This is very clean and comfortable motel. Convenient to many great eating places, a shopping center, grocery store, several good restaurants, a beautiful RV park. Near Kemah Boardwalk (& miles), Galveston beaches (22 miles). the only downside was a skimpy choice for the Continental Breakfast. But then again the prices made up for it, besides great breakfasts are nearby. The rooms were clean, quiet location. Rooms well equipped. This is closer to a 5 star motel than it is a 2 star motel. Someone is really missing the boat here. I stayed at a pricier motel the night before, what a joke, old fashioned TV with fuzzy picture, not much in the way of amenities

I decided to stay an extra night after a concert in Houston, so I chose this hotel because it was cheap, and partways between Houston and Galveston. It was about 20 minutes in either direction, which was perfect for me, and there were plenty of things in driving distance - food, gas, Kemah Boardwalk, a mall. My only real complaints were that I was on the second floor and there was no elevator, only stairs, which when it was 2 in the morning and I had a HUGE bag sucked. There was also no wifi in the room, though I'm not sure if there was supposed to be or not. I thought I saw a computer in the front lobby, but it's not the same. Overall, it was good for being so cheap, but next time I'll probably find somewhere with wifi.

The clerk's working were not friendly at all. The indoor pool is more like a puddle. The boys were not allowed to even jump into the deep area without being threaten by the front desk. I know it is hot but the room never cooled down until the next morning. Not to mention the smells of the room and the aroma of the food cooking in the hallway. We will not stay here again, never.

The rooms were clean, but there were not enough electrical outlets, and the ones in the room were overloaded or without a cover. The towels were small and very, very thin. The rooms are not very sound-proof, and the doors closing in the hallway make a thunderous noise. For the money, it was ok. I would only recommend it if the person understood that the afore mentioned problems.

Yes, the paint was fresh almost everywhere. So were the 5 gallon buckets of paint stored in a stairwell. The religious medallion over the main door and in the tile at the front desk was interesting. Desk clerk @ checkin was very helpful, and he did send me to some great chinese (888) down the hiway 2 miles. I would not recommend this hotel for women traveling alone. I don't usually feel it necessary to triple lock while sitting in the room in daytime and find a way to bar the window. Here, I had that little tickle on the back of my neck... The doors other than the lobby are all marked that you must use keycard to enter. Unfortunately they were never secured, and the man at the front desk when I mentioned it just smiled.

We had no problems at this hotel. We checked in about an hour early and our room had just been cleaned. We chose a smoking room even though we don't smoke because it was cheaper. The room was clean with no smoke smell. Everything worked fine in the room (TV, toilet, bathtub). The indoor pool and hot tub were a plus. They were both clean and refreshing. Will consider this hotel again.

I was very impressed at the quality of the hotel and room. I got much more for the cost of the room than I expected to. The pool area was very nicely dectorated. The room was very sufficient and clean. I would definately recommend to anyone. Families or business. Only drawback was some of the other residents were noisy, but the staff addressed the issue when I called the desk.

I knew that this hotel was not a 4 star when I booked it, however, I did expect it to be clean. It was disgusting. It smelled like mildew and when I picked up the phone to use it, nearly dropped it, it was so nasty. We requested a non-smoking room and did receive one. However, every room around it was smoking. It literally smelled like people were blowing smoke under our door. When we went to check out about 3 hours before the required checkout we literally had people at the door waiting to clean.

This is one of the few Super 8 hotels that I didn't like. Imagine a gloomy hotel, that has the smell of cigarettes, wet carpet, and sex, masked by the strong odor of Pinesol. Nothing looked clean, not the pool, not the hot tub, not the carpet, not the beds, not the sheets and the towels felt like sandpaper. No elevator. They really should rip out all the carpet in that entire building because it smells wet, and smokey like cigarettes. The staff was very helpful, courteous and nice. The hotel is a bit of a one-night stand type of place. That's the only reason I could imagine someone voluntarily staying there. Considering the area, I'd choose somewhere else to stay.
