This hotel is currently under renovation. So when we arrived, things looked a bit in disarray. The first room they gave us would not lock when shut, so we asked for a new room. The new room smelled like smoke even though it was on a non-smoking floor. Once inside, the amenities are average. More than half of this Super 8 was under construction - and not in any professional manner. Construction material was strewn about the hotel halls and filled the entire lobby. The walls had paint splattered all over them. Certain hallways were not lit at night, making it very uncomfortable to move about. Obviously, there was no breakfast available in […] the lobby. And none of this was mentioned when booking the hotel room. As for the room, there was a fairly large gap between the door and the wall, so much so that one could see out into the hallway with the door closed. The room was filled with the smell of smoke, despite the "non-smoking" sign on the door. When the heater was turned on, it added a strong burnt rubber smell to the room. Not what I was anticipating from a place with 3.4/5 on the review scale. This was a pretty disappointing experience. Could not find the microwave... The rooms didn't have their own microwave, and the place is under renovation so couldn't locate the microwave easily. Room was clean enough and the bed was comfortable enough. The fridge in my room was not working, keeps water lukewarm at best. Suffice it to say I didn't find out until the next morning the fridge didn't […] work (not that I could heat up food anyways). TVs are old but I don't really care about that. Trying to save some $$ by heating up microwave meals and avoid driving around. Ended up doing a lot of both. Read more

Arrived to find the whole lower floor was removed for retiling. The place was so dusty, I was sneezing constantly-especially upon entering. Was so tired when I arrived, I decided to go ahead and stay-wish I wouldn't have. Won't again. They should have warned peopke or given a discount or something. Yuck.

Hallway smelled of smoke. Bathroom cramped--stool too close to counter, and tp holder hard to reach. Shower was nice. Shampoo and soap, but no conditioner. Heater in room a little noisy. Nice to have table & 2 chairs and fridge. Beds ok.

I stayed here over Thanksgiving break since I grew up in Lee's Summit, but now live out of town. If all you are looking for is somewhere to sleep and shower, then this place is fine. The free breakfast is fairly limited, but marginally adequate although we frequently had to ask for food items since they were already out. My big problem was the maintenance […] of the building. When we checked into our room, there were small pieces of trash on the floor that would have been picked up by any vacuum cleaner. The sheets had some yellowing and staining. The workout room was closed and "under repair," but you could tell it was being used a storage space as there were boxes of paper towels and stuff stacked inside. The pool is small, but useable for smaller kids. However, there were dirty towels sitting in the pool room when we left that had been sitting there when we checked in. The bathroom near the lobby was disgustingly dirty. The side door to the building did not lock, even at night. The building was not crowded; it was probably less than half full. There just didn't seem to be much effort being put forth to keep up with basic hotel expectations. I will not be staying here again. Read more

You can tell when you walk in the room that the motel hasn't been updated in some time (outdated pattern on the bedspreads and an old tube TV). Beds are not the most comfortable. Pillows are terrible. There was mold on the bottom of the shower curtain - probably because there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The hotel is very close to family, so we don't spend much time in the hotel. Since the prices are very low, you get what you pay for.

We enjoyed our stay at the Super 8, but were disappointed in the breakfast. The rooms were clean and nice, but we felt that the pillows were not firm enough for our taste, not a big deal. The rates were good and that was what mattered.

the hotel overall was nice. The beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean and there was great water pressure in the shower. The fridge all though new made a little bit of noise. They took up all the sitting areas and they were not staying at the hotel.They were grilling in the roadway we had to use for psrking. IT WAS AWFUL. I ARRIVED AT 4PM AND THEY WOULDN'T TAKE GIVE MY GOVERNMENT DISCOUNT SO I PAID FULL PRICE. THE ROOM WAS DIRTY AND THE SHEETS WERE STAINED. We arrived to find that the "Spa" is a hot tub, and the gym is closed because of broken equipment. On more then one occasion the front desk appeared irritated that I/We were asking for anything. Overall I will never stay in ANY Super 8 again!

We had to come up to KC to take granddaughter to airport. For a one or two night stay this hotel is ok. It is under new management and there are things such as the sink in bathroom, that needs to be fixed. The manager was friendly and helpful. Location is close to restaurants and other activities. It was an ok experience.

the room was clean, but I doubt if the comforter was freshly laundered. It had a decent size refrigerator. The beds were very comfortable and we heard no noises in the hallway at night (even though they were 100% booked). I liked the idea of opening the window and getting fresh air. I have no complaints. The hotel seemed to have maintainence issues. The toilet paper dispenser fell off the wall, the tub hand rail was loose and we lost several cable channels during our stay, the air vent in the wash room didn't work. Also the pool needed cleaning.
