We visited in the off season so the hotel was not full but its a really beautiful property with scenic surroundings, lush grounds, beautiful pool and nice service. Very quiet and spa-like. The only negative is that its located away from the main town of Victoria so you need to pay for a taxi or rent a car to really go anywhere. Nice hotel which is located in a very quiet area. Service was perfect. One can only complain of the lack of charm of this place which looks really new. The buffet breakfast is the only thing that was not up to the standard of this hotel. The juices weren't fresh, the pastries had an industrial taste and the bacon wasn't crispy at all.

Superb stay. This is what one needs to get a real break. If need be, the free wi-fi still lets you be connected to the world at no extra expense. Having security cameras fitted in the parking area would be appreciated as I found one of the electric side mirrors being somehow misaligned when I returned to the vehicle.

My wife and I stayed in the Kempinski for 2 nights of relaxation. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful. We had a complaint about noises coming from the room above ours and the receptionist immediately offered us to choose another room. We had excellent Breakfast and the news paper was delivered every morning to our room with no extra charge. […] the bus stop is few meters away from the hotel but I recommend to have your car to be able to visit the beautiful island of Gozo. For a five star establishment, directions to get to the hotel were poor. If arriving at night, the signage is non existent, if it wasnt for the sat nav we wouldnt have found it until morning!! Food was superb! Spa was superb, well staffed.

Some really excellent staff (Katharina gave superb advice when we asked about hiring bicycles, and helped us do so - a lifeline for active folks in this relatively remote spot) and Winny was great at dinner time in the bar. The supervisor in the spa was friendly and polite - but best of all gave an excellent deep muscle for me and my wife. Many other […] staff had still to make the leap from being well trained in friendly behaviour to being able provide a service that felt fully joined up with colleagues, authentic and sincere. We had the feeling that many were at the inexperienced end of the career spectrum (be that in the spa or in the hotel itself), so I'm sure they will develop strong team working and come across more naturally friendly in time and with practice. Room 309 was our first room of the 5 night stay - but proved so damp that we had to move for the remaining four, and room 407 proved much drier and consequently more comfortable. A hassle to move, but the hotel did not quibble, so well done to them for that. The junior suite extra cost was worth it. It made me smile when the Kempinski receptionist told me they had struck a deal with a local taxi company, which was a 16 euro standard fare anywhere on the island. That is a decent deal if you are going to the ferry port, not so good if you want to go to a restaurant in or near Rabat (~3km, but not one to attempt in the dark). Lovely stay really and enjoyed some great meals .Only negative was the price of the local beer Cisk at 6 euro a pint is a little steep considering most restaurants will charge about 2.50 euro . Otherwise food etc was priced accordingly .

Only negative was one loud, obnoxious, rude man who liked to be the centre of attention and constantly annoy other guests but this wasn't the hotels fault! nice and quiet location unless there is a public holiday and then the hotel will be busy with locals, not well soundproofed so can be noisy from the next room. Pool was not cleaned well and outside pool was not heated. Bathrooms could do with some updating.

I previously sent a complaint email and i did not get a reply as yet so it is for this reason that i am filling in this review. Main comments: - Very cold hotel, heating in room wasn't working, reported to maintenance and they did not turn up before 4 hours. To walk from indoor pool to the room we always froze as the corridors and lobby were always […] very cold. - I think putting in large carpets in the room will make the room cosier in the winter. - We ordered room service on both nights, however on the 2nd night we ordered an egg burger with no cheese and got delivered to our room a bun with a fried egg on it. This was sent back and a tiny slim burger was put on the bread roll. (which was not like the previous burger we ordered the night before). - The flushing of the room above us woke us up every night. - The water in the bathroom went from very hot to very cold at once. From the moment we arrived nothing was any trouble for the staff of the hotel. The room which overlooked the pool was more than ample in size and attention to cleanliness was second to none. The whole ambiance of this hotel was so relaxing I didn't want to leave and unfortunately for us then 4 nights here just wasn't enough to consume what this place […] has to offer. The staff made you feel like they were your best friend and would do anything for you........almost. If you had any problems or required anything organizing that wasn't advertised within the hotel then a simple phone call to reception and it was sorted. The location of the hotel was great if you want a get away from it all & int the winter months the local village seems to shut down but the capital of the island was only a 5 minute drive away. Even in the summer months the island is still fairly quiet & a world away from the hustle & bustle of Malta. With its limestone walls & marble floors throughout this hotel and bedrooms this hotel is kept at a nice cool temperature for it's customers. The spa facilities have every conceivable treatment you could possibly want & the staff here were so accommodating if you had any special requirements or ailments that needed attending to. The food in the restaurants was of good quality & enough of a mixed menu to satisfy the most heartiest of appetites. Our room with was always impeccably clean and the poolside view was beautiful (+ the perfect jacuzzi wonderfully relaxing), staff were very helpful & friendly, breakfast was extensive and fresh & delicious. Enda nackdelen med hotellet var att de låg där de låg. Man behöver verkligen bil för att ta sig någonstans. Det finns cyklar att låna vilket är ett + samt bussar som gick från hotellet till närmsta stad. Men jag rekommenderar hyrbil, speciellt om man inte betalat för att måltider på hotellet eller vill uppleva hela ön, inget fel alls på deras restaurang […] (god mat!) men jag och min man ville gärna se sevärdheterna och testa olika restauranger.
