We stayed at the LaQuinta with our kids during a weekend trip to Louisville. The two queen bed room was spacious and nicely decorated/furnished. Our room was very clean and we well maintained during our stay. There were several restaurants in the surrounding area and it was easy to navigate to (just off of I-64). We didn't use the pool or fitness room, […] but we took a look and both seemed nice and maintained. The only complaint that I had was the breakfast. It was to be served until 9:30 a.m. on the weekends. We arrived at 9:00 a.m. and the juice and gravy were both out. Juice was replaced while we ate, but the gravy was never refilled. I guess it was just too close to closing time. Also, they only had one person running the front desk and tending to the breakfast area, so he was running back and forth. They could use another person designated just to breakfast. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Read more

I thought the hotel itself was very nice and did offer all the things it said, but on the other hand I didn't feel like I had the privacy and willingness to do what I wanted at the hotel. I just felt like I was being treated as a child and was being monitored. When I first got there to check-in the front desk clerk was very snobby and had a know it […] all attitude with me. I also had a friend with me who went in with me while I checked in and he was very rude to her, saying you know your only aloud to have one visitor at all times and should follow by these rules. Nice property, allowed pets, small pool with no hot tub, but the pool was nice and warm. Breakfast ended a little too early for my liking, so I don't know what it was like. The room was clean and comfortable.

First went to make a call and our phone was broke then looked down and there was little hairs on the keys. Went to take a shower and the bathroon was not very clean and there were clumps of hair all over the shower walls!

I will not stay there again. The beds were awful, both had mattresses that were broken down, the air conditioner/ heater was very noisy, the water pressure in the shower was so bad that it took twice as long to shower as it should have. Also, the coffee was the worst I've had in decades.

When I arrived the Front Desk Clerk was in the back office. He came out of the office and did not say a word but just stared at me. I finally said "How are you doing?" He continued to stare at me not saying anything. I then told him that I wanted to check in and then he helped me. I felt like I had interrupted something and that he was not happy to […] help me out. Very, very poor conditions. No thermostat in the room. Sure, there was an "on" or "off" heater, but the room didn't even maintain a moderate baseline. This meant you had to get up several times throughout the night to turn the heat on and then, later, to turn it off. Of course, it might have helped if the room had proper bedding. One bed had a comforter, […] the other had nothing more than sheets and a thin fleece. Finally, skip the included breakfast. The waffle machine/dispenser was unsanitary, at best, with a communal syrup (rather than single serve cups) and nothing more than 4 margarine tubs (and, of course, no butter to be found). The gravy for the sausages was just sitting out in a random crockpot, sans lid. The only thing on the plus side was that they don't charge for dogs...unless, of course, your dog is over 50 lbs, unlike what's stated on the La Quinta website. Overall, a miserable experience. We were passing through on a 17 hour drive and thought we'd haul up in a no-frills hotel. Unfortunately, this "no frills" turned out to be "no comfort". I've heard of better experiences at "lesser" chains, and would strongly recommend either going that route or paying the difference to get a legit room at a Hampton Inn or something. Read more

I was not pleased with my room 314. Huge gaps around the door jamb and under the door. You could hear everything in the hallway and th light came thru. Also while I appriciate good parking lot lighting it was coming right into my room and the blinds did not close enough to keep the light out.

We were happy with stay. However, we were woken up at 5am to a rooster crowing in the next room. We didn't know that animals of all kinds were welcome. Lot's of dogs barking too. We didn't appreciate that at all. Pool was cold. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly.

Day 2 - Housekeeping left door propped open after cleaning the room. Our room and personal items were left unlocked for over 12 hours. Anyone could have gone in our room and waited for our return. when we arrived at the hotel there was dirt all over the foyer. there was still food in the refrigerator and a dirty towel hanging up in the bathroom. the location was great and close to restaurants. The beds were really comfortable and clean.

Don't stay here!!Everything was good for the first few minutes when we checked in.....then we went to ask for directions from the owner of the hotel and he started telling us not to be smoking in our room! We booked non smoking rooms because we wanted non smoking and we had our daughter with us and would NEVER smoke with her in our room anyway!! We […] still have no idea what he was talking about but he was the rudest person I have ever seen and its sad that he is the owner treating people this way! We don't know if he thought we were someone else or if he is just rude but we weren't smoking in our room and were told to stop or we were going to be charged a $200 fine. When we tried to explain we didn't know what he was talking about he just told us we would be charged a fee if we did and when we told him we wouldn't stay there ever again he actually said THANK YOU!! I still can't believe it but he ruined our stay because this happened not long after we got there and just thought about what a jerk he was the whole time. Also we picked this hotel because of the indoor pool but it was only open the first day and then they out up a sign that said it was monthly maintenance and would reopen the next morning and never did reopen before we left!! We had a few ants in our room not a lot but still don't expect to see that in your hotel room and we had to borrow the ice bucket of our family in another room because ours still had water in the bottom and spots of mold in it!!!
