I visit family in this area and have stayed at many area hotels. This Super 8 is always clean and a great value.

"Fleabag Flophouse - Stay Anywhere Else"
I don't mind worn and dated (duct tape holding the door frame together, broken furniture, old tv) BUT my room was dirty. By this I mean carpet clearly not vacuumed at all, and hairs EVERYWHERE. When I pulled back the sheets to check for bugs (all clear) there were multiple hairs under and on the pillows. The sheets could not have been changed after […] the last guest. Also hairs in the tub, on the walls, and on bathroom counter. Scary-looking old style bedspread. Glad they were pet friendly, but I didn't want my dog to touch anything and pick up germs. "I would not stay here again"
The hotel was very hard to find. Our room was not clean. the sheets had stains on them. We had fleas in our bed. the breakfast consisted of coffee, milk, juice, and a wrapped honey bun. I was very unhappy with this hotel!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"local stay"
Located in the "city" area of Talladega it was a short distance to everything, mainly cause the town was not very large. The only thing not real close was the Interstate. The track was through some back roads that would probably clog at race day. All said though it was located just out side teh Walmart parking lot and local dining which made the comforts […] of home excellent to have during my visit.. "Not Impressed"
Hotel was lousy. Rooms were not clean. Ended up going next door to the Walmart to buy items to re-clean a room that the hotel desk clerk allowed us to check into, smelling like that.
