Great location close to Deutsche Oper Berlin and served by bus less than 100m walk from the front door, less than 30 minutes to the Hauptbahnhof by bus and S-bahn. Excellent breakfast, one of the best I've had at the price. My only complaint is some smoking jerk in the floor below would blow his garbage out his window and of course it would be sucked directly into my windows. Thankfully the air-conditioning was working perfectly.

Had a really great stay. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed to friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the room. The only real complaint I have is that the doors and room are not that well sound proofed and you can hear everything in the hallway. But overall, good comfortable stay.

We stayed a week at the hotel and enjoyed it. Best locaition in Berlin, very close to most museums. also very close to the S & U Bohn and trains. Shopping is near by. I would stay again when in Berlin.

Very nice. No complaints. Had to pay for breakfast and wifi and parking but that seems to be standard in Europe. Breakfast was exceptionally good, great variety and quality. Room was very nice as was Hotel. Front desk staff was friendly, helpfl and spoke good English. Could walk safetly from Hotel to major attractions. On a street car and subway route. Would stay here again.

Everything was very good, including the restaurant. There are only a few things I would change: 1. The room had an old rundowned carpet. No matter how much you vacuum it, it does not look clean. Would much rather have a hardwood floor or something similar. 2. The "business room" is a very tinny space with only one computer. For the money I payed, I would expect a "real" bussiness room with three or four PC's, etc. 3. The espresso coffee machine never worked (although you can get good coffee just about everywhere around the place). Other than that, it is a great hotel ... specially the view, WOW ... awesome ... and the location can't be better. The staff was very friendly too.

Desk staff were helpful and friendly, breakfasts were great, room though small was well furnished and kept clean, lovely cafe/restaurant outside hotel, great tv room - we were very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Excellent value for money.

Hotel is well positioned 150M from a U Bahn or 800M to Zoological Station, which can be reached directly from the airport on the Airport Express train by purchasing the Berlin Welcome Card at the Airport (48 hour all transport pass €19). The Hotel I would class as a good 3 Star due to no air conditioning in the bedroom (may be a problem in summer), […] The Breakfast is a reasonable quality & value €15, my room also had a mini bar with good value price of €3 for a beer. "Hotel California - could try harder"
The location was OK situated on the Ku'Damm exactly where we wanted to be, however, the room size was too small for the amount of furniture, the bathroom dark and not enough light. One night the room next door had an all night party, we were not impressed by the response of the reception after complaining. The Cafe/Bar staff not overly helpful. On the […] positive the restaurant for breakfast was superb, there was a lot of choice, fresh fruit, breads, meats, hot buffet, cereals etc. I don't think this would be enough to tempt me back to stay there another time. "Flott beliggenhet"
Veldig bra beliggenhet, rett på Kufüdamm. Stille rolig hotel,men litt kjedelig hotellbar. Hadde bestilt noe oppgradaret rom,men fikk ordinært rom...fikk byttet etterhvert. God frokost. Absolutt et sted man kan komme tilbake til, om man skal på shopping. Litt langt unna severdigheter i Øst-Berlin.
Perfekt beliggenhed, pænt hotel. Oplevelsen ødelægges af værelsets standard (Standard room). Verdens mindste værelse!

Das Zimmer 106 ist winzig. Das Bad durch unnötige Trennwände und Türen beengt. Türen und Rahmen im Bad durch Feuchtigkeitseinwirkung in Bodennähe verquollen. Aufhängmöglichkeit für Handtücher im Waschbeckenbereich nicht vorhanden. Teppichboden am Fußleistenrand war nicht gereinigt. "カリフォルニアホテル（ベルリン）"
街中にあり利便性に関しては、すばらしいロケーションだと思います。朝食もそれなりにバリエーションがあり満足できました。但し、バスタブ有りで予約しておりましたが、シャワーしか無く、フロントへクレームしても受け付けられなく、それが全体のイメージを悪くしてしまいました。 日本のビジネスホテルの様に、備品が揃っていないのは ヨーロッパでは仕方が無いのでしょうけど・・・・ 二人で行きましたが、私の方の客室清掃係は、置いたチップを全く受け取りませんでした。（これには感動です。）でももう一人の方は、しっかり受け取ったそうなので、人によって違うようです。

"Gutes Frühstück - abgewohntes Zimmer"
Das Frühstück ist wirklich gut, das Personal freundlich. Mein Zimmer war absolut ruhig zum Hinterhof und die Lage hat mir auch gut gefallen. Ich war geschäftlich dort und dann ist es wichtig, dass man abends schnell was zum Essen bekommt und morgens gut zu seinem Termin. Beides klappt am Kudamm bestens. Was mir nicht gefallen hat, ist der abgewohnte […] Zustand meines Zimmers. Die Möbel hätte ich schon vor 30 Jahren auf den Sperrmüll gebracht, die Flure haben überall Macken von jahrzehntelangem Trolliverkehr. DAs Bad ist als Kabine in das Zimmer gebaut. Hier wäre eine grundliegende Sanierung wünschenswert. Allerdings habe ich nicht das ganze Hotel gesehen. Ich habe gehört, dass Teiel des Hotels bereits modernisiert sind. Ingen dikkedarer, små værelser, men fin beliggenhed. Parkering rundt om hjørnet i eksternt parkeringshus, skal bestilles separat.
"Prisvärt vid Zoo"
Vi fick ett riktigt fyndpris och visste inte vad vi skulle förvänta oss, men rummet var fint och rent och hotellet låg bra till nära kommunikationer. Sängarna var lite hårda och det var en del ljud på innegården, men totalt sett mycket bra och vi var mycket nöjda med vår vistelse.

"Top Hotel in Top Lage"
Freundliches Personal, leckeres Frühstück, netter Zimmerservice. Das Hotel hat eine Top Lage mit 10 Gehminuten zum KaDeWe, UBahn vor der Haustür und etliche Shoppingmöglichkeiten. Wir sind mit Auto angereist und haben trotzdem prima vor dem Hotel parken können. Komme sehr bald wieder.

"Hotell California - hyggelig hotell !"
Hotell California - et hyggelig hotell i et hyggelig strøk med unik atmosfære. Svært god beliggenhet nær shoppingstrøk og nær offentlig kommunikasjon. Mange trivelige spisesteder med 'sjel' i området! Rommet var rent og pent, og betjeningen var hyggelig og hjelpsom. Vi vil ikke nøle med å anbefale dette hotellet til andre!

Flott beliggenhet.Mitt i smørøyet for de handleglade. Helt grei frokost.fin frokost sal.Godt isolerte rom ingen støy fra gangene.Hyggelig betjening. Kjekk mann i baren!!! Lett adkomst til u bahn- sbahn-drosjer og sight seeing busser.

Jeg oplevede ikke at hotellet lever op sine fire stjerner, men ellers udemærket, dog beliggende i den temmelig pæne, men måske lidt "kedelige" del af Berlin.
