I've stayed at all the larger hotels in the area and The Lofts is my favorite because it is walking distance to the Arena district and has a restaurant/bar in the lobby. Price was very fair; best of all? The rooms are about as cool as can be...a warehouse art-like feel. I was impressed with the size of the rooms too.

There was a party in the room next door with women shouting WOOOO! about every three minutes. Heard the party at 6pm, but left the room until 10pm. Called to complain at 10:20, 10:50, and 11:05. It was not quieted until 11:30pm. 1st call to the desk I had the response of "I thought they would be gone by now". Last call was "I just got here, I didn't […] know anything about it". The Lofts has a unique style all its own. The rooms are indeed lofts and have an eclectic/en vogue atmosphere. The room was clean and spacious and the beds comfortable. I was there on business. It was nice to have it so close to the convention center ss well as the enclosed skywalk connecting to the convention center.

We chose the Lofts due to it's location in the Arena district and the 'swankiness' of the rooms. The person managing the desk at check-in overcame a mix-up in the reservation by hotels.com and handled the issue quickly and efficiently. This was probably one of the coolest, most unique hotels I've ever stayed at. We were only a couple blocks from Nationwide Arena and the area of the arena district is beautiful! The decor and look of the rooms, hallways, ect was just so cool! It had a very industrial, hip look and feel. The staff was friendly and we got to use valet parking with Crowne […] Plaza which is next door. I also loved that Max & Erma's was on the main floor. If you want something simple and comfortable, this hotel is very nice. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Valet parking was a little pricey but it was convenient. The only downside to this place for myself was I am a nursing mother away from my infant and I had nowhere to store the milk I had expressed nor is there a microwave for me to use to sanitize […] my parts. I absolutely loved The Lofts Hotel for its hip ambience and smart furnishings. Think of an upscale IKEA. The room is unusually spacious and the bed monstrously comfy. The room was fully stocked with all the great amenities like Aveda toiletries and Seattle's Best coffee. To top it off, the linens including the robes were plush. Now come the bits and […] pieces that I thought the hotel could have improved on: - More than 1 person at the front desk. I understand this is a small hotel however being a part of the Luxe brand I would have thought timely customer service would be paramount. We called down to the desk for some information and never received a call back. -Lack of security in the late evening. We came back to the hotel late and there was no security or a desk person just to monitor the lobby. Upon returning back to the hotel there were a bunch of people who had been drinking and in particular a boyfriend was yelling and starting to get physical with his crying girlfriend. My boyfriend had to step into the situation and tell the yelling gentleman to leave. Knowing this was New Year's Eve celebration, I would have thought some precautions would have been made. -Water was definitively not hot enough. Took 3 showers at all different hours and the water never reached a nice temperature. It would have been nice since it was so cold outside. we stayed here after an OSU football game since when we received the ticket the time of the game had not been announced. We liked the large space of the room and unique set up. However we wouldn't reccomend it for anyone that has any sort of disabilty becuse of the type of bath/shower set up. The safety rails were on the tub and not the walls of the […] bath. This hotel stay was VERY disappointing. I arrived early and asked if the front desk could my bags and have them delivered to the room, when ready. They agreed, reluctantly, and told me to take them out to the valet. Upon my return, I asked if my bags had been moved, the front desk attendant assured me that they had. Wrong. No bags. I called down to […] front desk only to get another person, who said she had no idea what I was talking about but would look into it. I decided to open the mini bar to have a cocktail while waiting. NO KEY. I called down again and the gal said I would have to come down to the front desk to get one. Not happy, I went back down to the front desk. She said they had located one bag, but needed me to go back up to my room, get my valet tickets and would try to locate my other two. When I went back up to get the stubs, came back down to the front desk AGAIN, and there were my bags. In the morning, the sun was beaming thru the windows, as there were no black out shades. AND, upon check out, the front desk person took 15 min to print me a bill, while helping another customer first, who was clearly there after I had arrived. I think I was very nice despite the mishaps, and never an apology or anything. VERY poor service from every one I encountered. Would never stay again. Location however, was great. Read more

Beautiful rooms: decor is simple and chic. Beds are very comfortable, and I loved the Aveda products. My only qualm is that the rooms could be sound-proofed better: you could hear voices in the hallway, footsteps in the room above, and construction in the garage opposite fairly clearly. The location--across from the convention center--is perfect!

Overall it was a good stay. I think the only thing I would improve about the rooms is the lighting. It just seemed a little gray. But the bed was comfy. The wake up call was as requested. All the conveniences of a large hotel chain are available (they share some amenities with the Crown Plaza next door).

I don't know where the noise was coming from, but there was a constant low level rumble in my room (and I was not near the elevator). It was not so loud as to prevent me from sleeping but it was noticeable.

Convenient to everything - downtown, the arena district and the short north... The room was clean enough (although appointed in a "modern" fashion - it needed some updating/maintenance). The staff was excellent and full of great suggestions. A surprise was the lack of available wifi.

The Lofts is an "add-on" to the Crown Plaza. Basically, it is a completely renovated warehouse with huge, modern room! There is a Max and Erma's in the lobby but otherwise no amenities. A nice change for something different than your standard. Exposed brick and super high ceilings. We splurged on the sitting room and it was really unnecessary... the room was plenty big without it. Quick walk to all the shops, galleries, bars and restaurants in the Short North and Arena District.

It really is an old warehouse with wood floors. I don't know about other locations inthe hotel, but in our second floor room, the creaky floor noise from the room above us was excessive.
