The only complaint I have is for a non-smoking room it smelled like some one had been smoking in there. other than that it was a good stay for me.

We chose the Super 8 since it was the only hotel in town. I have never stayed in one before and did not know what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised by the accommodations: clean room, good shower, new and firm mattresses. The manager was pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again.

My stay in Winterset was the absolute best because of the exceptional customer service myself, husband and young son had received. The people that work at this Super 8 really go the distance to make your stay a pleasant one. I loved it soooooo much that I am definitely going back in the spring. Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

This was the only room available within 50 miles of where we wanted to stay because of the Farm Progress Show. It turned out a blessing because we saw various local sights we would not have otherwise seen, i.e. John Wayne Museum, the covered bridges of Madison County and the Fons & Porter Quilt Shop.

We had a very pleasant evening and the staff were great. The room was very clean, and no problems with anything whatsoever.. If it weren't for the rain, we would have liked to check out the covered bridges that were there that the staff told us about. Overall, great place to stay.

I was at your hotel to spend a few nights to see the Covered Bridges with my sisters. Everyone was very, very nice to us and pleasant. Even with the mix up with the rates, they resolved the problem and all was good. Upon arrival to our room, our bathroom light went out, they came right away to put in a new bulb, I needed an iron and ironing board, and […] they let me use that as long as needed. I would have rated this hotel a total 5 except for the beds. They were WAY too soft. Had a bad backache the next day for the 5 hour drive ahead of us. Otherwise a very nice hotel that was in the middle of a beautiful landscape.

THE MANAGERS WERE FRIENDLY, EFFICIENT AND HELPFUL. I ENJOYED OUR STAY IN THIS SUPER 8 IN WINTERSET. THE ROOM AND IT'S APPOINTMENTS WERE CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE AND EVERYONE WAS KIND AND FRIENDLY. I WILL GO BACK LATER THIS YEAR AND EXPECT TO STAY AT THE SUPER 8 AGAIN.

Honestly we were looking for something in Des Moines, but the entire city was booked, so there we were at 11 pm, exhausted from a long day's drive, and we found that this place in Winterset had an opening. It was hard to find! We must have gotten the last room because by the time we got there, at midnight, the place had No Vacancy signs up. We didn't […] exactly get the warmest of welcomes, but the guy must have been exhausted and we probably woke him up. He just sorta handed us a key and pointed us upstairs. The next morning we were all cheerier, and he was perfectly nice. The room was clean and comfortable, and we felt safe. Good place to spend the night. Read more
