Toilet seat - broken, bathroom door - broken. Cigarette smell crept into our room from downstairs. Thankfully, we had a one night stay and just needed a spot to lay our heads...plus the windows opened. Fresh air!

Overall it was good. the door to our room was off to where we had to pick it up to close it, if not the door would not shut. the bathroom walls were disgusting and the shower was mildewy. Other than that, the personnel was friendly, courteous & prompt when anything was requested.

Overall stay was OK. Staff was friendly. Room was fine. Only complaint was not having the toilet bowl cleaned for the 5 days I was there. Room and rest of bathroom was clean. Never did see anyone from the cleaning staff to let them know. Let someone at the desk know so hopefully this was rectified for the next traveler.

All the smoking rooms are on the first floor so all the smoke filters up to the non-smoking rooms on the second floor. There is no elevator in this hotel. My bad back really objected to the stairs. As America ages and more seniors travel, no elevator seems like a bean-counters bad decision. There is no bell hop service so dragging bags up stairs isn't […] something I want to do. My wheelchair bound friend who is allergic to smoke certainly wouldn't stay here with no way to get to a non-smoking room. The contential breakfast consists of waffles, coffee, tea, cold cereal, and awful pre-packages sweet rolls. No bagels, cream cheese, peanut butter. All the smoking rooms were on the first floor so all the smoke wafted upstairs and permeated the non-smoking rooms. The entire hotel smelled of cigarette smoke. Also, for those of us that have bad backs, no elevator to the non-smoking rooms was very painful especially since there are no bell-hops to carry my bags up the stairs. I had to lower the level of my review due to the hotel being somewhat grimy and in dire need of updating. It was clean but old looking. The general service was ok BUT....they knocked on my door at 8am the first morning with a key or something loud and woke me up after a very late night. I did not appreciate it at all as i was staying 2 nights and did […] not expect to have to put a do not disturb on my door. WAY too early!!! I have never had a hotel try to roust me that early. On my next night, also very late bedtime, I put the do not disturb on, but with the very loud knocking on all the doors at 8am again, was woken up. They were also vacuuming the hallways by 8:15. As far as having a place to lay your head down at night it is OK. The room was clean. However, when we checked in we were waiting at the front desk for nearly a minute while the young lady behind the desk continued to do her makeup. After which she replied with some attitude "Sorry, but I was doing my girl thing." It was very obvious at that point this […] place was not service oriented. My father has a difficult time walking and it was only at the time of checking in did we find out that there is NO elevator in the hotel. Which made it difficult for him to get up and down the stairs. I can't remember when I last stayed at a place that didn't have an elevator, so when I double checked with the girl behind about the availabiltiy of an elevator or getting a room on the first floor she once again had attitude and hastily provided directions on how to get to our room. They offer coffee and some continental breakfast items from 6:am to 9:am every morning and if you see there is no coffee they are quick to make fresh. It was fair. A place to sleep. There were no sheets or pillows for the sofa bed - front desk said they were out of sheets! The pillows were as flat as pancakes. You get what you pay for and next time I'll pay more to stay somewhere else.

This is the first review of this type I've written, but I want to make sure others don't make the same mistake I did. The hotel looks like it has not been updated on the inside since the early 1980s and the inside of the rooms are pretty appalling (not to mention the trashy looking people hanging around the lobby). Initially, I got a smoking room, […] but I had to request a non-smoking room because the smell was overwhelming and really disgusting (this is a smoker telling you this, so you know it's bad). Additionally, the coffee maker was broken. The second room I got was a little better, but the bathroom had a very strong smell of urine. Also, the TV remote did not work and the pillows on the bed were pathetic. Also I noticed a wooden bar in the windowsill, which indicated to me that they had had problems with break-ins. The hotel is not expensive, but for the price paid, I expect something at least decent and in reasonable condition. I cannot recommend strongly enough choosing another hotel in the area. I only stayed one night, but if I had planned to stay longer, there's no doubt I would have gone to one of the other hotels in the area. Read more

The bed was very comfortable. The room was ok in a pinch for a couple nights. There was an blue piece of candy on the floor under the desk and it remained there both nights. The chairs were on the not so clean side, so for the price it would do. I would stay elsewhere next time and pay a bit more, though.
