could not belive how huge the room was, loved the fridge and stove (yes really) which were so handy! my kids would love their apt in nyc to be this big...the down side??? needs a facelift...decor and view (back) were kind of depressing...good thing nyc is so fun to counteract this...a bit cramped in hallways etc and kind of musty smelling (got candles and cured that) so overall it was good!

This was our second stay at Eastgate Towers, we chose it because of its location to Grand Central Station (a few blocks away). On each visit we got a Studio Suite, which was a nice sized room. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet! The staff was very pleasant and very willing to help with anyting that we needed. It's great to be in NYC, but let's admit it, we all like it quiet when we sleep, and it is here!

Recently completed a four night stay here and was quite happy with my choice. Very nice neighborhood, mostly residential streets, with a wide range of eating and drinking choices very close by. It is very easy to get a cab within a block of the hotel if not right out front. The place is clean and quite well maintained and we found the staff to be helpful and quite friendly. As far as amenities they are a tad spartan. The rooms are quite large, especially by New York standards but if you are looking for a large flat screen TV, room service, and brand new furniture then you will be happier somewhere else. The kitchen is a very nice add-on if you are with family and want to save some cash on food. I would most definitely consider staying here again and found the Eastgate Tower to be an excellent value.

I think this is a good value for the money. Furnishings were older but fine for our family of 5. Our room was clean and large. We were on the 15th floor.

The staff was excellent, from the concierge, Ann, to our housekeeper and the bellman. Very friendly and professional! The rooms are the largest I have ever seen in Manhattan, the beds were super comfortable, and everything was clean and neat. The kitchen exceeded our expectations, the elevators ran quickly and efficiently, the air conditioning was fine, and the bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, etc. were first class). The hotel location was superb as we could easily walk to our broadway shows, midtown worldclass reastaurants, grand central terminal )when we needed subways to go to Wall Steet and The Met museum uptown), etc. Ann the concierge gave us recommended places to dine right around the corner that were superb and inexpensisve (Deans---Italian food that was superb, and Aquamarine for Pan Asian fusion food that we enjoyed, too). We will definitely stay here again. The best part? We saved over $100 per night over comparable hotels in Manhattan!!

The hotel needs renovation. Our room was awkwardly laid out, and sofa bed mattress uncomfortable. Kitchen and bathroom and closet space was pokey and tucked into corners of the room with a large empty space for the rest of the Jr. suite. Hairdryer was broken and one elevator was for renovation work, and the other one broken at one point. Felt it was overpriced for these reasons.

Although the hotel was clean, in my opinion the guest floors could use some modernization (TVs are a bit out of date). The lobby looks up to date. No complaints about the staff. Not having free parking with the hotel was a major pain as the parking garage associated with the hotel was difficult for me to deal with do to language barrier (I'm a naturally-born, English-speaking American; they were not). The worst aspect was the Wifi. I was on the 23rd floor and swear the router must have been no higher than the 20th. The connection was absolutely terrible and I barely had enough connection to do email. Since I was staying there on business, this was a huge setback for me. Bottom line: I would not stay here again.

I thought it was a bit pricey for the quality of the room. with an apt. I expected more kitchen utensils,because we had prepared to at least cook breakfast,since no restaurants are near. The guest bathroom on the second floor is a no-no,when I attempted to use it, it was FILTHY.

Very good hotel rooms are very big and all the staff are giving %100 We were on the 18th floor and The maid always had a pleasant word to say she had worked there 40 yrs The hotel will be modernised soon The staff are a credit to this company from the maid to the bell hop to the front desk girls and the concierge

Fabulous location. Very spacious rooms for the price. Great value for money. Kitchenette was a great help in saving money as we could breakfast in the room and also microwave some dinner stuff. Not a lot of cooking implements to use, but the staff are happy to help. Rooms show a bit of wear and tear--but the bed was comfortable and the room had all the amenties. So grateful to have a room where you can open the windows and control the heating and air conditioning myself. I will definitely stay here again.

I had Room 2E - so first floor by UK counting. It is in the corner next to the Queens tunnel exit. There is no double glazing or soundproofing. I was woken through the night by dumpsters, police sirens and general traffic stopping and starting at the traffic light right outside the room. Terribly noisy so resorted to silicone ear plugs. Also I noticed all the windows were open when I arrived - never a good sign and indeed the room had a curious smell when the fresh air was excluded (to keep out the noise). And the furniture in the room was old, tired and non-matching. Other than that - great stay and the staff at least were very friendly and helpful.

