We enjoyed our stay here. The location is very convenient. We were able to park on the street and walked everywhere. It was nice to get back to the hotel and have such a pleasant garden area with a hottub, warm pool and cooler pool. several different sitting areas. A little oasis in the middle of town. Enjoyed talking with other visitors during the wine and cheese time.

We booked this hotel as a family weekend vacation to Key West in Feb. The good qualities of the Hotel: good price compared to other hotels in the area, confortable bed, nice hotel service, gives you free ride on the bus that takes you Duval st, and a discount of the restaurant next door (tried breakfast and it was really good). The bad qualities of the Hotel: The beds were double not queen, the carpet had weird stains, the pool was closed for renovations and it wasn't close from Duval st....Still if your trying to save and you dont mind driving to Duval, then this is place for you, i would have prefer a closer location where we could walk to the attractions.

This was our 5 year anniversary trip. We were told about this hotel by friends. It did not dissapoint. Laid back key west resort with the amenities, service and food that were outstanding. Next time we go to key west this will be where we stay! As a side note that isnt really a side note, The spa was terrific. Small with great services! "The Perfect Getaway"
The location is perfect, grounds are beautiful. Room is very well appointed including one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Every staff member we dealt with was pleasant and helpful. Hotel is in a GREAT location to Duval street with all the action for nighlife and food but not too close to hear all the noise. The hotel is superb, it looks and feels brand new. Visitors should be aware, that the restaurant is an open air building that can only be reached by crossing the beach. "Nice stay with a few things to consider"
We enjoyed our stay at the Southernmost on the Beach. The location of the hotel is probably the best of any hotel on the island - it is within walking distance to all of the excitement and restaurants, yet tucked far enough away so that you can escape to a quiet, clean place. The rooms were pretty well maintained and cleaned. We stayed in the old C […] building in a west lawn oceanfront king. The room was fairly small for two people (not much room for two large suitcases). The C building had a motel feel to it, even though the room inside was newer and pretty nice. The decor and furniture was modern and tasteful, and is generally similar to the newer building with a few variances. We didn't like the ac unit on the wall next to the bathroom vanity. It was loud and motel-like. I would definitely recommend requesting an upper floor with no one above you. The newer building is a bit nicer with bigger bathrooms, sitting chairs in the room, and their own balconies with chairs. The bottom floor C building rooms, have a chair outside the door, but you are sitting in the walkway of traffic and don't get much of a view. The upper floor in the old C building at least has a sitting deck with chairs that is offset from the main walkway. Overall, I would say this is a great place in terms of location, cleanliness, and facilities. You must find the private beach and pier on this resort. They are amazing, and not overcrowded. Every time I went there, there were lounge chairs AND umbrellas available, and sometimes even hammocks. This was my first stay at the Southern Most on th Beach. I will say the place was wonderful for the money. Everyone's "idea" of wonderful is different. To give othe readers an idea of how I rated the hotel is, I stay at Hampton Inn's most of the time when I travel. I though Southern Most is much better than the, and I really enjoyed my stay. The only issue I had was the lock on my door wasn't working properly, but the staff took care of it right away. Also, the location was great. It was off of Davul St so it was quiet, but was within walking distance of all of the tourist things. I would recomend Southern Most on the Beach to anyone and will book again with them. One other thing when the state "partial ocean view" you really to get a view of the ocean and is not an advertising ploy. I really enjoyed the view from my room and had a "partial ocean" view. The customer service was fantastic! Will stay here every time we go to the keys. Once some of the bartenders learned that it was our honeymoon free key lime pie and shots were on the way!
