I didn't expect much, but this place is comically bad. The floor in the room was not vacuumed, the sheets had stains on them, the pillows were like hard pancakes, the list goes on and on. This hotel appears to be family run, and everyone was friendly and the service excellent.I overslept one morning, and had fallen asleep with work papers and such strewn across the room .When I rushed out the door, I had meant to place the "do not disturb" sign up so housekeeping wouldn't go in. This was a fairly good value. I was looking for a cheap, clean place and this describes it. The breakfast was mediocre, but whadda ya expect? The waffle turned very mushy when syrup applied and no "real" butter was available, though they did have half & half (another common cost cutting item).

This hotel is a good example of when people just stop trying. The service was nice but that is about the only positive point I can give. Everything in the hotel looked like it hadn't been updated since the 90s. The room had not been swept upon our arrival. The bathroom grout was dirty. It was a smoking room and we had asked for a non-smoking room but clerk stated that there were none available. Smelled horrible (good thing the smelling sense quits after about 1/2 hour). One bed was off of its frame.

-DIRTY BEDDING(Hair in my bed upon arrival) -DIRTY TOWELS -UNFRIENDLY/UNHELPFUL STAFF -TOILET DOES NOT FLUSH -DOORS DONT LOCK -UNCLEAN,UNCLEAN,UNCLEAN -LOUD -NO SLEEPING HERE! Upon arrival staff was not very friendly at all. I got to room and bed had looked slept in, it was like the bedspread just got pulled over sheets. pulled back sheets and there […] was hair all over them. GROSS! Called front desk asked for new sheets. When he got to room his response was " I don't know what happened." The next night in room next door there was a party going on starting with loud music and then the fighting began at about 2 am things being thrown and screaming LOUD. Doors slamming repeatedly. I tried to call front desk for assistance but the gentleman that works nights does not speak english. He thought I was asking for a wake up call... This went on till 6 am. Then room next door passed out and had the nerve to put the do not disturb sign on the outside of their door... REALLY... In the morning I went to the man that seems to run the super 8 and his response was " I can't help that people are loud and going to do that sort of thing." I read a previous review of this motel that the lobby and first floor smells strong of curry.. It really does. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO PARTY AND NOT GET SLEEP AND POSSIBLY HEAD LICE OR WORSE FROM BEDDING THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! I usually dont do reviews but, this place was very disgusting. Hotel was nice, clean, decent part of Joliet. Check-out was at 11am. At 11:01 (I checked my phone), Management was banging on our door, Yelling it was time to check out. I have always injoyed my stays at Super 8 in the past, but after this stay I may not in the future, 4:00 am the peope in the room upstairs were jumping and pounding like they wanted to jump throught the floor and if that was not bad enought they woke the baby in the rom next to us so than we had to listen to crying for a hour. I caled and conplained […] and they said they talked to them and the other guest were calling to, but it did not to seem to work, because it continued for about another hour after that, they asked if we anted to change rooms, but I was not changing we got in a 3:00am I told them they need to be moved to the first floor by empty rooms. This was the worst time I ever had at Super 8 and we always stay at Super 8. The worst thing is for bad feedback, because most people only conplane if it is a bad time. Checked for bed bugs didn't see any but seemed to feel them all night! Holes in wallpaper, chairs, mattresses, grout missing in bathroom. Just poor maintenance all around. Owners were nice just didn't expect a big name like super 8 to allow such poor conditions.

Good for a budget overnight stay. Convenient to interstate, but not noisey. Extra large room. Mattress barely passable and furniture in need to replacing. Room was clean as well as bathroom. Minimal cold breakfast but for the price appropriate.

The clerk at the counter didn't even look up at us when we checked in. Then after getting the first room and finding that the air conditioner didn't work, we were instructed that we probably weren't setting it correctly. When something turns on and then off after 10 seconds, I don't think it's a user malfunction.