Although a non-smoking room there was a terrible smell of cigarette smoke in hallway outside the room on level 3 - caused allergic reaction. Mattress sagged towards the middle. Doors closing on units were noisy - would benefit from soft stoppers on door jambs. Facilities are dated but well maintained. Overall amenity of the hotel was reasonable value for money and location is convenient. Staff were courteous and helpful.

This hotel is reasonably priced and positioned within New York. We are a family of 4 and found this hotel was very comfortable for the price we payed. It has a well equiped kitchenette which we did not expect and was clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. "Aussies from down under"

Only a 10 minute walk to Grand central. Large rooms, although a little dated. Quite safe area, as a married couple we had no issues walking to and from the all the main activities. The concierge help was a real bonus, they are full of great ideas and really seem to enjoy helping you out.

All the staff really friendly and helpful: happy to check in our bags early AM so we were able to make the best of the day and were also happy to allow a late cxheckout to fit in with our transport to the airport, this was also arranged by the hotel. Ideally situated for Times square, Maceys, Grand Central station etc and several great diners for breakfast and lunch. Very comfortable and quiet for city hotel but looking a little tired. Highly recommended.

Our stay here began with a very peasant upgrade of our room which provided more space and a great view of NY - thanks to Alex at the counter. Not all hotel receptionists are of Alex's grade. He was fantastic throughout our stay and looked after us with a great personal touch.

really close to everything, we walked most places, but there was a bus route on 2nd ave and not far to walk to grand central or the port authority bus station, the hotel was really nice maybe a little refreshing was needed in some things but it was clean and the beds were really comfy, the staff were really really nice and nothing seemed too much trouble, the street noise and air con noise were a bit loud but didnt stop me sleeping. I would definately use this hotel again

Situated on E 39th, easy access to grand central and all mid town attractions for those prepared to do a little walking. Large comfy rooms with air con. Very helpful reception staff. This was an excellent base for are three day non stop tour to NYC - hold on to your hat the city travels at 100mph (Not the traffic however!!)

Hotel offered excellent space. We were a family of 5 and the beds and room size was superb. The room was extremely clean. The hotel is an apartment building which was converted to a hotel. Therefore there is no plush lobby or hallways (not a necessity when travelling with family). There is also laundry machines available which is an added bonus when travelling.

We have stayed in some tiny box rooms in Manhattan in the past so we were thrilled with the size of the junior suite we had at the Eastgate. It was great to have a seating area and a kitchen (although despite good intentions we didn't use it!). The beds were comfortable, there was a lot of storage space and the rooms were very clean. Some of the public areas were a little tired but still very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We made good use of the guest laundry. The hotel is in a residential part of New York and is relatively quiet. There are a range of eating options in the neighborhood. The McDonalds on the corner is awful - avoid at all costs! The Townhouse Cafe around the corner on 2nd Ave is very good, especially for breakfast. It is 20-30 minutes walk to Times Square. The buses are close and regular. This hotel is great value for money and we highly recommend it.

Room was upgraded on arrival, wifi was a surcharge, but not expensive and the connectivity was excellent. Attentive staff throughout, central and within walking distance for most of the attractions (rockefella, empire state etc) - grand central was 5 mins walk so anything else we used the subway on single rides and everything was on line 4 uptown or downtown depending on the tourist site - but dead easy. taxi's were not expensive either. good shopping facilities and places to eat locally, all trips were bookable through the consierge in reception, but we had booked everything independently prior to holiday, ATM in reception, hotel had own limo for airport transfers at more competetive rates, attentive bell boy, and nobody EXPECTED tips, so although we did tip, we did not feel obliged to tip. Will definately book here again!

Enjoyable but for the fact that access to Internet is quite costly ($5 for 12 minutes in the lobby, $13+ per day in the room) PLUS there is a $1.50 charge for 800 numbere!? While realizing that business is difficult but also noting that the hotel was fully booked, I have some dificulty to understand such additional charges.

Eastgate Hotel was in a great location in New York, close to Grand Central Station and only and not far from Time Square etc. It was nice to come back to some quietness at the end of the day. We had to change rooms, due to the uncomfortable bed. The staff were more that happy to accommodate us. I would recommend this hotel for your New York stay.

Very large room; much more space than we expected. A little dated, but everything was in good condition. Very helpful staff. It is a few blocks from the nearest subway stop, but there are nearby convenient bus routes. Many restaurants in the surrounding area.

