"Price is cheap, but beware"
I stayed at this hotel because it was "pet-friendly." The sign in front said the rooms were recently renovated. My room looked like it hadn't been renovated since the 70's. The remote wouldn't turn on tv, but would work it after manually turning it on. Maybe it had something to do with the tape holding in the battery. Beware pet owners, if you stay […] here you will be charged a10 pet fee, something the web site fails to mention. I drove 7 miles frome I-26 to stay here. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't drive 7 feet. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The owner of this hotel, doesn't appears to care much about his property. The place is in need of a lot of repair a good cleaning. I checked in at 6p and was supposed to be there for five days. When I got up at 5a I was canceling the other four days. This hotel is for a true adventurer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It's an older hotel, but it was okay for the price.
"Good for the price. Clean, but worn. Would stay again."

Situated an hour and half minutes outside of Charleston and not too far off the highway, this Super 8 was the perfect choice for our cheap, one night stay before heading into the city. With comfortable but firm beds, a clean room, and a better than expected breakfast, we were happy with our stay. The hotel is older and shows signs of it (broken tiles in the bathroom, chipped paint, pitted fixtures), but everything worked and the price was right. The staff was friendly, especially since we arrived at 12:30AM.

Excellent Accommodations for a Super8 a far cry from the one night we spent at another Super8 in Ashland, VA.

This property is in town. The rooms are dated but clean. You can park your car right outside the room. The shower had good pressure and loads of hot water. The bed was comfortable and the refrigerator worked. The breakfast bar was very small.....only 8 seats beside the check out desk.

The staff people were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I needed to use a printer, and they let me use their office computer as the one in the lobby was not connected to the internet. The room was clean, although the tile floor was sticky. I would say that it was a good price for what we got. Also, the breakfast was exceptional, with omelets as an added feature.
"Good price, quiet."

Hotel was quiet but a bit far from the interstate. The bathroom ceiling was sagging and in need of remodeling. The cold water knob in the shower took massive strength to turn on. The bed was comfortable and the room didn't have an unpleasant odor. You could do worse for the price. We skipped the included breakfast--the breakfast room only appeared to seat about four people.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. The room was clean and the property well maintained. The staff was very friendly, I was here for a short visit and everything was good.
"A great sleep in Orangeburg."

My wife and I spent a very restful evening/night here after a long drive north from Palm Harbor, Florida. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and included a micro and fridge. We walked across the road to a friendly local restaurant - Original House of Pizza - where we very much enjoyed our dinner. The wifi was reliable. The breakfast in the morning was good for selection of food items, but could be in a better location, with more room. Overall a very happy traveller.
"Nice rooms. "
Rooms definitely look better than the outside would lead you to believe. Room I stayed in could use some work... towel rack hanging out of the wall, electrical tape on a damaged nightstand light. Room was very clean. No outlets close to the bed to plug ur mobile phone into. Bed was comfortable and clean. For the money, I'd recommend this hotel. Not a lot to do close bye, but it is what it is.

I stopped in Orangeburg SC late, and I dropped by Holiday Inn Express to find that they, and all the other hotels near the interstate, were full up. Undaunted, I checked my phone to see if there was something not so near the Interstate that might be less likely to have filled up, et voila, I struck upon Super 8. When I arrived and checked in, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the room had been updated recently, the bed was comfortable enough, and the amenities were sufficient. But, alas, that's where my enthusiasm for the stay took a nosedive. I had rented a non smoking room, but it was obvious the room had been smoked in some time earlier. but, hey, it was Super 8; I expected no less, really. However, the perfumed, Febreze-imitation cover-up had nearly covered all the smokey stench, though, as I wandered the room, I was occasionally briefly accosted it. Exhausted, I laid down and tried to sleep right away, but the sudden biting at the back of my throat and the precipitous onrush of post nasal drip and wheezing caused by the perfume nearly caused me to get up and leave. Why I didn't I still ponder. I guess I was very tired and didn't think I could find another place to stay. At any rate, things got worse, and by morning I was hoarse, draining gallons of snot, had bronchial spasms, my heart rate had doubled, and my voice had dropped half an octave. The paper-thin walls combined with the frequent passage of whistling freight trains and the booming car stereos were but frosting on the exquisite happenstance that was my stay at Super 8. That was Saturday night, and today is Tuesday. I still suffer significant respiratory after-effects of my encounter with the perfume and it has ruined a long anticipated vacation. Thank you very much, Gopal/Super 8.

We stopped on our way from Ohio to Florida and the room was clean, and beds were clean. Beds were full size and pillowtop. Shower had hot water, and ice machine had ice. Those were our needs and they were met. Breakfast was cereal, a waffle iron, frozen egg and cheese omelets and frozen cinnamon rolls but they were good and everything was clean. We enjoyed our stay and the man at the front desk was very nice. I believe he is the son of the owners. The outside looks worn and old but pull in and stay a night.
