Name "Tri Valley Inn and Suites" is misleading for this 1940s or 50s strip motel a mile from downtown. Crummy furnishings, shower that measures 24" x 24", very old TV, red carpet full of food and other stains. Telephone didn't work and very ancient hv/ac up at 7 feet had no instructions or discernable way to operate -- but once I found an unmarked button […] I took the chance to press, the thing was so noisy I couldn't use it. Breakfast is minimal continental. Spot was convenient and a clean bed at reasonable price, but no more. Definitely not anything that lives up to the image of "inn and suites." Read more

Booked a smoking room but was told at check in none were available. First room we were given there were no lights working in room so we were given another room...tv not working correctly in this one, trash found underneath both beds, dried blood spatter in the bath room around light switch,burnt holes in carpet through out, room totally dirty...overall […] for A $100 a night room it was deplorable and disgusting and should recieve a full refund. I had reserved two non-smoking rooms. Arrived at 4:30 pm anticipating that rooms would be close to each other. Turns out they were separated by some distance. One of the rooms reeked of cigarette smoke. Bathrooms were small. Shower was the size of a phone booth. Looking for something cheap near BART for trip next day to SF. Clean and quiet with what appeared to be fresh coat of paint within last year. Bed was comfortable bathroom was clean. Can't ask for much more for the price. Asked for a couple of more pillows and the woman at the front counter got them within a few minutes.

When we first arrived there was blood on the bed spread. The room smelled like urine, the floor was damp over by the desk which was behind the shower wall. The continental breakfast was sub-par and the guy came out and watched us as we took 1 roll and a bowl of cereal. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will not ever stay there again.

Room was not ready, even though they had checked me in and given me the key. I had to wait outside while the housekeeper "cleaned". In the refrigerator was a previous guests leftovers, and the frost build up in the freezer section would allow not even an ice tray.

This is an older small motel right off Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton. It's just a few miles south of I-580. The rooms I have stayed in are good size; the bathrooms very small but everything has been clean. This is wonderful because this hotel allows pets for a very reasonable pet fee. The bathroom only has a shower, and it is quite small. The good news is my disabled sister can't fall in the shower! Everything is clean. There is direct TV, small fridge, microwave and coffee pot in the room. I always ask for and politely receive an additional blanket since I keep the fan or /ac on low all night to mitigate street noise. I have been placed in their kitchenette room, which appears to have a full size kitchen for longer stays. I am sensitive to smells which makes the kitchenette room not the best choice because I can smell the spicy food smells from previous guests, although the kitchen is clean. This would be great if I wanted to stay in the area for a week or so and wanted to cook in my room. This is a great place to stay overnight as I travel between Southern CA and Southern OR. Read more

The people were very nice and the location was perfect. The room was not clean enough. If they would spend an extra 30 mins. a week on cleaning the walls and the carpet it would be so much nicer. Fridge and Microwave were both clean. Also the water pressure was very low. The pool was great and so were the grounds.

Overall satisfactory. Carpet and shower could use better cleaning. Would have liked a coffee pot in the room. Continental breakfast items were stale and coffee was very weak. This is a renovated one-story motel from the 1950s or 1960s. The rooms were comfortable, but the strange layout caused my tv to be quite a distance from the bed. The continental breakfast is nothing to write home about, just cereal, rolls, toast, coffee, & juice.

The hotel is in the perfect location for our Girl Scout event at the Alamada County Fairgrounds. The room was clean. Did have a problem with the area being flooded outside of doorway from the ice machine (a little dangerous with kids). Pool was clean and very cold. Careful with kids slipping by pool. I have to say I do believe the reviewers who gave this place more than an adequate were paid to write a good review. The person who wrote "It reminded me of a one bedroom cottage." Come on. Really? At least you made me laugh. Reality, maybe there are better rooms in the place, the one I got was next to two guys who smoked pretty continually outside […] their rooms who I believe must live in them full-time. You could do this, since there is a little kitchen. The decor is old floral posters that I remember from the 70's, faded and ironically, obviously screwed to the walls. I took some pictures since I was in shock and it made me laugh. The shower looked scary, I didn't use it. No plug in the sink. The peephole was broken in the door so couldn't see out. The pillows were lumpy, but I always bring my own. The flooring made me nervous, I wouldn't walk barefoot. The free breakfast took up a counter about 3 feet wide. The bed surprisingly comfortable and I guess that is really all that matters in the scheme of things. The price was good, that is about it. Oh, kudos to the photographer who took the pictures of the room on this website. REALLY well done, kind of like glamour shots (reality different than the picture). Read more

I had read other reviews of this property that complained about the odor in the rooms. They are correct, the smell is very strange and greatly effects the quality of this Inn. Room was OK, location was great for our needs. Bedding and towels were clean & fresh. Shower showed signs of mold, and would be fine for anyone under 5 feet and 100 pounds - anyone else will be unhappy with the shower. The bathroom generally lacked storage. The room did have a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot.

Could not tolerate this room at all. Took two steps into the door and the smell of whatever they clean with was so atrocious it immediately sparked a migraine. Then the bed was noticed. Dipping in the middle and unfit for anyone to sleep on. Immediately gave the keys back and left.

This is an okay hotel and, it was an okay stay. The hotel is very convienent to the neighborhood and easy to find. The rooms were comfortable however, the pillows were lumpy and the bathroom was very small. The bed was comfortable and easy to fall asleep in. The carpet was sticky in places and I would not recommend walking barefoot, or in socks on it. […] the refrigerator was working and very clean. I would rate this hotel a 3.
