms is horrible. Not cleaned. When entered the room, it smelled like a wet carpet smell. The maintenance people didn;t even check the room before putting on the market. The flush got clogged on the first day and the exhaust is not working in one of the bath room. The bath […] rooms are very tiny. You have the standing shower where you can't turn while taking bath. The house keeping is utter useless. They don't change the soap / shampoo everyday. The will supply one once per visit. They didn't even refilled even after repeated requests. When we came in the night, we are surprised by seeing the same little pieces of the soap in the bathroom. When contacted the front desk, they said the house keeping is left for the day I should go down to get the soaps. The house keeping trashed our own plastic boxes without we putting near the trash cans. There is no bell-boy who can help you with your luggage up / down. These some of the experiences I had during my visit with my parents and my family. I don't suggest anyone to stay at this hotel. Read more
"Not the worst...."
Hotel/Outside: Upon check-in the hotel is very nice. The girls at the front counter were very nice as well. Having the indoor pool and hot tub is a nice amenity after a long day at the parks! This hotel is located within a block of a Pirates Dinner Theater, a TGIFriday's, and a Chili's restaurant. It is very close to all the other hotels and within […] walking distance of shops/other restaurants. Universal is only a few miles down the road, as well as Wet N Wild. Rooms: Room was very dated. The bed was uncomfortable and squeaky and the air conditioner sounded like it had a compressor issue. The bathroom is very small and the tv was very dated. The kitchen is a 4 burner stove-top, coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, mini fridge and dishwasher. (I would recommend to check the dishes for cleanliness before using them, as the coffee cups provided were dirty.) The balcony door was very hard to open/close as there was a problem with it sliding on the track. It was nice to have a couch though and plenty of info guides on the surrounding area on the coffee table. By far, the best part of the room was the balcony. Easily could have fit 100 people for a party up there and it overlooked Universal/Wet N Wild/ and the other hotels. The night skyline was beautiful! Breakfast: For the free breakfast voucher they give you, you will receive: a PopTart, a Kellogs Special K bar, apple, orange and a apple juice and OJ in little plastic cups. For the hot breakfast you pay $3.99 for, you will get: runny eggs, salty sausage gravy, dry biscuits, a waffle machine the batter is too thin for, and cereal/toast and coffee. (I would recommend going around the corner a little bit to the Ponderosa Steakhouse buffet and getting a full buffet meal for $3 more. It will be worth it! Overall: This hotel is not the worst of the worst. The location is superb. If you prefer something more up-to-date and a little more luxurious, there are plenty of hotels in this area that I'm sure are more accommodating. I Read more
"An Honest Review"
I read all of the reviews before booking a room for a few reasons, one being that I have spent time living in Orlando and I know how touch and go neighborhoods and hotels can be. I knew not to expect a 5 star hotel, and it was pretty much fairly represented.. minus a few things. 1st. I booked this hotel for the in room kitchen. It said that it would […] have a "full" kitchen, and the photo of the room showed a full sized fridge. When we got there it had a 2 burner stove top and a dorm sized fridge. There was a toaster oven which was a pleasant surprise.. as well as the expected microwave and coffee maker. So that's the kitchen. 2nd. The bed was not very good. I didn't expect the lap of luxury.. but it was loud to roll around on (not good when you're co-sleeping with an active night sleeping kiddo) and it felt like lying on paper. 3rd. I was stoked for the indoor pool/hot tub combo.. as I'm from a southern state so a Feb visit isn't quite hot enough for me to swim outside. I did not like having to walk to another building.. two buildings down, to get to it. I would have liked some sort of pathway vs having to walk in the parking lots and in front of registration.. or to have something featured in my building. 4th. I paid in full here on hotels.com and loved that I walked right in with no issues with my registration. HOWEVER. I requested a bottom floor/2nd floor room due to my child having some health issues. I was told it would be no issue and even called twice to make sure. When I got there I was excused by the service desk and given a 4th floor. Along with that they charged a hold on your card. They claim it will be "immediately" put back on your card upon check out. 3 days later and they are telling me it will be another 10 days before I see it. All in all, it's in a nice location.. it's easy to access Kirkman without having to get in the horrible I-drive traffic and I never had issues getting in and out of the hotel. Our keys were glitchy and we only had one work Read more

"Great Hotel"
MY boyfriend and I stayed at the Enclave for 3 nights. It was very homey and comfortable. We later found out that this hotel is basically all condo's that others own and "rent out" to others to stay in as a hotel.. this explained the homey-ness! Hotel staff was great also! Highly recommended!