Unfortunatly we were very dissapointed with the hotel. The rooms are very old, the beds were very uncomfortable, the mattresses are old, the bathroom very small, small and old TV.....defenetly would not stay there again and will not recomend. Was not worth the money at all!!!!

This is the best value NY hotel we have stayed at. The 'apartment' nature of the accommodation means that rooms are large by NY standards and the inclusion of a kitchen offers the chance to save by eating in. The kitchen had a full size cooker and fridge/freezer, with just about adequate cooking utensils. The mid-town location is good, and it's only five minutes to a subway and less to a supermarket. The desk and concierge staff were friendly and helpful, much better than others we have encountered in NY. For a cheaper end hotel the room service was outstanding - daily cleaning and fresh towels. We neglected to do the washing up one morning, but it was done when we returned. The hotel's fittings and furnishings might strike some people as a little outmoded and approaching their sell-by-date, but everything was clean and in working order, including the relatively quiet air conditioning.We may have been lucky, but our eighth floor room was largely free from internal and external noise. Together with a comfortable bed this ensured restful nights. We would certainly use this hotel again.

The hotel is in a great location, only a few blocks from the Empire State and Grand Central Station, it was only a 15/20 minute walk to Time Square. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded from a Junior Suite to Double Queen Suite for no extra cost. The room was massive, clean and had everything we needed, having a fridge was a bonus too. We slept really well as there was hardly any traffic noise at night time, although the hotel was full there was a calm atmosphere and we could not hear any other guests during the night. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

Eastgate was a great hotel for what we needed. Away from the stress of Times Square but still close to everything. Room is starting to show it's age and it's inconvienient not being able to control the room temp (except by opening the window!). Rooms were cleaned very well and staff were excellent. Will stay again due to the reasonableness of cost and location.

We could walk to almost anything from the hotel and what might be too much of a hike was accessible from the subway and buses which are all within a few blocks. The staff is friendly, helpful and not pushy. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I'd recommend this spot .

호텔 자체 및 서비스 등은 매우 만족스러웠습니다. 다만 호텔닷컴에서 예약한다고 끝나는게 아니라 별도 계약과 숙박기간동안 발생할 수 있는 손해에 대한 배상을 위한 신용카드 등록 등 2-3개의 절차를 별도로 진행해야 합니다. 숙박 한달전에 예약했는데, 미국특유의 느린 일처리로 체크인 3일전까지 이런 서류작업들을 해야했습니다. 게다가 동시에 같은 기간동안 머무를 2개의 방을 예약했는데 각 방에 대한 진행절차(계약서 작성, 신용카드 등록 등)가 각각 일정도 제멋대로, 제출 서류도 각각 다르게 요구해서 체크인하기 전까지 정말 예약이 되고 있는 건지 불안했습니다.

ホテルを探す基準の一つとして冷蔵庫が利用できるところが希望でした。このホテルは冷蔵庫どころか立派なシステムキッチンがあり食器類やグラスそして調理器具などなんでも揃っていて大変に重宝しまた。シングルベッドの部屋でしたが割と広く備え付けの家具などもオシャレにコーディネートされていてとても過ごし易かったです。シャワーの出も良かったです。ホテルの直ぐそばには24時間の大きなスーパーがあったりその他にもテイクアウトできるフード屋さんが沢山あり買い物にも事欠きませんでした。 また、なんと言ってもグランドセントラル駅まで徒歩5分程なので どこに行くにもアクセスがとても良いです。特にヤンキースタジアムには20分弱程で乗り換えなしで行けるので良かったです。 是非また利用したいです。

Belle et propre chambre, spacieuse, cuisine moderne et toute équipée. Salle de fitness et laverie dans l'hôtel. Terrasse au sommet accessible. A 5 minutes à pieds de Grand Central.

Guten Tag. Das Hotel findet sich in sehr guter Lage,nahe beim Central Station. Der Empfang war herzlich und das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind gross und sauber, aber eine Renovation würde nicht schaden.Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

友人から聞いていた通り、良かったです。ツインでしたが、ベットサイズも大きく、ゆったりとした部屋の広さで快適でした。キッチンも清潔で使いやすかったです。グランドセントラル駅から8分くらいで、24Hコンビニエンスが、途中にあって便利でした。           た。

Se você não der gorjeta, o tratamento da limpeza é péssimo. Por exemplo, chegaram a deixar a lixeira aberta com a tampa jogada no chão do quarto. Assustador. Por isso só dei gorjeta para o bellman, que foi muito cordial.
