Super 8 Motel - San Jose Airport/Convention Ctr. Area - San Jose

This hotel was not clean what so ever. The person that checked us in was rude, not helpful what so ever, and just flat out mean. He didn't even explain to us where our room is. I felt like I had bugs crawling on me all night long. The bathroom was so gross I wouldn't even take a shower there.

The bedroom was clean. The batnroom needs a good cleaning, especially the tile floor. We booked a 2 queen non smoking room. When we got there they had a 1 bed smoking room available. I have asthma so that was not going to work. The man behind the counter wasnt too friendly but said he would see what he could do. He got us what we originally paid for […] but on the 2nd. floor. Hotel isn't the newest or most extravagant, but the price is fair and you get a clean room/bed for a night. if that's all you need you'll be fine. Walls are thin so there's risk of an annoying noisy neighbor but that's a risk at the expensive places too. Staff is incredibly polite and has great service attitude.

The picture of the hotel room for the ordered price is showing a bright nice clean room with whirlpool. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We did have an issue with loud partiers who were booked into the room next door. The motel was quite empty, so it would have been better to place a younger crowd away from our family with small children. I admit that I showed up at 11:30pm, but the desk clerk would not let me into the lobby, and we had to conduct our transaction through one of those "bank window" things with the little metal tray to pass cards and paperwork back and forth. I was not at all happy with this hotel. I happened to be one of the lucky people to stay on the second floor close to the night club above the Mexican restaurant. Loud music and people were out all night making noise. It was a mess. The bath towels felt like sand paper on your skin so drying off after taking a shower involved pain. My rolled up sweatshirt was far more comfortable to use than the pillow. The windows wouldn't lock either. Thank goodness we were on the second floor. If I would have looked at the vending machine sooner, I am sure I would have had a pretty good indication about the type of people who stay there. Next to the pop tarts and the snickers bar, I could conveniently purchase a toothbrush and toothpaste and a small package of Trojan condoms. Try explaining that to your children. The stay could have been far better. I will not go back. Orange juice at the continental breakfast was more brown than orange. The danishes were kind of stale and right out of the box you might buy at Costco. There was no separate section for breakfast, so sitting down to eat was tight. Only two tables. Read more

We got there late, after a concert and the man that was at the window was a real jerk! He was rude and disrespectful. We stayed there for about 6 hours, we checked in at 12:00 midnight on February 23rd and checked out on the 24th at approx. 5:45am.
