Na Balam got some underserved poor scores. The location happened to be the best location on the island (as far as beaches go), and fairly convenient to excitement of down town. The grounds were spectacular, and for such a reasonable price. Front desk and beach bar staff were not amazing, but not bad either. They could do some training on customer service in order to make it a more magical experience, but all in all, it was acceptable service.

Fantastic deal for your money. The confirmation from hotels.com said that our room had ocean, pool and garden view.... it didn't. The view was just trees. We had booked a king size bed but got 2 queens instead so that was disappointing but over all a great place. Men need to bring long pants if you're planning on eating in the a'la cart restaurants. The buffets are great, a'la cart is ok.

I loved the hotel and the service is wonderful, however I was really disappointed in the beach. We had to travel to another Palace resort to swim in the ocean and take pictures. But that is my only complaint.

This beachfront resort on the southern Cancún Hotel Zone is 0.6 km (0.4 mi) from El Rey Ruins and 5 km (3 mi) from Wet n' Wild.
Hotel Features.
Situated on the less-crowded section of the Cancún Hotel Zone, Crown Paradise Club Cancun All Inclusive offers family-friendly amenities such as a kids' waterpark, baby club, teens club, and myriad games and crafts. The majority of amenities and activities at this Cancun resort are included in the room rate, including nightly theme parties, one-way shuttle service to a Cancún nightclub, and 24-hour room service. Guests enjoy access to 2 pools, a health-and-beauty spa (surcharge), fitness center, and business center. Miniature golf, volleyball, tennis, and basketball are also offered. Restaurant options include a steakhouse, a fine-dining Mexican restaurant, French and Italian restaurants, and an intimate seafood restaurant. Casual options include Fujiyama, featuring sushi, and Beach Bar, located beachfront.

Collage - Located next to the lobby, this family-friendly sports bar features areas for movies, Ping-Pong, pool, and electronic games. La Concha - Poolside bar.
Club Caribe - A swim-up bar with lagoon and sunset views.
Beach Bar - A beachfront bar.
The resort also includes two snack bars, one open for late-night snacks and another open in the early morning for express breakfast.
The majority of recreational activities and facilities described below are included in the room rate for this resort (scroll up to the All-Inclusive details section for more information).
The Crown Paradise Resort features two oceanfront swimming pools, an adults-only pool, another pool sheltered in a teepee-like, open-air atrium, and a children's pool with three water slides.
Guests can enjoy the use of two lighted tennis courts, a small miniature golf course, lawn chess, shuffleboard, aerobics, outdoor yoga, and beach volleyball. A short shuttle ride away, guests can also take advantage of kayaks, small sailboats, paddleboats, and windsurfers at AquaWorld Marina 2 km (just over a mile) away on Nichupté Lagoon, the vast body of placid water lying between Cancún Island and the mainland. Shuttles to the marina are complimentary.
Independent operators farther down the beach offer personal watercraft and parasailing (surcharges). The nearest golf course is the 72 par Hilton Cancún Golf Club which is across the street (surcharge).

The Cancun Hotel Zone rests on a slit of land bound by a lagoon and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Sunseekers crowd the white-sand beaches. At night, the action moves to the restaurants, clubs, and bars that line Boulevard Kukulcán, the area’s main artery. This road passes by the El Rey ruins, believed to be a king’s tomb.

We read all the reviews so knew what to expect. We have two kids 3,7 and it was perfect for them. And plenty of booze for the parents. Food was ok. We live in Mexico and found the Mexican place to be really good. Steak place was ok. Make sure you call at 8 am a day before to make reservations. When we did that we had no problem getting in. Not much […] for nightlife but the clubs are close. Great for kids/teens. Beach was great, decent waves but not overpowering. Sand is nice, water is perfect. "Thoroughly Enjoyed"
Great, loved it. Nice facility, nice staff, great condition, good food overall. So little to complain about but would say that there was only one heated pool which was not ideal in December. Still, all still a temperature that was acceptable and the sea was pleasant temp too. Would recommend and would return.

The room was shabby, there were bugs in the room, while showering the bathroom flooded, the food was discusting, the service was not at all up to par, We had to leave as soon as we were able to get reservations at another hotel.
"Awful food"
There's SO many other better hotels in Cancun. Skip this one. The staff is nice, but the food is TASTELESS and room service comes up cold every time. We had ordered the "Romance Package" through hotels.com and somehow never got it. No one seemed to be able to find our reservation.

The hotel was a disappointment! Our room was very worn, small and the furnitures were old fashioned. The bathroom was also horrible. Shower and faucet so old, that I have never seen such! Swimming pool area was chaos and crowded. The sunbeds was reserved already early in the morning and the noise was hard all day on the area. Buffet restaurant was also […] very noisy place. "Great stay-Crown paradise-Cancun"
We thought this hoel was great. There was a drain issue in the hotel but it was fixed right away. The service was very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In fact when we did have a drain issue they called to follow up and see how everything was. We will stay again for sure.

When we arrived they told us they had no room, so they gave us an old appartment. The bed was like sleeping on concrete and the cleaning of the room was bad. Also no minibar. In the restaurants the food was really bad. Exept the buffet was not so bad. Lockation is to far away from anuthing. Drinks was watered out. Impossible to get a buzz.. Stay away […] from this hotel!! I planned a trip to cancun and stay with crown paradise and couldn't be more happier . My girlfriend and I had a great time , wonderful staff, tons of great food a must go place .and i will defiantly be returning for a stay here.

As we were travelling to stay with my sister and her three kids! we were aware that the hotel catered to families so we paid a bit more and stayed in the Crown Rooms for adults only (the top three floors of the second tower) This was a blessing however it would have been nice if the adults only pool allowed topless tanning?! The restaurants should have […] adults only section after 9pm as we purposely booked a late dining time and were still subjected to screaming kids! The food in all the restaurants was mediocre, both taste and temperature?! We like our food to be served piping hot! The buffet restaurant for breakfast and lunch was fine but absolutely disgusting for dinner. Me parece un buen hotel si llevas familia y con hijos pequeños, si buscas algo mas para adultos este no es el lugar. Las camas son duras. Este Hotel es magnífico en casi todos los aspectos, pero tiene una carencia fundamental en cualquier tipo estancia y son sus almohadas y camas... las almohadas están llenas de bolas, son muy gordas y de pésima calidad, y los colchones son extremadamente duros, literalmente unas tablas. Lamento mucho que los 4 adultos no descansamos ni pudimos dormir […] bien. Buen hotel, ideal para vacaciones en familia, lo unico que creo que podía mejorar es su horario del salón de juegos ya que abre hasta medio día sería bueno que ampliaran el horario desde las 8 o 9 am, escaso personal de meseros en el restaurant gral de buffet no se dan a basto de limpiar las mesas y mucho menos de atender a los visitantes, el hotel […] estaría al 80% y era todo un reto conseguir camastros ya fuera alrededor de la alberca o en la playa, cuestión casi imposible... la comida aceptable pero creo que definitivamente pudieran mejorar.
