I''ve always had good experiences with Holiday Inn hotels, our room was clean and the staff got us our room right away. There was a security guard walking the grounds at night which made my girlfriend feel comfortable when she went outside to smoke as this is a nonsmoking hotel.

"don't stay here"
This was a horrible hotel. Pillows were like rocks. Breakfast was bad. Frozen waffles with no syrup. Pool was closed so long it was green.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Whatever happened to common courtesy?"
While I didn't expect a Super 8 in Pevely, Missouri to be as accomodating as the Ritz; I was looking forward to a little small town courtesy. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Other than the Housekeeper I met in the elevator, no one on the staff seemed very enthused that we were staying there. The answer I heard most at the front desk was, "no". […] Whether I was aking for an extra towel, more creamer at the coffee bar or if they could help out with directions around town; the answer was always, simply, "no, we can't do that". The website for the hotel stated they had an indoor pool, hot tub and internet access. The hot tub was closed when I arrived. The pool was open on Friday, but by Saturday morning, they had closed that too. They wouldn't tell me why they were closed, just that I couldn't use them. By "internet access" they meant one computer in the lobby for everyone to share. While the room was fairly clean, the blanket and bedspread were full of cigarette burns! "HOT, uncleaned room!"
The overall appearance of the hotel was shabby inside and out. The entire hotel was hot and muggy and the smell of chlorine permeated every space. Public bathrooms were very dirty and our first room hadn't even been cleaned from the prior occupant. Our second room was at least 90 degrees and the old air conditioner could hardly get the temperature down […] to bearable sleeping conditions by 2am. "Super 8 in Pevely"
Located right off of I-55, But you have to drive through a Truck Stop/McDonald`s Parking lot to get to it . Parking is miniscule, was unable to park close to room location. Amenities are minimal. The hotel cleanliness was ok. The bathrooms are too small and it was not stocked very well. The pool area was nice but there were way too much chemicals in the pool. When we arrived they had our reservation, but we wanted a non smoking room and they had us in a smoking room. The lady at the front did not know how to undo this and had to call another […] person. She acted like she just wanted me to say thats ok we will just take the smoking room. It would be a nice hotel just make sure the pool didn't just get chemicals put in it. They put too much.
