"Stay away"

Dirty, old and run-down is the best way to describe the Super 8 in Davenport. Not sure where others stayed in the motel, that liked it but my room needed painting and a good cleaning (black mold in shower, carpet and bed linens stained. I really did not expect much for what I paid and I did not get much. Felt unsafe and only a few guest were there that night (Sunday), now I know why. My daughter who was with us thought that it reminded her of some terrible horror film.. Service was only fair as the front desk person seemed bothered by me. Wanted to first refuse my reservation through hotels.com, even though it was paid in full. However I pressed him showed the email copy from the booking and then he quickly found it. I will never stay in the motel again. Oh, and as for the "breakfast" toast, juice and a muffin seemed to round it out.

The room was okay, very basic. The wireless internet could not be accessed from the room, only from the lobby. The ice and coke machines were both not working, and the numbers to nearby restaurants were outdated and disconnected. The manager, however, was very nice and displayed great customer service. OK for the price, just don't expect much.

I was very pleased and quite comfortable. The front desk guys were very polite and helpful. A few places to eat within walking distance and very convenient to Interstate 4. As a former motel employee in Georgia , I thought it a good bargain.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is older but is a great value. The only drawwback is that the ice machine is still broken and you have to go to the front desk and beg for ice.

Had to change rooms because door would not lock. Staff was very helpful and swapped rooms with no problems. Room was clean and comfortable.

Dreadful stay. First, because I prepaid for my room, I could not get a first floor room. I am 73 years old with a cardiac condition, but the hotel staff did not have the authority to move me to a first floor room and there was not a manager available at any time. Second, there was some machinery of some sort running at all hours of the night; it never stopped, and reverberated throughout my room. Third, there was no ice available except at the front desk. I will not stay at this hotel again.

Something was going awry with the connection on the pool side and I kept changing networks but couldn't get good service in the room. I drove around to the front of the building and did my internet work in my car. Everything else was ok. Some "roly poleys" and a few beetles were getting into the room somehow in the morning. I mentioned it upon checkout and they said it happens every year at a certain time. That's the only bug I would be able to stand in there, so it was ok this time. Satisfactory, ok for the rate.

We were very happy with our stay here. We checked in at 3 in the morning and we needed an extra room. The hotel staff was very helpful. It is only an exit or two away from Disney World (on I-4) and located right between Burger King and Waffle House so even if we miss free breakfast, we didn't have to drive around looking for somewhere to eat.

the breakfast was not good, however there are places to eat nearby. the staff was very rude. I had to change rooms because they had not given me the correct room the first time and the person working when I checked in could not change it because the manager was not there. While changing rooms left some clothing in the old room which housekeeping failed to log as lost and found it took them two days to find the item and the manager told me they had thrown it away.

My company has a rule that the Hotel.com receipt is not enough, they require proof that I stayed at the hotel. The staff at this hotel at first did not want to provide anything. In the end, when they could see how important it was to me, gave in and gave me a copy of their record. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

My family and I were trying to plan a last minute weekend to Disney, and booked this room on hotels.com. I was a little concerned about the location of the hotel in relation to Disney. It turned out to be the perfect location, 10 minutes accurately from the main gate! The room was very clean, service great, and super easy check in. I was so impressed I had to comment to management, and my family and I will definately be returning!! Great job Super 8!!

If you're looking to save money on a Disney visit and just need a decent place to sleep- this is hotel is a great deal. No fancy bells or whistles of course, but it was very clean and smelled fresh which frankly was all we needed for a good night's sleep.
