The free breakfast was a joke! English muffins must have come over on the Mayflower. Waffle iron had pieces of bun waffle on it and was unusable. Poor selection and not well stocked. Had to ask for everything. Felt like Oliver in the play.

The price was right on this hotel, but that was about it. I was glad we were only staying for one night. The carpet in the room was pretty dirty. The pillows were awful and the beds weren't that much better. We stayed here because of price and that it had a pool and hot tub. The hot tub was the temperature of bath water and the jets were not working. […] The pool had so many chemicals in it you could hardly see the bottom. we stayed here on our family vacation. have 2 small kids. rooms were nice roomy. beds comfy, bathroom large. tv's need to be updated (old tube style hard to hear) indoor pool was great!!! wish rooms had mini fridge/microwave. staff friendly and breakfast was ok. hotel was right off highway easy on/off.

Well the first room I was given had a mixed odor of cigarette smoke and B.O. Needless to say it was disgusting, but there was no argument from staff about reassigning my room. Im just glad there was another room available. The room was dark, and semi-clean. The exterior and the service at the desk were the best part of staying here. The floor boards were creaky. The cleanliness was lacking, dirt in the corners, linoleum in Bath was clean in the center and faded to a dingy gray at the corners and sides. We were there two days and they didn't even clean or replenish our room the first day.; The toilet seat […] was loose and the fan in the bath was like a helicopter. I reported it to the desk but nothing was done to fix either problem. The continental breakfast was a hoax, The juice was watered down. The fruit was gone in the first half an hour and was not replenished. Cereal and toast were done in the same way, after the first hour all that was left was Waffles, no syrup just margarine and jam. We wanted to try a different place because two other places in Roseburg were just the same as this. Maybe its an area attitude toward visitors. This location was close to where we needed to be but thats about all. My guess is that unless things improve there, this will be just another rundown motel with great Freeway access. Read more

We chose this hotel on the recomendation of a friend. It was decent enough, it's a budget hotel so you get what you pay for. However, when we went to put our kids to bed there was MILDEW stains on the sheets. When we started to pull the sheet off the bed, we realized that 2 of the pillows on that bed also had MILDEW stains on them! GROSS! We complained […] to the staff the next morning and she made a note and said she would take it to the head of housekeeping. When we returned that evening we had clean sheets (well, at least with no mildew). Also, the towels didn't smell fresh. I assume they were clean, but they didn't have that fresh hotel towel smell. The pool was ok, but there wasn't a window or door to open for fresh air (this is a common complaint for me as I am sensitive to clorine). Read more

We stay here quite a lot with family living near by. This stay we truly got what we paid for. Only place for smokers to smoke, outside the front doors. Every time we came and went it was through cigarette smoke. Even in the hallway this time. Was also disappointed in the cleanlyness. Bathroom had someones old washcloth from who knows how long ago hanging […] from the shower rod. Asked for a wakeup call, the night manager did not even know what it was. When asked about the size of the beds in the room, the manager finally admitted he was new and had never been in the rooms to know. We stayed for two nights and were very happy with the hotel. Our room was very clean, the mattress was really comfortable, the complimentary breakfast was good (and the hotel staff were willing to leave it open past time and let us eat without rushing us when we got our times mixed up), and we LOVED the pool!!! We were shocked at how hot and stuffy […] the pool room was when we first entered, but we became used to it very quickly, and the warmth allowed us to get in and out of the pool very comfortably (without getting cold). We went to WildLife Safari which was not far from the hotel, and REALLY FUN! The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel is that the towels were pretty bad -- very small and very thin. Price versus what we got was about par. The bed was very hard and not comfortable at all. We both woke up very stiff. The continental breakfast was nothing like others I've had. The shower head was very low even for my husband who's only 5'8". I guess it's okay for a night but not pleased.

By looking at the online photos of this Super 8 Motel, I thought the condition would be livable if not good. Turned out that I was entirely wrong. I was given the room at the very corner on the first floor of the motel. Once I opened the door, a pungent smell came forth. I went forward to turn on the lights, and figure there were merely three lightings […] in the room, two lamps with small bulbs and one on the ceiling. The lighting was so bad that is felt like a scene of innocent and pitiful prisoners in movies. Although still filled with that awful smell, the bathroom was somewhat okay, or that's what I thought. However, the next day, there was a small cochroach climbing around. Causing me to feel thoroughly disgusted and ready to puke and leave ASAP. What amazed me was that even though I had the window opened the entire night, the nightmarish smell still hung in the air, litereally, EVERYWHERE. I still smelled like puke, burned plastic and humid cloth after I left the hotel--- about 8 hours until I took a hot shower when finally arriving home. Most important of all, the price that I paid for a night's stay in Super 8 Motel- Roseburg was unreasonable for this horrible quality they provided. It would have been okay if the pricing is under $25. Service as unpleasant as this makes me think how heartless this inn owner is, taking so much and providing so little, still unemabarrassed in today's world of intense buisness competition. Read more

After reading reviews, I decided to stay here because the reviews I read said it was clean. Our room was clean, but that's about the only good thing i can say about it. Also the lady that does the breakfast in the morning was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is very outdated and we got a nonsmoling room. When the elevator opened to our floor […] the entire floor smelled of marijuana. the remainder of our stay the marijuana smell was replaced with the smell of cigarettes.The smell crept into our room too. Our first night our toilet got plugged. i called the front desk and she told me i could come get a plunger. I was apalled. she said she was by herself and couldn't leave the desk. When i returned the plunger i asked her what would have been done if i could not have unplugged it or if it had overflown. she told me she would have then tried herself and turned the water off to our toilet. So what i got from that is that we would have been expected to deal with it untill morning when maintance and housekeeping came on. I will never again stay at any super 8 motel. Also I am not sure if they clean the pool area. There was garbage, lint, and fuzz on the floor that was there friday night and still there saturday night. Read more

Stayed for 2 nights and it was fine. They missed our room cleaning on the second day but we were able to get new towels easily. Location is right off I-5 but no restaurants or stores in the immediate area (except a Lowes). Overall a good value for a brief stay.

it is convenient, right off the freeway. Gas and food are not far. The front desk was nice. They serve a continental breakfast but we didn't stay for it--we went to the Shari's close by--it was good. The walls are thin and we […] had especially noisy neighbors on both sides and above us. right after we went to bed, the room to the left of us had their TV on so loud, it was like we were in a movie theater. We called the front desk. They responded promptly by calling the room and they turned the TV down. Then the room to the right of us decided to talk on speaker phone very loudly for 40 minutes. We finally knocked on their door to let them know we could hear everything they were saying. Once they quieted down, the people above us stomped back and forth for about 90 minutes. Our stay at Motel 8 was night 15 of our 23 day road trip. We've seen many hotel rooms and this was one of the loudest. The walls were very thin. We could easily hear our neighbors next door, both talking and watching TV. Also, the noises from above us on the second floor were no picnic. Small children, which we have as well, were allowed late into the […] night to run and jump above us. Thankfully our kids were already asleep before that started.
