Good hotel, staff was great, room was very clean and overall the property is well maintained. If you're looking for a spot surrounded by dining and/or entertainment, it's a little bit of a drive to those (aside from Pizza Hut). Good breakfast and a very nice pool. Definitely would stay again and recommend for all travelers.

Hard to find as hotel is in Summerset SD and Hotel.com has it in Rapid city so when you put address in gps it wont come up. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean but common a reas halls, elevators etc eere not.

The hotel room did not rise to my previous experiences at Ramada Inns across the country. It felt more like a Super 8 or Motel 6. While the room included a wonderful bed, a decent amount of space, and good, unobtrusive housekeeping, other issues left a bad impression. The custodial staff refused to address a loud fluorescent hum over the vanity, and […] the straight wooden chairs were terrible. I also had to unplug the room's phone to reduce the horrible static on the clock radio. We stayed at this hotel based on other reviews and they were not wrong! True, the hotel is not brand new.....but it was CLEAN! I loved the soap, shampoo and lotion. we stayed in a room with two queen size beds, and two teenagers We found it to be quite roomy, considering all our luggage and gift bags Hotel bar is small, but well stocked! Kids loved the pool Bathroom is small, but clean Would definately recommend this hotel

The pool only goes up to 5 feet so my teenagers were disappointed, but the younger kids had a blast. People going to the wedding reception next door kept walking through the pool area. First night was Ok. Second night, we had no hand soap, they had not replaced creamer for the coffee and there was no trash bag in trash can. Third night, dirty towels left on the floor. We needed to make a bed on the floor for our daughter. The staff was extremely helpful in getting us the extra sheets and things we needed. The room was comfortable. The stay at the hotel was excellent. Service was outstanding and the room was extremely comfortable. I am diabetic and had to store insulin. There was not a refrigerator in the room but the hotel kept my medications in a refrigerator in the kitchen and I had 24-hour access. An outstanding three-night stay.

Hotel breakfast left more to be desired. Microwave eggs just didn't work for me or my family. More variety and better preparation needed. We requested our room to be on the top floor as we felt it would be less noisy with no quests above our room. Not so.....Our floor housed several families. We were not able to be out by 10:00am for the cleaning people, so they did not clean and make our beds at all Saturday. We had trouble finding this hotel (Ramada Rapid City West) because the address was in some town other than Summerset - we learned later that Summerset shares a zip code w/the other town. We were eager to see Mt. Rushmore and were coming from Custer SD so we were delayed in returning to Rushmore area. We did find it convenient in continuing our trip […] to the west. One of the desk clerks told us about the monument to the geographical center of the nation in Belle Fourche so we were able to make a quick side trip to that site. The hotel was accommodating, amenities were great. Were traveling w/teenagers and younger kids and they enjoyed the pool and continental breakfast. We stayed at the Ramada here in Blackhawk, SD for 3 nights. The hotel is clean and the employees were nice. I was disapointed at the distance from Rapid City we actually were but can't complain as the price reflected this compared to other hotels during the 4th of July weekend. Actually I think we were even on the outskirts of the town of Blackhawk. […] It took us around 15 mintues interstate driving to get to Rapid City. There was one day that it rained really hard and our window leaked to our room and the floor was soaking wet. The hotel was booked so only option was to get towels and try to soak it up. The breakfast was a nice perk, nothing fancy but enough options to get us full! Would recommend to someone that doesn't mind driving and doesn't need frills as a budget getaway. Read more

Awesome bed, great service,attractive looking hotel. Ended up staying more time than anticipated, and the hotel crew was very helpful and accomidating. The shower could have used more pressure, but was fine. Couldn't have asked for more. Great view of the bay, but would have liked the windows cleaned on the outside. Will definitely stay again!

They pretend to be in rapid city but they are not. Look at the addess on Google maps, it is several miles away. WiFi went down after first day and hotel would not help. Told me to call support myself. Support could not help either because they were remote and could not reach the router either. Will not stay here again.
