"Will stay again"
Our room was clean & nice. The room has a microwave and small fridge which are nice accommodations & a light breakfast was available. We will stay again the next time we are in Marshall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good only for a stop over"
No coffee pots in rooms. No hair dryers. Carpet moldy and smelly. Breakfast was really nonexistent.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not bad for the money..."
It wasn't somewhere I would choose if I were looking for a relaxing vacation. However, I was there for a one night stay the day before my daughter's college graduation and it was very satisfactory. The staff was nice and the rooms were more than adequate. ThanksGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Not happy with this hotel. Did not get the room we paid for. Toilet was wobbly. Sink was dirty. Will never stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Acceptable for the price"
This was a comfortable cheap place to stay. Nothing fancy but it met the minimum standards expected from an older, refurbished hotel. I would only recommend it if you can get a good deal on it.Genuine Expedia guest review
Stayed 2 nights. The hotel is right off of the highway and easy to find, rooms were very clean and desk staff was friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"THE GOOD THE BAD THE UGLY"
The Good: The staff at check in were helpful, the location was good. The BAD: where do I start, not to clean, the mattress was from the 60's and well used. THE UGLY: The only thing thinner then the walls were the towels and sheets needs some updating for sure. 5:17 AM the trucks start and run for half hour while the driver go eat the so called breakfast. […] Oh did I mention the noise from the traffic on the roads. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and comfortable"
This hotel is proof that a decent hotel doesn't have to cost $100. Hot water to shower, warm air from the heater, comfortable bed. The only complaint I have is that the sheets were getting a wee bit threadbear. Other than this, it was a perfectly fine hotel room to catch some shut-eye in.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
There were a lot of construction vehicles with their motors running and a lot of people outside drinking beer and making a lot of noise. Didn't get much sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Value and Accomodation"
The motel is located a quarter mile off the interstate, avoiding that traffic noise. State route 59 runs along the hotel, with most rooms facing along (not toward) that road, or are further removed. Warm & friendly greeting by desk staff, gave me #201, which has additional noise protection behind the roof of the guest house. Clean king room, recently […] refurnished and updated. Nice bath/shower and counter, comfortable bed, small fridge and microwave. Wall mounted TV does not swivel. Quiet night. Most guests seem to be construction or oil trade employees with large P/U trucks - who idle for a while in the morning before taking off. Breakfast is minimal choices Styrofoam style. Grab a cup of coffee and a Danish and get a real breakfast down the road. Can't complain though, great price with AAA discount. Explore old-town Marshall, Caddo Lake and historic Jefferson nearby. "Have seen better Super 8's for the money."
All the lights were unplugged in the room, so I had to go around to plug them in before we could turn on a light. The air was off, and the room was really warm, even though it was after 9:30pm when we arrived. There was a spider in my dads bed. The freezer had not been defrosted in I don't know how long, it was full of ice buildup, I was able to squeeze […] some of our ice packs into it, but not all. We did report the ice build up in the freezer, but forgot to mention the spider in the bed. Breakfast area was very small, only 4 tables with seating for 2 people each. Coffee in the thermos was cold at breakfast, but there was hot coffee in the coffee pot. Hotel and rooms need updated. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Only problem was the remote control did not work. Staff replaced it and the new one worked. Otherwise motel was what you would expect for this type of motel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Simple but comfortable"
Simple installations but comfortable and clean. I appreciated the fridge and the microwave within the room. The only bad side was the very short shower height. It was just 5 minutes outside of Marshall, right on 59 so the location was great. However you do hear a lot of highway noise because of that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for the price!"
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and service. Would stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was very clean. Air conditioner worked great! Pool was lovely. Clerk upgraded room from queen to king since rooms were available. Staff was all very friendly and answered all questions. We came from out of town and staff offered suggestions of places to eat. I would certainly recommend to a friend. Great hotel especially for such a low price.Genuine Expedia guest review
This motel seems to be new, is in good shape, desk lady was nice. Inside decor was fresh and up to date, all the basics. Pool was small but clean.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Recommended, BUT beware!"
The location of this hotel is merely just the otherside of the highway from higher star hotels, so for the location and the price it was great and quite convenient! 1 minute off Hwy. 20 and less than 10 minutes from what I guess would be considered their downtown. What I didn't like was the bed was hard, the pillows were flat and the bedding blankets […] and bath towels were paper thin. So one might say o.k., "well turn on the heat" if you were cold and that I did, but the heater was so noisy you then had to turn up the volume of the tv in order to hear it! Other loud noises to be aware of...my room was in the back area of the hotel, so not directly on the entrance road, but the heavy truck traffic sounds made it feel like my door facing off the service road all night long. Another "thin" element of the room...the walls! You hear when your neighbor takes their shower, what they are watching on TV, what they are saying and needless to say the intimacy level of their evening! All that said if you take "ear plugs" you will enjoy a 1/2 way decent nights rest because the room was clean and close to in proximity to the Hwy, restaurants, fast food, shopping and downtown for a fairly decent rate and friendly front desk staff. Oh yeah and loved the FREE wifi and refrigerator in the room too! Nice feature! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