"Nice room for the $$$"
I got a good deal on this and was not disappointed. The room was nice and the location convenient. The only complaint was the hot tub was a bit dirty. Would stay again at the price I paid.
"Enclave Hotel in Orlando"
The hotel is in a very good location, close to Universal Studios, Sea World and other parks. It is also right next to many shops and restaurants. The rooms are a little tight, and the shower in one of the bedrooms is very, very small.

"Needs to be updated"
Our room was nice but the beds were very squeaky. Did not get a good nights rest. The hot tub and pool area was exceptional and the breakfast in the morning was a great bargain.
"very dissapointed"
I was soo looking forward to stay at this hotel and as soon as I got to my room I was dissapointed. The bathroom was really small, toiletries where not as good as other hotels in the area, bathroom was not clean, it seems like the batroom was just swipe really fast the bed was really uncomfortable and the layout of the room was just awkward. Also, the […] so called "complimentary breakfast" is a "grab and go" bag with yougurt, juice and a fruit.. if you want the real deal _which is not worth paying for_ you have to pay 5.99 the location is the only good thing about this hotel... near everything in International Drive. "Good location needs maintenance"
Hotel is in a good location. Needs to be refurbish the rooms. Continental breakfast is only a fruit,a very small juice and a pastrie given to you in a small bag.
"Overnight Family Stay"
Overall we were happy with the room and amenities for the cost. The pull out sofa for my teenage son left a bit to be desired, had a broken brace and could probably stand to be replaced. Good location close to area food and activities, great for evening walk. Used the heated pool with our 2 1/2 yr old grandson, he really enjoyed it. Desk staff very […] friendly. I think they may need to clarify the breakfast details, believe it noted continental breakfast included. The grab and go which was included was fine for a quickie but is not quite the same as a traditional continental breakfast. Read more

"Old hotel in need of updating"
The workout room is the size of a walk in closet with lots of old machines packed into a small space. The rooms appear to have not been updated in the last 20 years & they were in bad condition in addition to needing a more thourough cleaning. They claim that the rooms are only cleaned every 3 days in the interest of being green, but the lighting is […] still incandescent in most areas including the exit signs so they are not really trying to be green with energy savings. The staff was very nice, but the facility really needs some help Read more

"Enclave Suites"
Our room was very clean, and they clean the room every 3 days, which is fine, but they took the used sofa bed sheets and did not leave any clean ones. We had to ask for more toilet paper, only had 2 to start with and with 4 people in our room we used it quickly. Also had to ask for more bath towels & washcloths, you only get 2 each in a studio room […] (one king bed and a sofa bed). I think our king bed was broke in some way, as every time you sat on or just turned over it creaked really bad as if it were going to break. The bathroom should be updated soon, as the tub/shower faucet seemed ready to pull out of the wall every time we used it. Beware coffee is nasty. They have a "continental breakfast" included in your stay. Nice idea, but you don't get to choose what you want, they ask how many people in your room, and they just hand you a pre-filled bag with 2 apples or oranges, 2 apple juices, and 2 prepackaged sweet rolls or pop tarts, even though we had 4 people in our room. We used 1 outdoor pool and the indoor pool, both were fairly clean. We enjoyed the balcony and the view we had of the small lake behind hotel facing Wet n Wild. This hotel is really close to all the action on International Drive like Wet n Wild, and only a couple minutes from Universal and Sea World, and about 10 minutes from Disney parks. Right across the street was the Pirates Dinner Adventure. Many guests had issues with getting in our Building #1 as the room keys were not working in the building entrances. If one door didn't work, then we had to use the 2nd door--never the same one worked. Read more

"screaming shower, smoke and sheetless!"
This is a condo hotel, and the kitchen was very nice. However, the non-smoking room smelled like smoke upon arrival-- I decided a quick fix would be to air out the room so we opened the sliding door, which had a nice view. Friends and I planned to shower quickly then head out to dinner, since we were filthy and tired from a day at a theme park, but […] our showers were shorter than we could have imagined-- the pipes in the wall made a terrifying roaring sound that prevented us from doing anything beyond the most basic washing up. I was honestly scared that pressure in the pipes could cause the shower head to explode into my face at any minute. We had low expectations about the already smoky and scary sounding room, but when we returned from a late dinner, the hotel added insult to injury. Even though I said I would have 4 guests, no bedding had been left for the pull out sofa. I called down to the front desk and was told that they were out of sheets, and was not offered a solution. I asked to have extra blankets sent up (never being offered a different room or second room or another option), and a security guard brought me one extra blanket. So my friends ended up sleeping on an already uncomfortable pull-out mattress, that had blood on it, with just a blanket spread on top of it. The manager was very apologetic when I explained my dissatisfaction and offered me a free night's return stay, but I'm honestly not sure I will return anyway. I don't expect a hotel to be too posh or hip, but I do expect to be able to take a shower and sleep-- and that was really difficult to make happen at the Enclave. Read more
