We really liked San Pedro Inn & Suites. It was perfect for our over-night stay before our cruise. The price that we paid for the room was a good value. The staff was friendly. We were suprised that such a good breakfast was included in the price of our room.
Location.
This Los Angeles hotel is 1 mile from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and 1.4 miles from the Capitol Records Tower. The Kodak Theater is 2 miles away, and the Hollywood sign is about 5 miles from the hotel.

"Super 8 Motel - Hollywood/L.A. Area"
Off street parking was a plus, room really for large vehicles unless you get there early. Hallways were recently painted to there was a fresh paint smell. Room was clean for a cheap LA hotel. Windows kept out all the noise and it was very close to the major highways so great for road tripping.

"simple place close to Hollywood"
It's not amazing, but everything you need is there for the price. Apart from noisy rooms on the floor on one WE night it was generally quiet. The neighborhood is a bit gloomy but the parking place is close to the hotel.

Quality of the Hotel Is very much Poor condition. Very small Room Size, Very old Appliences. No cable cunncetion in the TV. Tv Must be 25 years old. No internet connection as they promissed. The worse holel i ever been, and i don't recomend to anyone.

"Very bad hotel"
This places is bad , ugly , dirty, old, the bathroom had ants the told us that it was about 3 miles from universal studios and its not true its far about 6 miles I could spend 20 dollars more and get somthing much better.The pictures that hotel.com shows Its definitely not the hotel I stayed
The location is great but the rooms are tiny, the lady at the front desk was rude, and the breakfast was poor quality.

"Super 8- Close to Metro, clean and cheap"
It's not one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Nowhere close. But it's clean, they have a decent, simple breakfast-I was happy with their cereal, yoghurt and oatmeal-it was clean, the service was good, friendly and helpful. "Simple and Affordable"
I am a native of los angeles and I come back about 2x a month to visit my parents. Super 8 hollywood beats staying on my folks couch. it is not the Four Seasons, but for $70 bucks, its central to my family and my friends. If you're visiting simply to sleep,shower and shave, This is a good pick.

"Nice, clean and friendly"
This was a nice hotel, it was clean, quiet and in a great location for what we went for. The only negative comment i have is the quality of the mattress. It was super hard and I was very glad to get home and get a good night's sleep.

If you need a room that is near the metro to get into the main part of hollywood blvd, this will do. There was a smoke detector hanging from the ceiling with some wires exposed. However everything else was fine and like I said, we just wanted a bed that was close to hollywood blvd.

The hotel locality looked pretty shady....also there is a bar on the street just next to the hotel which makes it pretty insecure to be there......also the carpets in the lobby are the dirtiest carpet i have ever seen........even the bed covers looked very dirty like they have never been washed for ages......the complimentary breakfast is a waste......i […] asked the lady on the reception to refill the donuts and muffins and she told me they are running out of it and it was still 1 hr remaining for the breakfast to get over.......and after like 15 min she comes up with some stuff because now there were lot of people asking for it.....overall i would never recommend anybody to stay in this hotel............ "perfect for the walk of fame"
This hotel met our needs. It fit in our budget and was as close to the Rose Parade as we could get on the short notice we had. The convenience to the walk of fame and Hollywood attractions was a perfect added bonus. It's small, but all we did was sleep there so who cares. The parking lot was small. "bathroom clogged, carpet dirty"
lots of issues with this hotel, 1. the toilet flush was not working, so we had to take two small buckets and pour water into the flush after every use, 2. the carpet is extremely dirty 3. The door access was not working 4. Overall, dirtiest hotel, better not go here.
"Not a very secure place, old building, tiny rooms"
It was quick, since there weren't too many customers at that time we checked in. But there seems to be this one guy who was NOT a customer (looked like a beggar and intimidating) and he argued with the front desk clerk and went in with out permission. But since I've already pre-paid for the hotel, I had no other choice but to continue to stay. The rooms weren't the best, they were very small (we took a queen size room) and not well lit (and we were on the 3rd floor!). Breakfast was OK. Parking spots are very very tight! The only plus point is - it is relatively close to Universal Studios (4 - 5 miles) and few other places. "Gross but good location"
Tiny, tiny, tiny, gross room but the location was pretty good. One block off Sunset & Hollywood Blvds, close to all the tourist sights. The lobby and the exterior of the motel was decievingly nice looking, but the room was as big as a shoe box and dirty. The lobby is big and clean and has a huge crystal chandilier. "Blood on the ceiling"
Pretty sure there was blood on the wall in the bathroom. Ants and roaches, stains on everything, and a A/C unit that sounded like a jet engine.

This place is terrible. They parking suxs, there is only compact car parking and that is small too. The sheets were dirty and stained. There is no customer service either. Front desk is rude. Dont stay here.

The only thing good about this was the location. The front desk person was rude. When I first checked in, the room they gave me had not been cleaned. So they gave me another room with a king size bed. On my last night there, after staying one week, the front desk lady tells me that I shouldn't have a king size that i paid for a queen. She accused as […] if I did something wrong. At the end of her telling me all of this she asked if I was staying longer and I said that was my last night. "NEEDS IMPROVEMENT - BUT GREAT LOCATION"
The room was ok, but the maid service was not good. They didnt vacuum daily or give enough towels daily. The continental breakfast was not very good at all. They had old doughnuts. The room key cards would need constant resetting.

The location and the surrounding area is great. Near all the tourist places like 'walk of fame', kodak theater, beverly hills, hollywood sign etc. Interior sucks. Corridors are smoke filled. Rooms are cramped. Toilets not very clean.

hotel was nice and clean, rooms were well maintained, a little small but nice. The hotel was as central as you could get to hollywood boulevard with great price, Close to metro so easy to get around also free parking for guests.

Decent little hotel if you're just after the basics to lay your head and have a shower. Our bathroom needs some maintenance and the breakfast was held in the lobby which made it a bit cramped. Based on the price it was OK though.

Conveniently located for Hollywood Boulevard, 15 -20 min walk. however completely different area after dark. Hotel furnishing/ areas a little tired, but equally was a great price. Close to lots of eating/take aways, conveniently lcoated for pharmacy/supermarket etc Would stay here agin if on a budget and not travelling alone
