For the price, the Super 8 St. Augustine was exactly what I expected. It's very close to the interstate, but a little far from the local attractions, and there are no decent restaurants nearby. This place was FILTHY. The toilet didn't flush, the room smelled like it had been underwater for a year. We stopped for a few hours to rest our heads before finishing our LONG trip to Orlando (from Delaware). The room was quite outdated. We only slept approximately 5 hours. I am quite certain there were bed bugs and I had bites on me the following morning. It smelled like that room had not been cleaned in years. It was disgusting and outdated and I will NEVER stay here again. We slept with the lights on.

It was OK. At best. The bathtub once had a hole in it that they had plastered closed with a bunch of plaster and caulk. There was a huge crack in the ceiling that looked like it was spreading and the ceiling was brown. They are supposed to be smoke free but the room smelled horrible. The staff was great!! Especially gracie at check in, very helpful!! Ty gracie!! My only conplaint if the hotel is that there was an unpleasant odor of dog throughout the hotel and we did not have a micro fridge or miceowave in the room. Overall the hotel was worth the money. :)

If you just need a place to stay overnight and a bed to sleep in, this is the place. What you pay is what you get. They tried their best to upgrade the place but with a lousy paint job I can't even get the bathroom door to close. Lots of people go in and out of the place. The room was actually pretty clean, but I think for many people it would be hard to tell since everything is so run down at this hotel, that it is hard to make look clean. It is obvious to me that the ownership/management of this hotel is trying not to spend money on this property at all. When I checked in, the clerk "was out of maps" so she drew me […] a quick sketch of where to find my room. She gave me my card keys in a plain white envelope instead of the little printed folder most hotels/motels use. All this said, I was ok with the room for the price since it was the most affordable hotel available by a significant margin. Here is the deal breaker though: There are multiple entrances to the hotel. I used two different ones to get to my room, and it freaked me out to see that neither entrance is locked. Other hotels/motels have locks & the card readers. Not this place. Anyone can come in and wander around. This is pretty scary. If someone gets attacked, this place would certainly get sued and deserve to lose. Read more

It did the trick for a few guys going to the Daytona 500. It isn't really that clean, and the hotel ran out of towels and pillows even though it definitely did not seem to be booked. It was super bad experience, we reached late night and there is no security. front desk even dont keep you inside. Receptionist said she don't feel secure to open reception room. once we went in room it was horrible..lot of noise from other rooms. not felt secure.. no lights working proper..beds are like 40 yrs old..

I read a lot of negative reviews about this hotel and all I can say is you can't pay beer money and expect to get champagne. BE REALISTIC.
