Things could have been worse, but our stay could have been much better also. The first room assigned to us had a clogged toilet. Staff was very acomodating in moving us to another room, but it had mold in the bathrrom. Neither my wife or I have a mold allergy, so we kept the room. But it wasn't a very good sight. Otherwise, the room was okay.

Second time staying in this location. Near to food, shopping, and my chess tournament--Meadowlark Senior Center. WiFi was good, free breakfast was the usual oatmeal and pastries. Staff were friendly and responded to all questions in a cheerful manner.

Thank goodness we booked through hotel.com and the rate was cheap or I would have looked for another motel to stay at. Arrived late hotel clerk handed me the key didn't tell me the room number. Said there was free Wi-Fi didn't give the password. The free breakfast and coffee were terrible. Ended up leaving to get coffee and breakfast every morning.

After reading some of the reviews, I expected a run down motel. I was pleasantly surprised by the well kept grounds, lobby and halls. My room was extremely large, clean and equiped with a coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and accomodating especially when I asked for extra towels. The free breakfast […] was more than adequate, Juice, coffee, toaster waffles, cereal, bagels, apples, pastries and yogurt. The area is great. It seemed that every restaurant you can think of was within a few blocks, as well as drug stores, grocery stores and walmart. Even Firestone was nearby and came in handy when my tire blew out. This was the worst Hotel. toilet would not flush. Told front desk, nothing was done. The first room they gave us smelled really bad, T.V. didn't work . They change the room, this room was not much better. Was not happy at all.

The room was missing towels. We had to ask 3 times for towels. Hours later my husband had to go down and have the manager physically open the dryer to get one towel out for him. The room was not cleaned when we got back from the next day. The trash cans were full and again we didn't have enough towels. I was only given one key as they didn't have anymore […] keys to give. The hotel reeked of smoke and stale beer. Room # 205 was written in ball point pen on the wall instead of having proper identification. Room 214 - checked in Sat PM. No A/C. Suffered thru the night. A/C not fixed Sunday by noon. Finally got another room about 2PM. There was 'someones' drink cap left on the dresser (in plain sight, could have been easily seen and removed). When I turned down the bed and pulled back the blanket, there was a long black hair lying on the sheet (half under […] the blanket, half out). The previous occupants used soap was still in the shower. The bathroom door handle/knob is loose (you can see the 'guts' inside). When I pulled the chair out from the desk there was a 'silver' disk on it (looked like something pulled off a juice bottle), and some kind of white flakes on the seat. When I took a picture of the silver thing, I saw the stain on the seat (which isn't visible to the necked eye)... someone's 'bio-hazard'? I was guaranteed a roll out couch for the guest. I didn't get it the first night. The only room available when I reserved the room was a smoking room. The odor of cigarettes was very strong. When I checked in they gave my room to someone else. I asked for non smoking, but they gave me smoking instead and told me they would switch me rooms the next morning. I told the desk clerk, that would be nice, but the damage will already be done! She didn't really seem to care.

This is not a luxury hotel by any means, but it was clean, I felt safe and the front desk clerk was very nice. They also offer a continental breakfast in the morning, which was a nice surprise - not much, but a nice quick way to get some coffee and cereal before you head out.

Chose this hotel because it was pet-friendly. Night desk guy was very friendly and helpful with checkin. Room was large, but the bathroom was TINY -- odd combination. I wasn't expecting much, considering it was the cheapest hotel I could find. The place was clean, the staff actually did their jobs, the room came with a few things like fridge/coffeepot/microwave without having to ask for them. All in all it was worth the money. The hotel is located off the main hwy in rio rancho so if that's what you need it is a good choice. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet and you could sleep with the window open. I requested 2 king non-smoking rooms, and was given 2 queen smoking rooms, was told nothing else was available. The whole facility smelled bad. There was no elevator to the second floor. When I went to the room it had not been cleaned (this was 1 am). Both rooms reaked of cigarette smoke.

At check-in we noticed that the room was not restocked with towels or even kleenex but was still "ready" for guests. We notified the clerk and left for the day. When we returned we still had no towels and was told they had a towel shortage. We went to the local k-mart and purchased a towel to use. I would recommend this hotel as being good value for the money.Nice quiet location close to main shopping centre & the room was a good size. Bed was big & comfy. Very clean. 1 little complaint was the toilet paper was that thin cheap nasty stuff.
