The outside of the hotel was filthy and the driveway going into the parking lot was all broke up and there were pot holes all in it....I wouldn't usually mind but this trip we brought my car so it was a pain getting in and out. Also when I went to check in it took the people a little bit to get up to the front ( this same thing happened every time I […] had to go to the front desk.) The door locks were old & often did not want to work for us to get into the room. The very first night we stayed a bunch of kids booked several rooms on the same floor and the didn't get to the hotel until about 11pm and were very noisy. I didn't mind the first few times they went up and down the hall but after awhile I called the front desk and asked if they would care to say something to the parents/ guardians and the clerk acted like he was insulted or something and I had to argue a little with him for him to say anything. CLEANLINESS: overall the hotel room was ok but the shower head had grime all over it and one of the towels looked like it had blood on it!! ( but was washed & dried) FREE WIFI: yes it was free but we had to go up front and ask what the password was & u have to go through this whole process to get it.....it was really a pain. Read more

Let me say that the staff was nice, but the room sucked. The outside of the hotel suggests cozy inside, however getting into the room is another story. Keep in mind it hasn't been updated since probably the early 70's except for the tv from the early 90's each wall was painted in a different close shade of green puke color which made the room very dark […] even with all the lights on. The bed wasn't at all comfortable either. Just gotta get some updates in there, but who paints the walls that color. What is wrong with white walls or new carpet without stains and wear areas. Excellent location off of I75. The staff was very nice. The hotel and room were clean and comfortable. The bed was a little soft for my liking, but not acceptable. Breakfast was cereal and muffins. I would stay here again without any hesitation.

I stayed in a room designated as Non-Smoking, however, it was as if it were a Smoking room. It is a small hotel and the non-smoking and smoking rooms were on the same level. The room was clean and you can tell that they are trying to make it better. The staff was nice. The breakfast items provided in the morning were okay; nothing spectacular (coffee, tea, OJ, cold/hot cereal), but I suspect that the muffins and English muffins provided were the same ones from the week before I arrived (ick). Don't let the 2-star rating fool you about this little Super 8. The friendly staff and low price really impressed me, and it will continue to get my recommendation. We live in town, but due to lack of A/C sought shelter here for the night. The building is a bit old, and it shows in some of the quality, but the room amenities (hair dryer, ironing board, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee-maker + coffee) more than made up for any other lack of quality. The continental breakfast was humble but thorough, with plenty of cold items (cereal, pastries, muffins, fruit) and drinks (coffee, juices, milk, tea, cocoa, etc.), and microwavable sausage biscuits an added plus. Got 2 rooms .First room reeked of cigarette smoke in a non-smoking room, but was otherwise fairly clean. Second room needed a better cleaning, Alarm radio kept losing electricity, so I crawled under the center table between the beds and it was plugged in. My biggest issue with this or any hotel, is that smoking and non-smoking should NEVER be on the same floor! Smoking in non-smoking rooms or down the hall from non-smoking rooms makes the non-smoking rooms reek horribly. The housekeeping attendant had no problem sprinkling the floor with a fragrance powder and then vacuuming to assist with the smell. […] Unfortunately, the hotel staff is supposed to "catch" and report those who break the state code of smoking in designated non-smoking areas, but the key word is that the other people must be caught in order to be reported and charged a fee by the hotel. Thankfully, I had a very fragrant oil that I was able to apply in areas of my room to really minimize the cigarette smell. Otherwise, this hotel staff was very friendly, well cared for and clean! This hotel has basic amenities with a basic complimentary breakfast, which satisfied me until I was able to eat at a local restaurant for a larger meal. I rate my overall experience a 5! Read more

I booked this Super8 just prior to the Dayton, Ohio Hamvention, the world's largest amateur (ham) radio convention. I customarily stay at Holiday Inns but my last stay in Nashville left me dissatisfied as they had stopped even providing complementary coffee. We had a King, non-smoking room that was very clean and well-appointed. There were plenty of […] bath towels and wash cloths as well as soap, shampoo, hair drier, etc. The continental breakfast is the usual fare of pastries, cereal, milk juice, etc. Coffee IS complementary and available 24/7 in the lobby. There is also the usual in-room coffeemaker but we did not use it. This is our first stay at a Super8, lasting three nights and it was a positive experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions for local stores and restaurants as we needed them. I had read the reviews here at Hotels.com and felt that the quality seemed to be trending upward for this property. I am please to say this was our experience and that we can recommend this Super8.
