I often go to this Super 8 when in YK. It's not as fancy as the Explorer but it's well maintained. Good only if you have a vehicle as it is located near the box stores, not downtown.

This motel was pretty good. Especially, breakfast was good. However, this motel was far from downtown. We should use car to go to the downtown alwasys.

I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay, and particularly enjoyed the breakfast. Things like this are of course what I enjoy hearing. It is encouraging and shows me that we are doing things correct. You are correct in terms of the distance to downtown. Generally speaking however this does not usually pose a problem as Yellowknife is such a small city. But of course, to some, like you it was a little out of the way. Most of our guests do however enjoy the amenities that are just steps away from our front doors. Again, I thank you very much for your words and I do hope you will stay with us again in the future.

As before I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, location is great, quiet place (although there were some drunks from the north there). Rooms are always nice and clean and beds are comfortable.

Hotel is beside a Tims and shopping area that includes Wall Mart. We were able to walk down town via a trail around the lake close by. The hotel is probably the first one you would get when coming in from the airport.
