"Hacienda Posada de Vallina - great value"Reviewed by Doug G of "Mount Laurel, NJ" on Apr 3, 2012
Excellent value. I'd qualify it as european/charming with a local, historic feel.... not like a Sheraton, Marriot or similar (which I personally liked). Pretty light in the amenities. Front desk guy was phenomenally helpful and pleasant. Rooms very small but fine for a short stay. The hotel is right in the middle of everything you'd ever want to do in Cordoba - perfect location.

"Nature Lover's Dream"Reviewed by Naila of "Los Angeles, CA" on Nov 30, 2011
This hotel was AWESOME! I loved the way it was nestled in the nature on top of a hill, yet only 5km from the Mezquita and all else "busy life stuff". It was nice to go into the city and come back to such a peaceful surrounding where you can hear the leaves rustling, bird chirping, and soooo much area to safely & comfortably walk around on. Loved the layout and quaintness of the hotel. Since Spain is known for it's crazy street layouts, this hotel was pretty easy to find (once you've done advance checking on googlemaps or have a map/gps.) Best of all, I called when we got a little "off track" and "Maria" who spoke great English advised us EXACTLY where to go. She even CALLED BACK shortly and stayed with us on our cell to fully guide us into her driveway. What great service! I already have recommended this hotel to another couple I saw in Valencia who were thinking of going down to Cordoba. I will definitely go back again....for longer time....just to soak up that peace! P.s. if you have a soccer ball, TAKE IT! They have a full soccer field you can enjoy. Our boys (6-1/2 and 8 years old) LOVED it also! While they were playing, I could hear their echos (clearly) in my room :) What great joy!

Good spot
"parking"
difficult !
Good location, friendly staff. Accomodations clean, very basic.
"Macia Alfaros in Cordoba"
We were only there 1 night, mainly to see the Great Mosque, on our way to Seville. Check-in was easy, the service was great. We had a triple and the room was spacious. Everything was great, except the room had a slight funky smell to it, but we got there at like 10pm and after a few minutes hardly noticed.
"very nice hotel, great location, have internet"
Lovely all around but try not to have room on lower street level. One of the few hotels with free internet. Location was great.
"Fantastic value"
Great find.

"Top billing!"
We stayed in some pretty disappointing places on our trip, but this was not one of them. The price was great, the room was exactly as advertised and the staff was super helpful and friendly.
"Great location!"
We were able to walk everywhere, including the Jewish quarter and the Mesquita. Great breakfast.
"A Bad Experience at Macia Alfaros"
A long and pleasant stay in Spain and Portugal was soured by our two nights at this hotel. The main issue was the pompous and aggressive front desk staff. A list of problems: 1) neglected to tell us needed a deposit for safe, special key and daily deposit...had to go downstairs and inquire why safe wouldn't lock; 2) "forgot" to give us a wake up call […] the first morning. No apologies either, just excuses. Wake up call was given second morning ;3) first room had stained carpets and bedding and a large gap in closed door - could see into room from across hallway; 4) second room was by pool, had loud private party by pool until about 12:00am, even though pool was closed to guests after 8:00pm - and had to go back and get different key for different type of safe in second room; 5) deposit required for each pool towel; 6) left do not disturb sign on room when out, cleaning crew came in anyway and made room; 7) bad odor in whole wing of hotel where second room was; 8) no air conditioning in hallways or common areas; 9) Staff insulting, argumentative (yelled at us in response to our complaints); 10) Had to register with local police, and couldn't get reasonable explanation why, although this happened in no other city during our stay; 11)They made us feel unwelcome. "Breakfast buffet not 4 star"
Hotel ok. Friendly staff. Hard to find by car.Although good location in the city center. Breakfast buffet not what you expect from a 4 star hotel.

"Good hotel"
This hotel was comfortable & clean, but for a modern hotel no wifi access in the room. That was bizarre.
"Hotel Macia Alfaros"
I did not know why this hotel had a high rate by review when I arrived . But once I entered the hotel, you will see the reason. It is cute and fansy in my eyes. I liked the breakfast buffet.

The hotel was fine. Perfect location to drive about 1 mile to the Alhambra parking lot. Only problem- the only name on the Builbing is at roof level, nothing at street level; and street didn't show on the Garmin- too new.

