Awesome spot right in town with great people. Even used their bikes for a great outing!

We lived the hotel - the room was small but it was spotless and the bathroom was a decent size. We loved the location and the porch where you could enjoy a cocktail or coffee rocking away on a summer night.

We really enjoyed our stay at Vineyard Square! The location, bed and shower were awesome. The staff was very friendly and helpful..set me up with a bike helmet when I forgot mine, and helped us find the perfect spot for kayaking. We booked the cozy queen and found it to be more roomy than expected. It was perfect for us as we didn't spend much time in the room, and if you want to lounge, the lobby, breakfast area, porch and upper balcony offer ample, welcoming space to relax. The off season rates were a fantastic value for the island. We will book Vineyard Square on our next trip for sure!
Great place to stay on the island. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, good price, close to restaurants, pubs and shops. Near the water. Quaint setting. Pleasant staff. Room price included complimentary breakfast. It was all good.
Just had a wonderful week. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. The weather was perfect for biking etc.
Edgartown is the town to stay in. Great restaurants.
The continental breakfast was better than any I've had. Home cooked muffins and special energy bars.
A definite place to stay.
My husband & I celebrated our 31st Anniversary on MV. It was our first visit and we loved every bit of the trip from the freshly baked muffins at breakfast and the cookies/brownies in the evening to just sitting out on the front porch on the rocking chairs. My friend is a fractional share owner at the Vineyard Square Hotel & Suites and suggested we stay here. Location is great and a short walk to the waterfront, shops & restaurants. All the staff were friendly and helpful especially Katy & Evelyn. Thank you for making our trip so wonderful.
My first visit to Martha's Vineyard and found this delightful hotel online. I wasn't sure where to stay, but Edgartown is ideal. Wouldn't change a thing. And this hotel - the service was above and beyond. They had bikes we could use, helped us ship our luggage, gave us recommendations for all kinds of places to go and eat - they were wonderful. And sitting on the deck in a rocking chair sipping a cocktail - what more can I say?!?
My husband and I spent three nights at the Vineyard Square last week and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is just great, with a perfect location in the center of Edgartown. It is clean and cheery and has a very comfortable, friendly feel while having all the amenities one would want, and the front desk staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. Our room was recently renovated and had very "beachy" feel. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was clean and spacious. We had a slight view of the water but just down the hall was a veranda with big rockers that had a beautiful view of the harbor, which was a great place to relax before dinner. The first floor porch is also lovely and a nice place to sit for a few minutes. Breakfast was just right, with nice homemade muffins. September is the perfect time to be on the Vineyard - gorgeous weather and no crowds - and the Vineyard Square is exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely stay again.
My husband and I needed to get away for our anniversary and decided to go to Martha's Vineyard. We stayed in a luxury suite and it was beautiful and relaxing. From our room we could see downtown and the ocean. The hotel has reciently been renovated throughout with comfortable, beautiful furnishings. It really felt inviting. The staff was amazing! Evelyn, the assistant manager, a true rockstar! Very knowledgeable about the hotel and the area. Offered us help with things to do, what to see and where to dine. Having never been to the Vineyard this was incredibly helpful. I cannot say enough about our experience! I can't wait to return again and again!
We just left the Vinyard Square and I am writing this review from the airport. I wanted to ensure I got it done. I've traveled extensively and this was one of the best places I have ever stayed. It had everything...class, FRIENDLY & HELPFUL staff, comfortable accomodations, and it was centrally located to everything!!! I will definitely be back...Thank you Evelyn & staff!! You made my birthday and bucket list item memorable!
My husband and I recently stayed here during our honeymoon, and it was great. The location is perfectly centered in the heart of Edgartown, and we could see the bay from our room. The service was fantastic from holding our luggage until our rooms were ready to asking us daily how our stay was. The restaurant located in the hotel, Chesca's, was great too!
My teenage daughter and I spent two days on Martha's Vineyard while touring some colleges out east. It was the first time there for both of us. I travel quite a bit - so I feel I have background for comparison. It was a wonderful mini-vacation and we would definitely go back. I want to bring the entire family back next summer. The hotel is located right in the middle of the "action" center of Edgartown. I didn't know what to expect being that this was my first time to Martha's Vineyard. If you travel a lot and are used to high end 5 star chain hotels - this is NOT what you are getting. The building itself is old (along with everything else on the island). However, it has been remodeled. Our room was tiny - 2 queen beds almost touching and placed in a "L" configuration. Because it was just my daughter and I and only for 2 nights - it was fine. We spent most of the time outside of the room exploring the island. This is a quaint boutique-type hotel. It reminded me more of the small resort towns in northern Minnesota. The beds were super comfortable and the bedding all new and white - yay! Bathroom had been redone and was nice. The only problem was there was no place to put toiletries in the bathroom. I ended up moving a nightstand into the bathroom to have a place to put make-up, blow dryer, combs, etc. on while I was getting ready. Otherwise - you had to keep bending down and picking things off the floor. There is no way my family of 4 would fit into that room. It sleeps four - but that would never work unless you had no luggage. Given that I paid $550 a night - I would've liked more room to put my suitcase out in. It is fine for a child and parent or a couple - it is not fine for a family with 2 teenagers unless you are used to living in really small quarters. If I go back - we will rent 2 rooms. There is a hotel with larger, more suite-type rooms on the island. However, it is out of town and not in the center of the action. It all depends on what you are looking for - it was great for our purpose. The view from the room was another wall of the hotel - bad. Parking is an issue on the island. We brought a car over because we were in the middle of driving to different cities out east and already had it rented. I'm glad we did - it allowed us to go all over the island in 2 days and see a lot in a short amount of time. The beaches are gorgeous. The view from Aquiannah (sp?) Cliffs is amazing. You park a few blocks from the hotel. That was fine - because once you are there you walk or drive to another city. Lots to see and do - definitely a tourist area. Restaurants and shops near by. Got up every morning and walked to coffee shop a block away while I let my daughter sleep in. Didn't eat at restaurant in hotel. Lots of great shopping. Went to spa 2 days. Had many different treatments between my daughter and I. I was scammed on my facial. It was supposed to be 50 minutes - was lucky if it was 30 minutes. The other treatments were fine. If you want to sit on the beach and relax - maybe not place to go. If want to be in middle of action - great place to go.
