except for the evening check-in clerk, the stay was overall good. Clerk was unavailable, and then cold to the guests. Morning clerk was great. Cleaning staff were in the way in the morning, cleaning lobby and dining area while guest were trying to enjoy their breakfast or check out. Room was great. Definitely would stay again.

The hotel location was great with easy access to downtown Columbus without being in town. The hotel is also located about halfway between the racino on the eastside and the casino on the westside....Perfect.

Took the wife a kids for the weekend and the hotel was fine. This was my first time at a La Quinta and I was stay again. The rooms were affordable and an upgrade to a suite was only $15 per night. We had a family emergency (death and subsequent funeral), and stayed at this hotel mostly because we have stayed there before and found it to be clean, reasonably priced, and comfortable. Nice hotel but I never saw anyone at the front desk. The room was also very humid. The air conditioner worked but we felt damp and sticky while we were trying to sleep. We arrived at around 10 pm on July 3, tired and ready to rest. The front desk clerk was on what appeared to be a personal laptop computer, and simply stared blankly at us when we approached the desk. I finally said "we are checking in" and he got up and started looking up the reservation. Towards the end of the 5 minute interaction he perked up but […] I doubt that La Quinta wants this type of person welcoming guests. Honestly it was a real turn off. Enjoyed the stay, however, the clerk was in the back room when we arrived and took a while to come out. Later, we left the room and upon return we noticed another couple standing n the lobby looking for the clerk to register them. He had a very dry and unpersonal attitude.

We stayed during black out, power outage time. Many people were switching hotels from ones who lost power, but this hotel had power and running their business in calm and professinal manner. Swimming pool and spa were clean, sauna was a plus. very close to all dining area, easy to get food. Had little pet odor, but not bad if you like animals.

We arrived later in the evening and the check-in went smoothly. In fact, upon noticing I was holding a box of cereal, the employee asked if I needed anything. I explained that I am expecting and really wanted to eat a bowl of my cereal before bed. He then very quickly got me bowls, spoons, a partial jug of milk, and even a few bananas. He was so helpful […] and went out of his way to make me happy. We had to check out early the next morning, but for the short time we were there, we found the room affordable, clean and comfortable, the breakfast nice, and the service great! This was our second stay at a La Quinta Inn. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The building construction must be solid because, even though the parking lot was full and we were within earshot of a major freeway, you could not hear any of the other guests in adjoining rooms or outside noise. Also, most likely because this hotel […] is non-smoking facility, the room, bedding, etc., smelled fresh and did not have any of the unpleasant odors we have experienced at other places. The gentlemen at the desk when we checked in was so helpful and so nice. We came to see Johnny Mathis at the Ohio Theatre, only about 10 minutes away. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Very clean room and very comfortable beds. Again the staff was very helpful and nice.
