I was in town for business for several days, and decided to stay on the beach instead of at a business hotel. I was under the impression that the resort was a bit more upscale than it turned out to be, although the beach and the pool were well-maintained and perfectly enjoyable. The linens were worn, and the air conditioner was way too loud, although it did a fine job of cooling the room. There wasn't really a desk in the room, and the wi-fi was spotty at best. I got the impression that the hotel was well-staffed during the day, and ran on a skeleton crew at night - for instance, there was no security there to remove a drunk, naked man from the hot tub when complaints were registered. We were very pleased and will return there for another vacation. Some maintenance was needed to stove and sink, but nothing that really affected our stay. Wonderful location looking over the ocean. Clean room, comfortable beds, with a private balcony & kitchen.Very nice! The hotel is right on the beach. It's pet friendly, completely non-smoking everywhere, and has many pools and hot tubs to choose from. Very clean, friendly staff. It's a must for a visit to Myrtle Beach when on a budget.

The location was great,access to the beach was perfect,really liked the Hotel, the room was very nice, unfortunately, on the day we stay, the chlorine level was high in the hot tub, it cause my girl friends bathing suit to fade. My best friend and I took my 2 sons (9 & 10 yo) for a mini-vacation. The rooms were exactly as pictured on their website. Very clean and comfortable. Great access to the beach. Staff was very responsive to any calls for towels and maintenance. My only complaint...our housekeeper did not really make the beds and kind of just threw the covers up to the […] top and placed the pillows on the bed. And she vacuumed & put out the trash. great hotel if you are bringing your dog. great beach front views. could not use the pull down bed for the kids since it looked gross and mattress was very lumpy. So we all had to sleep in the bedroom which defeats the purpose of getting the two rooms.

I was pleasantly surprised by our rooms. I wasn't real sure what I was going to get after reading previous reviews, but decided to take a chance seeing how you can't please everyone all the time and bad things happen to good people. The staff was courteous, the beds were comfortable, and the showers had great water pressure. I will stay here again.

The oceanfront efficiency looked exactly like the photos posted. The room was very clean, the staff was easy to deal with and we had a great view of the ocean from our balcony. Great location, great customer service and friendly staff. I did not know in advance that they did not have a restaurant or bar, but this ended up ok. Lots of places to eat within walking distance and saved money by buying my beer and putting it in th refrig. Their wi-fi was inconsistent but I never reported the problem.

Just returned from an amazing weekend at Ocean Park. The hotel was very clean and i didn't smell any pet odors. Never would have known it was pet friendly. Room looked just as it did online and the beds were so comfortable. The oceanfront view from balcony was priceless. Pools were great and never crowded and the huge hottub was a plus.Hotel was close […] to everything yet so quiet and peaceful. It was nice to have security 24hrs a day when traveling with children. We arrived around 2pm and was able to check in early which was wonderful. Our room was very clean. No doggy odor whatsoever. Staff very helpful when asked for directions to area atractions. I would certainly stay at this hotel again. View of the ocean was beautiful from the balcony.

I didn't catch that it was pet friendly when i made the reservation and that kind of worried me, but really it was nice seeing the pampered pooches and there was no odor in the hotel. The two elevators were over worked. At one point I was in the elevator with ten people and 3 dogs because no one wanted to wait for another one. I was very happy with my 'partial ocean view'--i saved money and the view was great The pools were nice, There is both an indoor and outdoor hot tub. The outdoor one is huge. I'd guess it could fit at least 30 people though i never found it with more than six or so and the water is nice and hot. I found the front desk staff not very friendly or helpful. I thought housekeeping was great---the room was very clean each day and we had no scheduling issues. They have a security man at night who is very nice and maintenance was also friendly (we did not have any issues). I did not LOVE this hotel though, I think part is that you see all these signs while you're in the area with cheaper rates and ocean views that make you question your rates (i realize i didn't see those rooms). The hotel didn't have a restaurant and there is nothing 'just up the street', be prepared to drive or walk a mile. parking was never a concern for us, plenty of spots. Read more

When we arrived at Ocean Park we noticed that the Lobby was neat and that the clerk staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and our room was clean and fresh when we arrived. There was dust by the sliding glass door and the sink drained really slow in the bathroom. Other than that, no major faults. The full kitchen was nice and clean and the view from the balcony was amazing! The pool/spa area was somewhat sandy but that's because people would come from the beach and rinse their feet in the pool instead of using the outside showers! Dogs are welcome there but they kept the property clean so you couldn't even tell they were there. I couldn't have been happier with the comfort of the bed/pillows/blankets. A comfy bed is very important and they arnt lacking in that area. I however didn't like no smoking allowed on balconies because of course I'm a smoker. FREE WATERPARK tickets!!!! Highly recommended, thanks ocean park!!
