Our stay was great until our last day 4/30/12 Monday morning there was no hot water. I told the front desk and was not offered any options. A free notes stay or offer to shower in another room would have been appreciated. There were many open rooms that nite so it could have easily been offered.

Overall we had a great stay here and would use Candlewood Suites again. The only complaint about the room is that I could not find an exhaust fan in the bathroom and it was needed. I had to open the bathroom door to let out the steam from the shower.

Room was very clean and comfortable; soundproofing was excellent. There were several wedding receptions going on, and we didn't hear anything. Only complaint is that our 2 queen-sized beds weren't queens, they were closer to full-sized. Fine for our 21-month old daughter, not so good for Mommy and Daddy.

The people that I had contact with were exceptional in helpfulness and friendliness. We were very happy with our stay and interaction with staff.

THE MANAGERS WERE FRIENDLY, EFFICIENT AND HELPFUL. I ENJOYED OUR STAY IN THIS SUPER 8 IN WINTERSET. THE ROOM AND IT'S APPOINTMENTS WERE CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE AND EVERYONE WAS KIND AND FRIENDLY. I WILL GO BACK LATER THIS YEAR AND EXPECT TO STAY AT THE SUPER 8 AGAIN.

Honestly we were looking for something in Des Moines, but the entire city was booked, so there we were at 11 pm, exhausted from a long day's drive, and we found that this place in Winterset had an opening. It was hard to find! We must have gotten the last room because by the time we got there, at midnight, the place had No Vacancy signs up. We didn't […] exactly get the warmest of welcomes, but the guy must have been exhausted and we probably woke him up. He just sorta handed us a key and pointed us upstairs. The next morning we were all cheerier, and he was perfectly nice. The room was clean and comfortable, and we felt safe. Good place to spend the night. Read more

Very good -- Bill had a room with some dis-repair but he made the price right with us and we were very happy with it -- he made the stay pleasant -- room was quiet and fit our needs nicely
