The Hotel was nice and comfortable. This Hotel was very clean, nice and had the things that people could use in their rooms. They supplied a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, microwave, a little refridergator, and a coffee pot. I thought that was nice to have in the rooms for their guest. The thing that I liked the most was it was really close to the Army Base. I just want to say that yes I would stay there again if I every was to be in Kentucky again. The only bad thing I can say is the towels need to be bigger, and have more towels in the rooms.

Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 26, 2009
The hotel switched to non-smoking sometime ago, so all rooms are listed as "non-smoking." But all they did is take the smoking rooms and hang non-smoking room signs on them. They still stink, really badly, of smoking. I asked to have a changed room but they couldn't do it. It wasn't a dealbreaker b/c the location was good and we already paid for it. But it was rotten smelling; we had to buy candles to try and mask it.

Reviewed by Jennifer of Terre Haute on May 2, 2008
So I decided to get a hotel close to the Army Base for the Family Day Ceremony in Ft. Knox because I didn't want to drive the rest of the way into Louisville that same day. I had already been driving for almost 5 hours with 2 small children in the car and another adult. If I would have known how much this place needs torn down and rebuilt I would have never stayed. Out of the two rooms we reserved, one room was twice as big as the other for the same price, and the one that was bigger smelt like a dirty diaper or vomit. So we asked for a different room. Why pay the same price for 2 different size rooms? Any way...next time, I will just keep driving to the next hotel an hour away! Just because it's closer doesn't mean it's better.

It is a very basic motel with older decor and could have used some updating. It didn't feel very inviting but was somewhat clean. The complimentary breakfast was not much, bagels, a couple boxed cereals, etc. We would not stay there for more than the night. We were just passing through and that was good enough. The surrounding area didn't have much in the form of entertainment. We ended up driving over 10 miles to find dinner.

The motel is close to Fort Knox. The bed was rock hard and needed new sheets and blanket. The shampoo was open and half used when I walked into the room. The towels were like sandpaper. The staff was great and really cared. The hotel was quiet.
