when we pulled into parking lot, not very well lit and unkept looking. Not at all what the website showed. There were people sitting outside their rooms with the doors open. Made me wonder, was the AC working?! Proceeded around hotel looking for a place to park our truck and trailer....was none. The back half of the hotel looked like it was not even being used. Needless to say, we ate the $100.00 for the bill and never went in to check in. I did not feel safe or comfortable sleeping there let alone having my vehicle parked in the parking lot.

I've seen some negative reviews of this motel, but did not experience any of those things. The room was clean and very comfortable and looked just great. Even though the building was older it didn't feel that way, aside from the look of the outdoor staircases, which was very minor. Basically I was surprised at how comfortable it all was for the low price, and the staff was very nice, even giving me a courtesy call when I got up to the room.

Bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast was nice, good variety. But the carpet in the room and the upholstered chair were filthy and stained. Definitely needed some cleaning.

The stay was quite nice - we were only there one night but had we had more time would have spent more time in the pool with the grandkids and just relaxed - rooms were quite well furnished - microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker and blow dryer - the breakfast was good but would like to suggest a few more fruit choices - seemed to be a lot of carbs in the food choices for breakfast.

The hotel hadn't turned on it's air conditioning yet. Hot and uncomfortable that we ended up leaving 2 days early. That's the downside of pre-paying. Front desk manager was helpful upon check-in. Maid service - not so much having to ask to washcloths and towels.

Pool was awesome, beautiful inside architecture and theme. Room was adequate, but would have liked wifi in room. Staff harried but helpful; had to request towels multiple times and had to wait for them to be laundered, but did get them. Breakfast was typical but good.

This hotel is mediocre at best. Carpets and furniture desperately need to be replaced. The gym pictured is NOT the gym that is On the premises. Equipment in gym is old and limited. Continental breakfast is ok. This place is more like a 35-45 dollar a night hotel on its best day.

Was amazed at the condition of our room. Overall would have to say it was run down and dirty. The carpet was extremely worn. The bathroom was dirty and there was mold on the panel over the door.The room seemed very dated. On the other hand, the front desk personnel were helpful and friendly. The pool area was well maintained but the bathrooms in the pool are were filthy dirty.

This was a great hotel, close to the location we were traveling to. The price was reasonable. The decor was cute with it's Louisiana feel. The pool was clean and tiki bar had good prices. The rooms were clean and staff was friendly.

Our room was directly off of the pool area. It was older and somewhat dirty. At 10:30 there were still kids screaming and adults partying making it impossible to sleep. The front desk wouldn't do anything. We asked to move rooms and were given a room that smelled of extreme body odor and the floor was filthy. The room next door was also having a very loud party. Our third room wasn't as filthy but still dirty. At least it was quiet. Our romantic couples night ruined. Next time I'll spend the money and sleep somewhere CLEAN and QUIET. Do not go here if you want to relax!!!

This Howard Johnsons is the old Holiday Inn. Its been a long standing Motel in Burlington. In the late 70's they built a dome over the swimming pool area (the Holidome). Since then this Motel has been the hot spot to throw weekend parties. The pool area closes now at 10pm, so it quiets down around 10:30. The exterior rooms are quiet. The Motel is a little run down. The trim and door jams could use a paint job. The beds were comfortable. The TV gets most stations as every other Motel TV. If you are not picky about the looks, this is a cheap convient place to stay.

The hotel staff at counter was not welcoming and complained and insisted I only get the room she put in. We were on an exterior room with no knowledge other than accessing the pool area through the from door. Also knowledge of anything or how to get anywhere was unanswered due to her having no knowledge. We were ignored for long periods of time because her phone call with her boyfriend was more important then helping us on two different days. Also whoever cleaned the room the first night had stolen some of our snack food.

Staff was very accomdating but room was very dirty. We checked out of the hotel early and manager authorized reimbursement from Hotels.com even though there was a no cancellation policy. Beds were comfortable and the pool, hot tub, breakfast, miniature golf and pool tables would be a nice touch if had a family was staying there. Would be a nice place if the room was cleaner.

The room is by far the worst room I have ever stayed in, in my life. The entire room was filthy. The floor turned the bottom of our feet black as shoe polish. There was snot blown all over the window curtain. The room stunk of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The bathroom stunk as well, and the shower curtain was dirty as well. It looked as thought the room had not been cleaned in over a year. The only clean thing in the room, at least it was not noticeably dirty, was the bedding. I would never stay in this hotel again, and may never stay in a Howard Johnson again. You could not pay me to stay in it!!!!

The hotel on the outside looks shady - but there are room on the inside if the hotel which was a relief. The pools were nice, we have a 21 month old so we webt in the kiddie pool. It was 1'3" and closed off from the others so we didn't have to worry. The kiddie pool needed to be cleaned, it didn't seem like it had a filter. The hotel was quiet and for the purpose of our stay, it was fine.

The hotel was nice on the front side but still needed work. The back of the hotel looked like a run down ghetto. The back door was always proped open so the security is not good at all. The rooms were decent around the pool area but wouldnt want to stay in the rooms on the back or outside. The pool was nice. The tiki bar seemed to never hardly be open even during happy hour. The free breakfast was not that good and they shut the breakfast down at 9am during the week. By 8am the there is not much food besides crusty eggs. Eat early if you want anything. Weekends are a little better. The prices are ridiculous at the hotel I saved $20 a night through hotels.com Casino next door

Upon arrival, we had to have the front desk attendant bring a vacuum cleaner to clean the floor. The sheets had to be changed due to being STAINED, we had to buy anti-bacterial wipes in order to wipe down the sink, tub, and toilet, and just about everything else that we would come into contact with. The air conditioner began actually cooling over a half hour after it was turned on. Breakfast was stopped at 9:15 a.m. rather than 10:00 a.m., and the attendant working the breakfast bar did not speak English. (I embrace and advocate diversity, but if a person is an immigrant, I feel they should be able to be fluent in English, especially if they are going to service the customer) The manager (Danielle) was RUDE, when I called in to voice my concerns regarding my stay and did not display any customer service skills whatsoever in dealing with me. In fact, she hung up on me after declaring "This conversation is over." Overall, the attitude of the hotel was: " you paid, we have your money--have a nice day." Howard Johnson's used to have a reputation for being the standards by which all other hotels were judged. This specific hotel bearing the name and displaying the brand proves that that is no longer the case, at least to my family and myself in certain particular situations. Absolutely the worst hotel in terms of cleanliness, repair, and customer service that I have ever witnessed.

The room we were booked in was moldly and the carpet looked as if it hadn't been vacummed in months. Very dirty in general! No room service- the staff was busy playing cards.

this place was very durty! We had bugs and spider webs in our room....i was a bride and had over 20 different rooms booked through them for my family and wedding party and i was VERY ashamed to have even suggested it to everyone!!!! I WILL NEVER RECOMEND THIS HOTEL OR EVERY STAY HERE AGAIN!!!!

Hotel was nice except for the college students from Illinois. Cant complain too much for the price. Great for gamblers right next door to casino can literally walk in less than 5 minutes. Burlington was a nice little town with all ameneties of the big city.

Very dirty and the non-smoking room was not non-smoking it smelled horrible. There was filth everywhere. We left after 1st night although we had 4 booked. Too gross.
