It appeared that the room was not ready for check-in, although nothing was said at the front desk when we checked in. The beds were made, and the bathroom cleaned and restocked, but we only had 1 bath towel. However, the floor hadn't been vacuumed. As we contemplated asking for a different room, we noticed the window wasn't shut. After closing the window, we realized that it would not lock. A big problem for a ground floor window. The front desk refused to let us transfer to a different room, because we had prepaid. Fortunately, a guest waiting to check in offered to trade us rooms. The best low-cost motel in the area. I've stayed at many places in the Fairmont, Clarksburg, Morgantown region, and this one has become my top choice. The only place better is the HIE next door, however it's only slightly nicer, but costs nearly twice as much! The staff at this Super 8 has always been helpful, the rooms are clean and in good condition. […] There are interior hallways, so the rooms don't open to the outside. This gives it a more "hotel" feel and keeps the room floors clean. Microwaves, refrigerators, coffee makers, ironing board, etc all standard. Free local newspaper and breakfast (I never eat breakfast, so can't comment) in a nice common area by front desk, with couches and TV. Nothing fancy, but all good. There are much, much worse choices in the area, I can assure you! :) A variety of shopping and eating options are available within a mile--a couple right next door. Read more

I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews but I was so happy the room was modest but very cleant &I did not smell of smoke for a non-smoking room that you sometimes do. The mattress was just ok, sheets a bit flimsy but clean. I would stay here again, great value for the price. Easy access off highway.

The room was disgusting. Security lock disabled on back door so people were running in and out all night long and slamming doors, Breakfast was terrible, stale bread and waffles in a toaster (only one toaster for 20+ people). The desk clerk was very helpful and is doing her best.. The place needs a major make over, the carpet in room was sticky in spots, hair in the beds, ( not ours) just really run down. Like I saiid desk clerk did was she could but she just works there. Spend the extra money and stay across the lot at the Holiday Inn Express.

As soon as I sat on the bed in this Super 8 I was tempted to stay in the room fr 2 days. I have never slept on a hotel bed that could come close to this one. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had no complaints at all with the exception of the soda machine that ate my money.

Smelled like cigarrettes even though it said non-smoking. We left early cause it was so bad and the people nextdoor kept opening and slamming there door all night their dog was running loose in the hallway their kids were riding bikes in the hallway as well.

I frequently make trips to Fairmont and this is the only hotel I stay at. This past weekend happened to be college graduation and the hote was filled to capacity. I did not hear one person in the halls or in their rooms after I closed my door.