My husband and I were just passing through and we were ready to rest and get back on the road early next morning. This hotel was the first hotel coming on 59 S from Houston very conveniant getting in and out of the hotel. The front desk was very friendly, the gentalman gave us directions to couple of resturants and that was very helpful. The rooms were very clean and newly remodled. Breakfast was great too. We had a wonderful experience.

I am a returning costumer. I had a great stay at this hotel in Marshall Texas. The staff was very helpful. The rooms very clean and bed was very comfortable. A very sweet lady that was working at the front desk named Reena helped us find a great place to have dinner. I will be returning to to this hotel when I'm in the area. Thank you for an excellent stay!!!

I booked this hotel for work . I was paying by the week ..well the day after I paid for the following week I got transferred to somewhere else so I asked for a reimbursement for the days I wouldn't be there they said no problem.. well after I was home a few days checked my account and instead of reimbursed I was charged for more days ..have called several times ...called corporate .. they said call the hotel ..they keep saying the manager is gone :( I don't like paying 500$ for two nights ...good luck

I was traveling with my family and we decided to stop at this hotel with a group of other families. I was welcomed very warmly, the staff was very kind and helpful. We were so pleased with the great service. Everything was very close by. The pool was very clean and my kids enjoyed swimming. WiFi connection was fast and very convenient. The breakfast was very good as well. I highly recommend this Super 8. Thank you for wonderful stay.
"Used our Wyndham points "
06/08/14 quecantemos Houston, Texas
We wanted to visit Marshall just to learn more about it and the area, and we needed to use our Wyndham points or we'd loose them. Super 8 was adequate, clean enough, quiet, and definitely comfortable. The office was friendly and helpful. We went for breakfast around 8 am and almost didn't have enough because a lot of truck drivers stay there, and eat a lot earlier, so just beware of that. It was on the south side of town and not very close to the places we wanted to see. However, since Marshall is a fairly small town, nothing is really far.
"Room was clean, poorly lit and sidewalks to office horrible..."

Room was clean, poorly lit and sidewalks to office horrible and too steep not only for the handicapped but those not use to climbing mountains. Receptionist on arrival was very good but in the morning awful. Dan Watkins

First of all the staff here was very friendly and accommodating, upgrading us to a handicapped room when told I had breathing problems. The location of the motel is good and the room was spacious and very quiet considering it is located on a busy highway. That said, the room could have used some attention. The carpet was worn and had a wrinkle running from the door hallway across the room. There was what appeared to be mold in the crevice between the bathtub and the plastic shower surround. We did find the bed to be comfortable. In it's defense, this room was quite a bit cheaper than the other motels in the area
"Don't believe the 5's"
01/18/14 RewardsCindy Tomball, Texas
Our room was clean & prepared however the security bar was broken on the door. The smoke alarm was broken. The toilet seat was crooked. The heater was an original & worked poorly. The walls were thin enough we could hear our neighbors conversation & at one point heard scratching or gnawing in the wall. Not sure if it was the neighbors or something 4 legged. We will never use this place again.

We decided to stay in an inexpensive hotel, it was late and all we needed was sleep. We booked the room on Hotwire with no difficulty. We read the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided this would fit our need perfectly. the review said it had been recently remodeled and clean. Check-in was fast and easy. The room remodeling was a TV on the wall and a cultured marble sink and everything else was very dated. The bed was to be a queen which turned out to be a double which meant a hard night sleep for my husband and I. If you want a value hotel this would do but you will get what you pay for.