"Cordoba sites"
This hotel's location is perfectly located for walking to the majority of all the major sites
"Our visit to Cordoba"
The hotel was very comfortable and we enjoyed our 2 night stay. The fact that it had a car park was ideal for us, though at 34 euros for our stay was a bit expensive.
"Nice central hotel"
Good, pretty standard 4* hotel. Approx 20 mins walk from the medieval quarter of Cordoba, about 5 mins from the main shopping plaza. Clean, deceptively large hotel. Only complaint is that the pool area is surrounded by buildings so much of it is in the shade in the evening.
"sweet secret"
hotel staff were very helpful and very friendly. the hotel was nicely situated and for those who are disabled required a taxi to go to the old centre - i.e. the jewish quaters and the mosque. Rooms were comfortable, pleasent and tidy. The restaurant was very nice as was the breakfast. But the swimming pool was a sweet suprise and it was great to have […] parking facility at the hotel. We arrived in Cordoba on Easter Sunday about 14.00 hours. The hotel is in the centre of the city and our one night stay was extremely pleasant. Unfortunately the city centre was blocked off to traffic in the afternoon due to processions so we could only access the hotel after 16.00 hours We had a similar experience in Caceres last year. So anyone visiting […] Spanish cities at Easter should be aware of potential afternoon acess problems.. Read more

"The perfect hotel in Cordoba"
This hotel is the perfect place to stay in Cordoba, it's in a quiet yet central location. The service and staff are second to none. They helped me organise a surprise birthday cake and cava for my husband's 40th birthday during our stay which was great. A big bonus for the hotel is that it also has a car park for guests.
"Great Hotel, Great Location, Excellent Value"
The hotel is comfortable and very central. Reccomend Taberna Salinas for food which is a five minute walk away.

"Great hotel wirh parking and near sights"
Great hotel very convenient for all the sights but also in a 'local' neighbourhood . Staff very friendly. Pool was great and parking underground at the hotel was a definite bonus. Much better than I was expecting and for a reasonable deal I would definitely recommend.
"well located, quiet hotel"
I like the fact the hotel is close to all the tourists attractions however is not directly in a touristy area. It is a quiet hotel and I had a very good sleep all nights. Near by there is a "locals" going out area with lots of bars and a few good restaurants. In general I liked the hotel, although it is a little pricey I will consider staying there […] again Read more
"Good choice hotel for a weekend in Cordoba"
Hotel was a good price, good location and nice room.
"Cordoba"
My wife and I had an extremely pleasant 4 night stay at this hotel: food was good, reception staff very helpful and bed extremely comfortable. One negative comment however is that the cost of parking in the hotel car park is very, very expensive.
"super nice place at good value"
centrally located, nice pool, nice rooms, very comfy - just perfect...
"Muy bueno a buen precio"
El hotel es muy nuevo , cercano al centro ( 10 min mezquita a ritmo tranquilo ) y muy comodo. Tiene piscina exterior, que en verano es otro aliciente y es muy tranquilo. El parking ( precio aparte ) es casi obligatorio,ya que no se puede aparcar cerca, pero no necesitas el coche para nada. Volveria sin duda.
"Hotell i Cordoba - super beliggenhet"
Kan absolutt anbefale dette hotellet. Supert utgangspunkt for å se Cordoba. Stille og rolig. Gode senger.

"Onpersoonlijk en ver van oude centrum"
Ongezellige straat, onpersoonlijk hotel, zwembad en terras niet uitnodigend. 15 min lopen tot oude centrum en bezienswaardigheden. Ontbijtzaal kil en keuze niet 4* waardig. Kamer prima.

団体が始終発着しているので、個人客への対応はおざなりです。 悪いホテルとは思いませんが、もう一度泊まりたいとも思いませんでした。
"comodidad"

"Nice hotel in the old part of town"
This hotel can be recommended as your base for sightseeing in Cordoba. It can be a little hard to find (eventhough signs are posted several places in town): If you miss a turn you will find yourself in a maze of one-way streets which is rather hard to get out of! Thank God for GPS! The staff is helpfull and provides recommendations for restaurants […] and sights. We have stayed in more luxurious 4 star hotels but overall we liked the place! Hint: Visit the Cordoba Cathedral / Mezquita early in the morning where the crowd is small and admission is free. Read more
