When we got to the room it smelled really bad and we narrowed it down to the microwave, when we opened the microwave it looked like someone had spilled a Cappuccino all over in it. We called to have it taken care of and the next afternoon it was still there! We ended up having to take the Microwave down o the front deks our selves!

Location was close to our destination and at a fair price. The location of the hotel was near everything from shopping to meals (Breakfast place shared the parking lot) . Other than that all was okay. Continental breakfast had few selections, nothing really fresh or fruit oriented, but was free. Attendants were friendly but hard to find. The hotel was as we expected... no frills. However, it was located near everything we needed access to (i.e., grocery, restaurants, fast food, & event location). There was an smokey odor that was very prevalent in the elevators and hallways. The room was fine though and clean. Price was great!

unfortunately, blankets and spreads were dirty on both beds. Some of the towels and wash cloths were stained. 2 beds means 2 people , 1 bottle of shampoo wasn't enough. the Mattresses were awful

The hotel was about par for the price. I only problem I have is the internet does not work in the rooms. You have to go to the lobby. Even in the lobby the internet connection is not that great.

I have medical issues that i need to use a cpap machine to sleep with and a bad heart. With staying there for 7 days the power at the hotel would go on and off during the night. setting off alarms and the a/c not working do to no power. I would not stay there again and very disapointed in the hotel!

I was very happy that I changed from my original hotel to this one. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a busy stay with my daughters graduation at the Naval Base but everyone made me feel welcome and safe as traveling on my own for the first time.

It is very affordable 3 day stay for us. Hotel is within 30-40 minutes of Chicago. And Hotel is 3 miles away from a highway. Parking is free of course. There's also free WiFi and complimentary breakfast. For dining there is a huge shopping mall 1 mile away with a lot of options. The only minus - it has smoking rooms and corridor is heavily treated with […] artificial scent to subdue the smell. Our room we managed to ventilate and remove any artificial scent. Linens and towels are supposed to be white, but they are grayish, not enough chlorox apparently. Kitchen and lobby is very clean. Personnel is helpful, relaxed and unintrusive. Read more

For a 2 star hotel, I really count on the Super 8 chain to provide what I need in a hotel, a clean room, hairdryer, coffee and something to eat in the mornings and a pleasant staff to help me when I need it. This hotel had it all. I would give it 4 stars!

This place was great for the money. If only the hallway didn't smell like the smoking section ... that is my only criticism! But the room smelled fresh and clean. Super deoderizer, I think. And the bed was comfortable.

It was great however the first room I stayed in the ac was broke, yet the next day they made accomodations for me which was highly satisfiing. I will absolutely stay at this hotel again merely by how they dealt with the ac situation. I will say thou breakfast ending at 9 is too early. Very nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Room included microwave, coffee maker, and fridge. Staff was pleasant. Short drive to Metra station. I frequently travel to the area on business so I know my way around. Lots of good places to eat and best pizza (Pizza Italia - they deliver) is about 2 miles away. when i searched for hotels in the area i specifically selected one of the features be a pool. they did not have a pool! i also wanted a non-smoking room and the room smelled very badly of cigarettes as soon as we opened the door.

I attended a wedding in the area and chose this hotel for the price and proximity to the wedding. What really impressed me was that we arrived around noon which meant we were going to have to wait for our rooms to be available. However, when I explained we had just flown in to attend a wedding later that afternoon, they had our rooms ready in about […] 15 minutes! Very friendly staff who make you feel welcome and at home. I had was in the breakfast bar a little late the next day, and the manager personally brought me some milk for my cereal. A member of my party had a headache and needed to take some aspirin, and again the manager saw to it that he had a cup of milk to go with it, even though it was after the breakfast bar had closed. That meant a lot to me! I enjoyed chatting with the manager outside the entrance to the hotel, and he told me how much he enjoys the guests who stay in his establishment, even though the economy has made it tough for him over the last few years. I strongly recommend this hotel for folks who are budget minded and appreciate hard-working people who go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay! They go the extra mile here. Read more
