Super 8 Motel - Spearfish - Spearfish 44.47471, -103.8094

I would have rated the hotel better if the lady behind the counter was nicer. There were two younger girls at the front counter, but an older one, maybe management, was also there and was rude. Butted into conversations, jumped all over us when we asked why we were given a smoking room, just not welcoming at all. The airconditioner did not cool the room, the baseboards in the halls were missing, but all in all not bad for the rate. Okay breakfast- bagels, doughnuts, cereal, waffles, coffee, juices- just gets very crowded with seats filling up fast.

Good breakfast for price. Friendly efficient staff. Pool is indoors with retractable roof so it has a nice indoors/outdoorsy feel to it. It was kept at a nice temp. We were on the third floor with no elevator, but after initially carrying up luggage it wasn't too bad. All the rooms surround the pool so it can be noisy at times. But the pool closure at 10:00 was enforced.

I have always been more than satisfied with staying at Super 8 in Spearfish, this time they had construction going on so it was a bit noisier then usual.

everything was ok with the hotel itself, except,they did not inforce the time on the hotel pool and we didn't get to sleep'until midnight or so. the pool was to close at 10.00 pm and the other guest played around the pool very loudly i might add until 12.00am. even thou we asked for late check out when booking, we could not get one. Very disappointed there due t business we were there for.

It was very nice. The paperwork was all done and minimal check in time. The people were nice and the room was nice anc clean. The price was great too. Spearfish is a wonderful place to visit.

This hotel was clean, but not in a great location. When we asked the staff what kind of things we could do in the town of Spearfish, they didn't have any suggestions except to say we should go somewhere outside of town. The breakfast was a bit scant, just cereal, packaged oatmeal, tasteless donuts, and some toast. There were no pastries, fruit, or egss of any kind (at least another hotel we stayed at the same trip had hard-boiled eggs). The first floor of this hotel is actually partly downstairs, but they didn't have an elevator, so we had to hand carry our luggage, and had to help my 80+ year old parents with theirs. We went next door to try the Fiesta Cancun restaurant, but it was closed (at dinner time) with no explanation.

The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and the pool was a plus. The continental breakfast is good, nothing real special but some good food. The ladies at the desk were polite.

i was very happy with my stay at the hotel. second time we've stayed there actually. the place was great for the price.

Hotel itself is nice and well worth the money. Clean and comfortable. Only complaint is that other guests partied loudly in the pool/common area and kept me up until after 1am.

I stayed at this hotel while travelling west in I-90. I used it primarly as a sleeping location while passing through and it was conveniently located with easy access off of and onto I-90. The staff was helpful and the room was of good size.
